Most people in trucking now don't know but this fact but international transport was taken over by Schneider. Schneider acquired international transport in the early 80s. I lived about a half a mile away from international transports yard in commerce city Colorado when that took place.

She's a beauty! I want to spend some time in a CO to see if it's something I can live with, if I ever decide to go local.

International Transport out of Minnesota. Coast to Coast haulin the most. Those were the days. I had 79 KW double bunk cab over V8. 14 speed spicer running the coasts forUnited Van Lines. Bygone era.

Long cab step over wheel means big motor, which one??

    • @UnionThugg

Probably the 3408 in a big IT tractor.

@@UnionThugg this is the wrong cab for a 3408 CAT. PETERBILT had two cab styles for the 352 and 352H. The 352H was four inches taller than this cab and you have a 3408 CAT or a KT 450, KTA 525, KTA 600 CUMMINS. The 352H steps under the doors were bigger and the front bumper had three steps. If you have time check out Harm Speerstra`s 1979 PETERBILT 352H. There is a video here on RUclips. I am not good at linking videos.

@@mgp870 good info. KW used the same cab across the board with the K100C, but you needed the long hood on the A model for the V8 Cat or KT Cummins. Then, with the new W900B model in 1982, the biggest engine you could order was a 3406B or 400 Cummins - although you could still order the 3408 or KT in the C model cabover until 1984, when it was replaced by the new K100E.

It was most likely the 1693 cat. That was really huge in cabovers in that erra as well as the KTA Cummins!!!

    • @joemac3118

@@UnionThuggthat is totally inaccurate as there were many cabovers with the 3408 cat and big cam Cummins in them!!!!!!!
