Hanging Drop Method

Hanging drop method is a traditional technique, where a very small drop of bacterial culture is hung from the centre of a cover slip into the cavity of a cavity slide. This hanging drop contains live bacteria, and if these bacteria are motile, you can see them moving freely in the drop under the microscope.
