    Nice work you have done. Your lighting on your structures really look prototypical. I.C. fan here and I'm a fan of your channel. Thanks for the share. Merry Christmas too.

    I like what you've done with the place. It looks quite good the weathering on the shed's floor, and the lighting is great. I am sorry to say this but I intend to copy what you have done here when I build mine.

    That giraffusaurus in the background would scare the daylights out of Preisser figures... Great video and the building looks like it belongs there!

      I know, that silly giraffe sits in the window sill and I never think to move the dang thing until after I am editing the videos. Maybe next time it will be gone!!

    Looks fantastic, and the night shots were great! Do you think I could fit a EMD FT A and B set in each stall? Both units together are about 15" in length. Thanks. Just subbed to you as well. Cheers, Dan

      Danny Holt Hi Danny, from front door to back door it is approximately 16 inches, it will be close but it might work for you. The platforms inside the diesel house are about 12 inches long.

    you did a bang up job on the kit. did it come with all the pits, and island walkways?
    the night time shots under the lamp post where terrific

    • @ck7813
      @ck7813  6 лет назад

      sparky107107 yes, the kit came with the pit and walkways. The only variation I made from the kit were adding the LEDs, everything else you can build by purchasing the kit! Walthers has the instructions on their website.

    Looks great , but the kit DOESN’T include the diesel refueling rig I just bought one and mine didn’t say anything about that rig.

    Beautiful video, what kind of lights did you use in the building and the overhead doors. Thanks

      mary smith Thanks, Mary. I appreciate your comments. All of the lights on my layout are Woodland Scenics plug-and-play lights. The lights over the diesel house bay doors are the gooseneck lights (model number JP5654) and the lights inside the diesel house are the metal lamps (model number JP5675). To get these lights to work you have to buy, at minimum, a power source and the light hubs. The Woodland Scenic website has a great explanation of how the plug-and-play system works. It is more expensive than a DIY “power grid” but in my opinion, you get what you pay for and the simplicity of installing and operating this system is well worth the cost. Good luck!

    What kind of glue did you use attaching the track to the plastic floor? I have been tossing both your idea on running the track out the front to connect, Or just have it flush with the front of shop and then run the track just up to it and not joint together.

    • @ck7813

      I just used Testors modeling cement (the stuff in the orange tube). You can go either way with having the rails flush with the door or have them extend out into your layout. I found it was easier to hook up the rails to rail joiners having some "slack" to play with. If you are not planning on using joiners, you should be fine. I will warn you (because I experienced this), it is extremely difficult to get the height of the diesel house flush with the height of the rails that run to the diesel house. If they are not perfectly level, you will experience issues by not using rail joiners.

    • @ck7813

      442 Productions yes, the platforms are included. Walther’s webpage has the instructions posted on the product’s page. Just search for modern diesel house.

    Is it compatible with easy track. Just curious.

    • @ck7813
      @ck7813  4 года назад

      The best answer I can give is, it depends. I haven’t used EZ track so I can’t speak from experience. You should be able to run EZ track up to the entry to the garage door bays. You have to cut a hole in your bench to get the rails inside the facility to match your rail height outside the facility. You need rails with all ties removed (e.g., from a piece of flex track) for inside the facility. You should be able to hook them up to EZ track. If you are planning on using EZ track inside the facility, no that will not work.
