From Lebanon to Russia: How a Foreigner Built a Restaurant Business in Moscow

Brian Diab never doubted his choice of a place to live. Back in the distant year of 2008, when he bought a one-way ticket from Beirut to Moscow, he had no idea what future awaited him.
Here, in the capital of the country, he unfolded his talent and became a chef, as well as opened two restaurants and a whole food court. He sincerely shares his thoughts about the move and the life that has developed, as well as reveals culinary secrets.
To prepare the Arabic appetizer Muttabal, you will need: eggplants (roasted and skin removed), tahini, a clove of garlic, firm yogurt, lemon juice, salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients until smooth. Serve with hot flatbreads.
