when you are going to eat chickens for meat. how do you separate your self from your chickens or you make your heart stone cold? because you are naming these chickens means it will be hard for you to butcher and eat them.
You are correct. I don't eat any of my chickens and I only name the ones that I want to keep for eggs. They will live with us until they become old and I bury them with a plant on the top to remember each chicken that passed away. The ones that I don't name, I will sell them. Or barter with fellow farmers if I want to have chicken on that day. I can't bring myself to see them harmed in any way.
