The DJI Mini 2 is finally here. It looks very similar to the original DJI Mavic Mini, but under the hood it is significantly different and more powerful. It can shoot higher resolution video, it is faster, has more flight time and uses DJI's OcuSync 2 system for rock solid video transmission. If you are looking for your first camera drone this is a very solid choice. It is very easy to set up and fly, plus it takes high quality video and photos for a drone is this price range.

Impressive technology in a 249g drone... Nice tech review Kelly. Amazing how iPhondo, Billy K, 51 Drone, Ready Set Drone all launched at time of DJI event... I know it is timed release but still to see all the notifications come out at once. I will be passing on the Mini series still holding out for a DJI FPV rumorred ? I finally am getting my Skydio 2 this Friday after waiting 51 weeks.... Stoked to see the technology experience from that of all my DJI drones. Great job... off to watch more reviews.

Wow, loving the fact the Mini 2 has OcuSync 2.0 and the faster speeds. Thanks for an in-depth review of this drone and it's new capabilities Kelly. Feeling like I want to get this latest Mini and move out the original in the near future.
Nice review! I would lower the music volume, maybe by 15-20% when you're' speaking. it's a bit distracting in some parts

I sell my images, the Mavic Mini does just fine for real estate work.
I think my Mavic Mini 1 is simply amazing. The Mini 2 is unbelievable! A complete marvel.
I will stick with the original, but if I didn't have it the new drone takes things another leap forward.

Hi Ready Set Drone,, do we know if there will be an FFC, CE versions (like with Mavic Mini 1), or if it will adapt based on GPS via neutering or buffing transmission on a software level?

I'm a beginner. I've been studying drones for couple months now. So, is the Mavic mini 2, or mavic air 2 or mavic pro 2. Can I get another point of view for a beginner what would you buy outta these 3?

At the fly more price might as well get a good 2nd hand mavic pro which at least have a few obstacles sensors compared to the mini which has none which is strange because you would think a "beginner" drone would have more sensors

Thanks for this review I might consider buying mini 2 instead of air 2. However, please make a test on the low light situation.
Buy the mini if under 250g and the ultimate in convenience is important to you. Buy the air 2 if you live in windy gusty area. And also need obstacle avoidance and tracking.
PS. I'd buy the air 2s over the air 2. Not worth saving a few hundred bucks.

Go with mavic pro can't beat it been a work horse for dji for years and you can get a like new 2nd hand for around 400
Both the Mini 1 and 2 are perfect for travel outside of the US to avoid the weight regs.

These dji Mavic min 2 have following mode
A bit of design fatigue is creeping in for me... @dji how about a differently designed drone? And some radical new features? Maybe dual motors instead of quad motors? Would lead to more flight time & a different drone design / look & feel? I dunno 🤷🏽♂️.......
A fair review though I know the camera catches better images than that shown here at low altitude over the long grasses. The camera has many features not shown here.

If I had occu-sync, I probably would not have lost my Mavic Air and be stuck with just the spark (which is an ok drone) but the flight time is really bad. It would be cool if they made a modular drone that you could pay for the features you want. :) I might have to start saving for a mini-2. Whatever the next one will be for me, I am making occu-sync a priority. :) Wow the tech these days is unbelievable!
Dji mini 2 or Dji mavic air 2?? I am on a really tight budget but i want to take cinematic videos which drone would be best buy for my money?? At the moment i am starting to collect money to buy a drone. And for the price of 1 mavic air 2 i would get fly more combo mini 2 so.. But mini 2 does lack collision avoidance sensors and active track.. And some features which mavic air 2 has.. But are those really necessary??

I’m not sure why you said the mini2 isn’t capable of professional use. Yes, there’s segments of the drone market that require other gear levels, but, there’s plenty of business that can be met with the mini2.
For sure! Just as smartphones can be used professionally, generally a dedicated higher end camera is preferred, but I hear your point. Thanks for watching.
