Ian Blackford v Boris Johnson full exchange: Blackford attacks 'delusional' PM after confidence vote

- Опубликовано: 26 сен 2024
- Ian Blackford called Boris Johnson a "lame duck" prime minister and likened him to the black knight in Monty Python during his speech at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday (8 June).
Johnson thanked Blackford for his "characteristic warm words" and said that the SNP leader was the glue keeping the United Kingdom together.
Blackford repeated his calls for the PM to resign, saying that 41 per cent of Tory backbenchers were with him.

“Monty Python’s Black Knight”
Ian Blackford is hilarious 😂
Only if you don't live in Scotland.
The reference to Python was a gem.
Ian Blackford was educated at the Royal High School in Edinburgh and as such, as any who were, is a small god. Blackford like any public schoolboy has a glowing career portfolio and is greatly respected by the Eton schooled Johnson. They're birds of a feather, public school fellows like Mogg and Corbyn.
MPs are far to busy tearing each other apart to get anything done
Luke Daley he's not as funny as the liar Johnstone ,that was the funniest when he went on about Peppa pig
The smile across his face shows you how much he adores being spoken about, good or bad. He won't resign, he'll keep helping his rich buddies while the majority of the country suffers terribly. It really is sickening.
It's a game. He's happy to be in the game and talked about. His greatest Misery would be out of the game and never discussed. Second to that would be to be King of all, but never discussed.
Get 18th of June there and let us make known to him who he is. A loser !
Yep. And even some of the people who’ve spotted him for what he is will STILL enable the massive c?nt.
He will have to resign if the Conservatives lose the by-elections
He will have to resign if the Conservatives lose the by-elections
We need a vote of confidence from the people, not corrupted MP's, simple as.
good luck with that in this half hearted democracy
Corrupted is what happened to your floppy disc. Pretentious cliche, end of
@Charles White the country didn't vote for Johnson, more people voted for parties that ran explicitly against the Tories (Labour, Lib Dem, Green, SNP) than those people who voted Tory or parties like UKIP or The Brexit Party.
This antiquated anti-democratic rigged system enables the Tories and yes I will still vote Labour at the next election to oust the Tories knowing full well that this system is biased in favour of the Tories. But I won't pretend that this is democratic, it's a farce that the rest of us are held hostage by this minority.
It's not true democracy if the people can't have a say whenever they want to, your delusional, coups happen for this exact reason. The political class has become entirely corrupted and must be removed as it is doing immense damage to the country and the public
@Charles White no buyer's remorse then? Not even a smidgen?
Lost my father during lockdown,he was a proud man,a hard working man,not only my father but I can honestly say he was my best mate and then some.
We could not have a service or a wake after so we had a piper leading the car to the graveside and even though we said only 10 could attend I’m proud to say a good 50 or so lined the drive to the cemetery and then all “socially distanced themselves” just a pity our so called leader couldn’t take his own advice
For what the tories put my family through I will never ever forgive them
I hope each and everyone of them succumb to a slow painful agonising death
Sorry for your loss. Take comfort in the number of friends that showed support. Give meaning to your fathers life by making the most of yours thats left.
My sympathies to you Phil I too lost my father during lockdown. In one of the highest Covid deaths during the Second wave. My two elder brothers were given the opportunity to give him his last rights as a devoted Catholic they would go to heaven without sin. I live in Leicester and they were in Coventry. I had to say goodbye to my father over loudspeaker on my brother phone.
One thing I had to say to his nurse was he was going to be a Grandfather again and his youngest son was going to be a father. I had to break to tell my family about the coming new member to ease the pain. My father was buried six weeks later after a high volume of funerals to be with my mum who died in 2001 from years of alcoholism which I was going down that route from my grief of my dad but I have a beautiful boy and a disabled wife to look after and I’m sure my dad would tell me to pick family first.
I would be angry and f this and f that over this but I am feeling sad that all of us are enduring a PM who gets a slap on the wrist and we don’t get away with this. I will get over my grief properly when he goes.
@Dog You didn't get it, do you? Sure it wouldn't change the situation, but the rules prevent people to see their loved ones dying while no10 having parties, that is not playing the victim that is a fact
Phil, Boris Johnson is a hippocrite. Rules don't apply to him, he is exempt. Despicable man.
@@MrManny075 Here Here. While everyone was abiding by the rules, he was breaking them. PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, AND A HIPOCRITE.
However much you might not agree with Ian Blackford's politics you have to agree that he strings together a coherent argument AND he dresses himself neatly thus conforming to the standards you would expect of someone representing their constituents and country. Unlike someone I could mention.

If that was a normal person standing in Johnson's shoes, he'd be far too ashamed to continue in his role as PM, let alone show his face in parliament. Seriously, the man can't be right in the head. There's something wrong with him...narcissism, self-indulgence, habitual lying and constant limelight-seeking aside.

Blackford shows up Starmers inadequacies as an opposition leader.
I never understood any of the critiques of Starmer. Is the point of the opposition to make the best jokes at the PM's expense. Or instead, to give policies that will make the country better, to such an extent that the cabinet can't help but backtrack multiple times to end up doing what Labour told them to do in the first place. Personally I'd prefer a leader that will actually make the country better than a stand up comedian.
Easily done as Starmer is a cuckoo in the nest.

