Just attach this as a rider to federal funding for state Law Enforcement or state highway funds. Then you only need 50% If a state accepts the $$, the requirement to allow their citizens to carry a gun comes with it. This mechanism was used in the past to force states to adopt all sorts of rules.
I grow weary of the stupidity. Amendment II IS the national right to carry. No permission needed, it is our right. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
These bills are necessary because laws passed by Congress removes jurisdiction from the Judiciary, somewhat. Why is it necessary? Because false premises have been adopted by circuit and district courts' judges who oppose our Rights (think 9th Circuit). It is necessary because blue states refuse to recognize the rights of red state citizens!
While I don't need a Permit here in Arizona it does have advantages . If I show it to a Cop they Automatically Know I'm one of the Good Guys and If I want to Buy another Gun having my CCW means I don't have to wait around to do another Background Check again . I'm Sorry to hear about your Wife Passing . We also just had a Death in The Family this Week .
I chose not to be on any list (( implying )) i own a firearm of any type... legally own === legally carry ( anywhere ) no permit for a Constitutional right.
No one is talking about adding the territories as part of this bill. I’m from NYC, but recently moved to Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico made huge steps in revamping gun laws in favor of the 2a two years before Bruen. This law should clearly include US citizens living on the island and other US territories.
Unfortunately this bill as written does nothing for the people trapped in the blulag who can't afford the outrageous cost and other requirements of aquiring a permit in those states
You could always get a nonresident permit from another state. The bill says as long as you hold a CCW from “a state” you can carry in all 50. RI is only $100 if I recall?
@mattgibson351 sorry bud but there is a requirement of residency in the state the permit is from already have 4 non resident permits and can legally carry in 40+ states but cannot legally touch a handgun in NY
It's encouraging to see Congress taking a fresh look at these bills after years of stagnation.

Such as the OUI penalties being increased to make people felons and unable to carry
God bless you and your family 🙏🙏🙏.

My condolences for your loss. I pray that our merciful Lord and Savior will ease your grief and bring you peace. Stay strong.
I'm all for national reciprocity
Amendment II, It already exists without the need to ask permission.

So a person that has dual residency with CA and AZ, can simply show their AZ license to an officer and say he's good to carry?

@@mattgibson351nothing other than ignore them anyway, political prisoners
It's actually harder to get a permit in NY now than it was pre-Bruen and more expensive too
