  • In this episode of Moto Photo Adventures, Jason, Steve, and Chris take off on their first leg of the South Carolina Adventure Route (SCAR). Meeting fun locals, abusing their GoPros, and goofing off along the way, you will laugh and grin your way through this awesome day of riding!!! :-)
    DESCRIPTION:
    Created by Kris Cox, The South Carolina Adventure Route (SCAR) loops through approximately 1,000 miles of rural South Carolina. Follow it, and you will see mountains, ocean, forests, countryside, state parks, historical sites, and quaint towns...all on a mix of paved and unpaved public roads designed to keep you as far off the beaten path as possible! The SCAR also connects to both the Smoky Mountains 500 Trail and the Trans-America Trail (TAT).
    Check out the website at: scadventurerou.... Interactive maps and GPS files (tracks) are available on the "Download" page. And don’t forget to join the SCAR Facebook group to interact with other adventure riders, get status updates, and read ride reports: / scadventureroute .
    ABOUT:
    Riding together on this journey are good friends Chris Smith of www.chrisandcami.com, Jason Bennett of www.docentprodigy.com, and Steve Roos of www.ashcraftstudio.com. Having three photographers on one trip could be a disaster. Or it could just be brilliant!!! Follow along as these three amigos seek out local cuisine, turn strangers into friends, capture creative images, get into all kinds of trouble, and pretty much act like 10-year-olds in grown men’s bodies!

    I used to deliver beer to that grocery store. It was a Piggly Wiggly back then if I remember right. My first trip to Charleston on the KLR. I left that gas station and went across the hill. The ditch on the other side was deeper and further over than I thought. Face down in the mud in the General Dollar parking lot 😂

    So, ya have to stand up while riding dirt roads to look "Professional " huh ! Guess I'll have to work on that. hehe
    Hope the Drone crash wasn't tooooooo bad ! I know from experience that it only takes 1 fall to cause some serious damage to these fragile birds !!!

      Thank you kindly, Charles! I have the Garmin Zumo 390. Steve has the Zumo 395. Both are very similar. Jason has the Zumo 396 which adds a few features. But otherwise, they are all pretty compatible.

    You guys are pumping me up I want to ride the scar I live in Fort Lauderdale,currently riding klx400 looking at Cb500x, how is the highway on the Cb500x

    • @MotoPhotoAdventures
      @MotoPhotoAdventures  2 года назад +1

      Hi Derek! The Klx would be amazing on the TAT or the SCAR. But it would be a pain in the butt (literally) getting to and from the trails, or after a few hours of riding. The CB500X is not as good offroad. But it handles the highways great, and comfortable on all-day trips. Check out our series from my trip through Mexico next. I cover a TON of miles in two weeks!!! For the price, it's one heck of a bike...best all-around performer I've owned. Of course it's not an Africa Twin or a Tenere 700. But it's also not nearly as pricey! :-)

    • @MotoPhotoAdventures