Obviously there are more problems in Westminster than in Scotland, apart from the topic of independence.
The problem’s that Scotland have are nothing like the problems we Sassenachs have,I have heard many times from Scottish mps about inviting the illegal people coming here and that’s one of the issues they come here to England ,I wish they would all go and live in Scotland, another issue the funds that are sent to Scotland are mind blowing amounts, giving Scotland benefits us English don’t have but are paying through our taxes,so the likes of Blackford constantly bashing us is for me annoying and insulting and my point if we’re so bad don’t come here stay in Scotland.(I have no issues with anyone coming to are country but through the right process not through the back door)
His last comment will make me vote labor if they will rejoin Europe
the only good thing that has happened in the last 20 years is uk out of eu
show must go on
"Broken Westminster system..."
There is more maturity in a primary school than in that room. Bickering and moaning like a football crowd shows how unprofessional the people who run the country are.
I think the whole Parliament has hat to dumb down and act like 6 year olds so that Boris can keep up.
Boris what do you mean, "we've got our independence" when you're signing the UKs sovereignty over to the WHO (controlled by Gates) as we speak?
Jesus they are just rich kids who couldn’t care less about us
That was funny and entertaining. Great unity in the comedy room.
All this top level buffoonery conducted by rich MPs who couldnt care or worry less about escalating fuel costs while they laugh and joke with each other.
Hey not all mps are tory front benchers, some actually do care.
@@j.x.x.r3645 if anyone actually cared about me worrying about the fact I soon won't be able to afford fuel my car to get to work I'd give a shit, but right now I can't actually believe you.
Embarrassing show this. All the cheering “HEERRREEE” glad all these min 80k a year clowns are laughing
The exact words are hear hear which tend to indicate agreement
In the Netherlands, the most you're allowed to is rap your hand on your desk as a sign of support. Shouting, cheering and booing get's actively discouraged by the speaker.
@@VolrinSeth That may be, but the house of Commons has always been a rather intimate place where there is very little distance between the opposing parties who are -intentionally, kept a sword's length apart, so it is not as sterile and anodyne as some parliaments, but rather it is a battle ground and always has been and when were you last in a quiet polite battle? The English are a warlike and adversarial people -it is in their blood, and remember that parliament is also known as the high*Court* of parliament.
it never was -and never will be, a ladies tea party with everyone being -*-awfully polite*with oneanother, but rather it is is a battle - or testing, ground, designed to test or assay ideas in the heat of exchange. In short it is a human place/institution, and men(human beings)are the slaves of their emotions; they simply cannot help it , as you have discovered in that battleground that is yourself, no doubt. Yes is confronted by No-that is just how it is with men and perhaps all things; predators and prey, beings of the active sex and beings of the passive sex, positively charged and negatively charges, that seems to be the nature of what-***Is*-and-cannot-be different, whatever you call that. Seemingly there is no other possibility, and men (human beings) are micro-images of that generality. They have no choice.
It is fruitless to wish that That-which=-*Is*-and-cannot-be-different might somehow be different, but men cannot help -have no choice about, that either.
@@vhawk1951kl I am not saying they have to behave like members of an 18th century gentlemen's club, but the excessive booing, cheering etc are not just impolite, they're downright childish and erode the trust in politics/politicians.
@@VolrinSeth Of course not, but they have no choice in the conditions.
If you want your representatives to behave like ladies at a tea party, don't send the to a bearpit.
Blackford should remember and put his teeth in before he gives a speech
Ian Blackford is right, we at least have decent proportional representation at Holyrood, and just as well otherwise the Scottish Tory benches would be empty.( List system) The 2 party system at Westmonster is antiquated and outdated. I used to vote Tory and STILL want Independence. Not now, the Tory party has absolutely nothing to offer anyone, anywhere......unless that person is already well heeled, well off and well connected. Saor Alba.
That’s only the 41% that have got the balls to admit to it.
Can we please put Scotland out of it's misery and let them fend for themselves.
The snp don't speak for Scotland.
@@johnscott3714 Absolutely the SNP speak for Scotland and very very well too.SNP certainly have the support in Scotland Labour can only dream of and the Tories cannot even hope to do that!!!
We don't depend on England anyway.England are determined to keep Scotland because it is in England's interest to do so.That England doesn't care about Northern Ireland is obvious

How is that so?
Blackford really takes the biscuit as a total chump
Blackford is no more than a bombastic windbag far too fond of the sound of his and voice - the sort of cad that laughs at his own jokes, which is almost a definition of pathetic and impotent, both of which epithets fit the windbag exactly
Big mouth Blackford, Scotland still sponging of England 🇬🇧

This why PMQ's is just brilliant. I'm sure other nations don't get this, but it is pure theatre. Great humour with a savage punch line. ( I believe Blackford and the PM actually get on behind closed doors. Blackford even had time to reply to my email a few weeks ago) PMQ's, nothing like it !
Fucking nonsense.
Its disgraceful. Are you high? This is not a joke. These clown shoes are messing up the entire country
i think u shld say he took the time to reply to u. I have heard that some tory mps in north of england don't respond to their constituents at all.
@@NC-ck5oj I absolutely do agree this is very serious. I have never been so angry with what these tory morons are doing to this country. They are liars, they are incompetent, corrupt, they have stuffed this country with brexit.
I just enjoy PMQ's, Its a knockabout, but sometimes vicious. People like Johnson just hate it because it shows the country, through TV, what a lying, condescending, uncaring, nasty, scumbag he really is. So no, i am not high or delusional.
Apology ?
@@annemoncrieff3875 My local Tory MP has had nearly fifty emails from me mostly regarding the mess that is brexit. Only one he replied to, and that one he just cut and pasted the official tory line on the particular topic. (the petrol tanker drivers problem last year)
