Atlantis, Sinbad, Treasure Planet, Prince of Egypt, The Pagemaster, Ferngully, Antz, The Road to El Dorado - I could go on. UNDERRATED but such amazing movies!
This and treasure planet are some of my favorite Disney movies. I’d be lying if I said that they weren’t flawed, but they’re still great. And, though personality, the side characters in this are great and the main characters of treasure planet are great. Decent little switch up
I wish we could've seen these characters in Kingdom Hearts or Once Upon A Time. Since they brought in actors from Lost for the latter, I bet Michelle Rodriguez would've made a great Audrey Ramirez.
John Krasinski as Milo, Zoey Saldana as Kida, Josh Brolin as Commander Rourke, Scarlet Johansson as Helga, Charlie Day as The Mole, John Turturro as Vinny, Mike Colter as Dr. Joshua, Mark Hamill as Cookie, Bryan Cranston as King Nedakh. That's my fantasy casting if they ever did a live action take on this film.
Yeah and when kida said my father said the heart of Atlantis called her mother to it and never saw her again its really heartwarming and sad at the same time and Cree summer sounded so calm when she said it
I think this would have been extra amazing if this was a series. Don't get me wrong, I love the movie. It's just this one had sooooooooo much story to tell. It's interesting lore was thiccc and 1 hour and 30 minutes of time is so not enough. I've noticed it several times in the movie, where the pacing seemed rush as if to achieve a deadline. It's because of the time constraint of a fil not enough for the scale it was. There's so much story to tell. The first few minutes of the film was already so interesting by itself. If this was a series, they could do a series of flashback that showed Atlantis in its prime, and then they slowly reveal the events that lead to the cataclysmic event that eventually ended Atlantis. Even the exploration towards Atlantis could been expanded too. It's not just the lore, it's chuck full of unique and interesting characters as well. Kida and Milo's interaction in the movie was one of my favorite part. I could immediately feel the connection, chemistry, and compatibility. Kida is such an amazing female character. From the first time she was introduced, I've always felt safe and interested with her. Why? Because she's so kind and friendly and yet at the same time she can be so fearless and fierce. That scene in the waters was cool. She immediately got to work and beat up almost every mercenary there. She's a princess but she was also a warrior. What I even like about her was that she was never condescending to the outsiders, to Milo. She was so genuinely interested to share her culture with them and also learn their culture. TL;DR: This amazing movie deserved a longer run time.
I remember when i was a kid we went to see this in theaters... god such a classic! I had all the toys and even had that electronic Shepard's journal from KB Toys
It's funny and shocking that Milo had questions for Kida and isn't leaving Atlantis until they're answered, then she sneaks up behind Milo and covers his mouth and says the same thing

Wtf thats insane. They must be genius in teenage age if they live so long.
@@emperortime2356 Evidently not. If anything their loss of technology seems to indicate that if they don't use skills or knowledge enough they'll eventually forget about it. I take that to mean that while they have extended life spans, the brains capacity for memory has not improved.
@@cellulanus its also possible that the majority of the survivors were not scholars who would be able to read and preserve knowledge, but warriors, royals, and guards. Not all of the city survived, only the area surrounding the palace. There's probably plenty that was lost simply because nobody who had the knowledge survived.
The way he moves after finding out her age has big meme potential he moves in such a hyper realistic way it’s weird but good
They just say that the most age gap between a disney couple is Rapunzel and Eugene. A WHOLE LIE. Kida and Milo has at least 8468 years between each other. (Milo's 32)
Edit:Woooww I never thought this bullshit will get too many likes! Thank you all!
Huh. Figured him for more early 20s since he was still more just an aspiring assistant at the university.
@@samsonguy10k you have no idea of how unviersities work then. They'll keep you in entry level positions with great empty promises until you're 40. Why else do you think the man left the university?
@@XidaRen That's what I inferred with my statement.
@@XidaRen alright my problem with you is you dont have to be a dixcc head about it
Milo is 32??? Wow I guess age is just a number based on Appearances. Lol
When Milo found out how long Kida was alive for, I'd be just as surprised; she looks to be in her early 20's.
Actually I looked up and it says somebody who's 8800 years old in atlantis equals to someone in her early 20s
@@dionisosundiyetkolasimakes you wonder how old Kashekim was?

Mibsu Funniest “WTF-face” ever!
That's the face I gave my current gf when she first confessed having feels for me
Even better. Pause at Milo's face at 0:24
i love the writing for Milo but I can't really tell why
@airlockengage In other words, Milo feels like a real person due to how he acts and everything.
He speaks very naturally. He pauses, stutters and stumbles his way through words. A lot of characters in cinema speak perfectly, so they don't feel human.
he reminds me of the trendy saying, "a man written by a woman"
0:16 Good lord, I didn't know how attractive that was until this moment.
Oh my God, she can take me anywhere she so desires
Disney be creating fetishes
@@goldenhospitality8521 She look like she bout to reach somewhere else with her other hand 😏
She's a bad girl. Putting him in a hold and telling him he's not gonna leave their city until he answers her questions. In a serious but also playful way. Surprisingly, that IS attractive.
I like he was just about to talk and sympathize about his dead family and then he’s like “…wait you’re how old? Oh, looking good.”
Disney's 2D animation and character design were so beautiful back then
Damn Cree Summer has such a great voice.
Yes! She has a unique voice that has been in many cartoon movies and shows. I hadn’t actually seen her in anything since “A Different World”.
The voice of my childhood
She was also Numbah 5 from Codename: Kids Next Door which was my show when I was 6
@@nevaehlheaven numbuh 5 brody. Numbuh 3 was the Japanese girl.
Can’t forget her as Susie Carmichael in the Rugrats.
One scene. One scene was all it took to make me immediately want to go watch this movie again.
Miss this sort of animated movie. They don't make them like this anymore.
Milo and Kida are such a criminally underrated couple in an equally criminally underrated film
Kida was totally my first Disney crush.
0:44 I love this part when Kida tries on Milo's glasses
"MINIONS!" It is time to steal the moon!
1:46
He's into overages women
Anyone else miss when the style and quality of animation was an important factor in Animated movies and shows?
It’s called having different style but now calarts, fat people style is pushed.
Not 100 years old, more like 10000 years xD
ah i thought he was stuttering XD like 88-100
So he finds eternal life, and nothing registers... what kind of scholar is he, again?
the scholar who got laid.... XD
Tom Evans ...Indiana Jones type?

