During Neil Conan’s intro I thought, good luck, you poor bastard, conducting a normal interview with questions and answers that inform the listener. Lynch isn’t going to give you “answers”.
If Lynch ever stands before God on Judgement Day and is required to justify his life, God isn’t going to get d*ck out of David Lynch. Lynch would sooner go to hell.
In fact, for Lynch, having to give specific “explanations” of his work IS hell.
