I grew up around cabovers like this in the 70's. My dad was independent for years. He swore by a Mack. One was a F700/V8 like this. Then later, an 84 CruiseLiner. One may think those old trucks were slow. But they'd be dead wrong on that!!
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Seeing this big, red, beautiful F model Mack really takes me back a bit! What a beauty!! My uncle bought a new one & then tried to sell it to my dad. It was only 1 year old & wasn’t needed any longer & he had been the only driver. It was just as nice as the day he bought it, but my dad didn’t buy it. I was so shocked & disappointed! I loved it, even at such a young age. It still baffles me! I’ve never seen the breather mounted that way. Beautiful truck! Would look better in my driveway though. Cabovers Rule!! Thanks! 🥰😎✌️
Was watching you guys cruising around with that beautiful Scania but when I see the snow, no way. If I have a truck like that, the roads must be dry. That's a show truck.
My father was a truck driver in the late 1960s. He drove a single axle B61. He was so jealous when his best friend's company brought a tandem B75 with a V8. Great looking truck. Were there many F models with V8s?
Rode many miles with my Dad in F Model Macks, both 5sp Maxidyne and Tri-plex
This particular F Model due to the different style grill was commonly called West Coast Macks as they were built in Hayward California

Great truck,nice looking dog.
If it is a V8 then it has the rare engine END864 or 865,the predecessors of the E9 500.
Drove one for awhile.
Always liked MACK TRUCKS.
