- Although we can’t get into Gaza ourselves, the Palestinian filmmaker Yousef Hammash - who also works for the Norwegian Refugee Council - has been filming there for this programme.
Tonight, he brings us another eyewitness account of life inside Gaza - as he joins hundreds of thousands of people who are being pushed towards the city of Rafah on Gaza's southern border with Egypt. While moving his own family south as well, he's documented the lives of others making the same journey.

The Gaza situation is confusing, hypocritical and obnoxious. When the Ukraine/Russia conflict started, millions from both sides fled to neighbouring countries for refuge. Gaza is surrounded by rich Arab countries and none is willing to accommodate a single Palestinian refugee. Why? They don't care about the Palestinian lives, they are only interested in the politics of grievance.

Please when Hamas went to Isreal on October 7th, was this the achievement they aimed for? They should explain to the people of Gaza what they were expecting?
They knew Israel would do this they know Israel would commit war crimes and the world would stand against the evil fascist regime and isolate Israel from the world community and call for an end to the apartheid and force Israel to leave the occupied territories to establish a Palestinian state controlled by its own people. Israel’s duty is to get the hostages back, protect its soldiers and then to reduce the ability of Hamas. All the marches and online posts do not change the priority to protecting the Palestinians above those goals. The Palestinians have chosen to not release the remaining hostages for a ceasefire. The Palestinians get the same compassion they showed to the Israelis, and they reap the consequences of having rejected the 2 State solution from 1948-2008. They can still choose to have a 2-state solution with peace, stability and a future for the children or they can continue the same path of death and misery. In the meantime, until the hostages are freed then Israel should stay the course and the Palestinians should reflect on the consequences of their choices.

The population living there wasn't even of a single group, it later coalized into the identity called "Palestinians". Most of the population in Jordan is of the same group.