Kida is such an underrated princess.
0:35 I felt that on a personal level
0:45 Can we take a moment to appreciate Kida wearing Milo’s glasses
Upside down no less
It's so cute and funny.
danm this was so good, I kind of want a remake but I dont trust Disney to mess it up
no. no remakes. fuck remakes
Disney’s idea of a remake is “Hey, I bet if we just made it live action but don’t care about making the storie good at all, people will still come to see it right? I mean all people really want is to see characters in live action!”
Atlantis, Sinbad, Treasure Planet, Prince of Egypt, The Pagemaster, Ferngully, Antz, The Road to El Dorado - I could go on. UNDERRATED but such amazing movies!
We lived the same childhood I swear 😂
This movie is soooo underrated
This and treasure planet are some of my favorite Disney movies. I’d be lying if I said that they weren’t flawed, but they’re still great. And, though personality, the side characters in this are great and the main characters of treasure planet are great. Decent little switch up
And this is why I'd always love theo older animations. They actually tried to make it look amazing.
@@DeadmanInc336 The Mole would have to be Danny Devito everyone else doesnt work
@@marcusevonblade2804 Your opinion..😏
Dam Kida looking fine for 8800 years old
This was one of my favorite Disney movies to watch growing up. To this day, I'll curl up with popcorn and a blanket, & watch it.
❤
Yeah and when kida said my father said the heart of Atlantis called her mother to it and never saw her again its really heartwarming and sad at the same time and Cree summer sounded so calm when she said it
Bro, I loved this movie. I hated musicals as a kid and kissing scenes so this was the best movie AND it had action. 10/10
Damn, Milo is so attractive for no reason 😳
FACTS
Naw that gurl is
Brave and smart ;) gotta love the nerdy ones!
Kida can get it anytime
And by It, i mean a nice civil intellectual discussion
Uh-huh. Nice recovery. lol
The best scene in the movie
Movies like this really bring back childhood memories. Good old days, I miss them :(.
1:46 how is this not a meme? The genuine confusion in his face is priceless!
When you first meet up and it turns out she used Filters on every pic
My absolute favorite Disney film! 💎
"diminished physique" "large Forehead" I feel attacked
Oh my goshh. I miss Disney's 2D animation!!! I want it backkkkk
Milo finding out Kida is 100yr old and punctuates the answer with an awkward laugh and "L-looking good" is everything
Make that 8,600-8,800 years old. Hell of an age gap.
Milo and Kida are a perfect and happy couple.
Love this movie's animation, and the voice actors. Sad to not see it's quality continued.
Even though the place had sunk, it still looks like a paradise.
The level of character and mannerisms in these animations was just incredible. To bad they're just relics of a bygone era now..
Just like Animes, 2D is GOLD.
I miss old school Animes and Cartoons.
He introduced me to the forbidden world
I remember when i was a kid we went to see this in theaters... god such a classic! I had all the toys and even had that electronic Shepard's journal from KB Toys
It's funny and shocking that Milo had questions for Kida and isn't leaving Atlantis until they're answered, then she sneaks up behind Milo and covers his mouth and says the same thing
Yeah, I was surprised as well. Maybe the crystal gave Kida enhanced hearing or Milo wasn't aware any kind of whisper is completely audible in Altantis. IDK, just a theory of mine. 🤔🤔
I loved the character designs of this movie
Oh yes, now that I think about it; Kida is actually a Disney Princess.
0:08 love the underbite every time I watch this movie.
0:15 Love how Milo just accepts his fate 😂
This movie was so damn good. glad to see others share the same feelings towards it
I never realised Michael fox did the voice for milo until now lol

The first time I saw Kida I had a HUUUUGEEE... crush on her...

There isn’t a whole lot but r34 of her does exist and there are a handful of cosplayers
Look at Kida’s child bearing hips. I swear this movie awakened something in me when I watched it as a child.

This was peak animation for America. Now we have Calarts like Steven Universe.
I don't care what anyone says, Atalantis is my #1 favorite Disney movie. PERIOD!
Damn, I have to watch this movie again, its been years...
Kida is my childhood crush, I think she still is lol
Kida is best girl. My favorite Disney Princess (she technically isn’t a Disney princess since to qualify it has to be a musical apparently).
Merida is classified as a Disney princess I think. That’s not a musical. Kida isn’t a Disney princess because the movie flopped. 😞
“When did the floodwaters recede?” Reference to the Bible 😃
Didn't he cite the various flood mythologies around the world when working on his "sales pitch" at the beginning of the movie?
