That took a lot of courage from her, not knowing if her other friends would follow. It shows how much she cared about and trusted Milo.

I first saw Atlantis when I was about 6 and Audrey was my literal dream girl. Now as an adult, I understand fully where my love for tomboys originated from.
That's because it was, this was the era of straight to video sequels. Lower budget, lower effort. Usually completely different actors trying desperately to sound like the original cast. Oh and completely BS plotlines.
I was born 2005, fuckin agree. It's all 3D now, never thought that was better. Still don't. There's been a few standouts but for every Spiderverse there's a project that could've been done 100x better in hand-drawn animation. Doesn't help that the standard for 2D has dropped so now a 2D rig is standard for cartoons.

All of my favorite Disney characters when I was a little girl were unintentionally strong women of color. Audrey, Kida, Jasmine, Pocahontas, and Esmeralda were always my favorite. I didn't realize it back then when I was a little, but one of the reasons why I loved them so much was because they looked like me! Representation and strong female characters that don't need a prince are important!
Weird, because I'm a white male and my favorite characters were Mulan, Aladdin, Hercules, and Cuzco, only one of which looked anything like me. Interesting that I had an easier time relating to characters based on who they were as people rather than what they looked like... and didn't seem to gravitate to characters who shared shallow physical traits with me. It's almost like that's the non-narcissistic way to view stories or something...
