My mom watched a video that said z*onism is good because it "means that Jewish people fit in," not a political ideaology based on colonialism and genocide. My mom also told me that it was a good point. Like, no mom, genocide is still bad.
I've found that talking about "zionism" and "antizionism" in the abstract is not very useful. The terms are just too muddy with too many meanings to different people. Zionism has always been an extremely divided movement. It encompasses everyone from cultural zionists (who aren't even really zionists by some definitions) to liberal zionists who hate Netanyahu to fascists (like Kahanists) who think Netanyahu is too moderate (yes really). Antizionism is also very divided with everyone from binationalists to those want to expel all Israeli Jews (like Hamas at certain points although they've flip flopped).
I find that conversations go way better when you talk about specific issues like the nakba and the occupation, or specific solutions like binationalism and the right to return. When political discussions devolve into debating labels, they become intractible.
And as my experience as a Jew (and an antizionist), when you're talking to Jews, it gets even more complicated, because Zionism is as much a political position to them as a statement about Jewish identity and what it means to be Jewish.
I really like these articles about this. 2 of these are from the Jewish press because I read a lot of the Jewish press. I don't agree with everything said in these articles 100% but think they all have good pionts.

i love doing that too!! one of my ocs is a gardener (who absolutely sucks booty cheeks at gardening, basically has a death touch for plants), another plays dnd a lot (usually a dm) and is always planning out new campaigns, it's so fun!

Bless my Geometry teacher who accommodated and didn’t use red and blue markers together on the board, lol. Found out years later he was a spec ed teacher and that I was VERY undiagnosed, Lmao.

I have 2 triple crowned chatacters believe me it took a while lmaooo. The regional specialties are the worst as well, especially if theyre ores and other things that you cant grow in your pot
I wish we let people be more creative with their clothing, with cultural architecture, etc.
on the creative architecture point: this does raise an interesting point that, in suburban areas with a lot of homeowners associations, people aren't allowed to do anything interesting at all, really, or even without or in cities, neighbors and the municipality will come in and shut it down. In the case of climate change, climate-friendly architecture is hard to come by, and walkable cities and villages are nearly outlawed entirely. i understand this was meant more socially, that people get after creativity, but these are often the people on HOA boards.

@@Purple001-eh6zo Oh I totally agree 100%. I freaking hate HAOs, Lmao. And in part with saying we should allow more creative architecture, I was trying to say restrictions from HAOs and other architectural guidelines should be taken down a peg and not allowed to ban types of housing that aren’t single family homes, should not be allowed to ban 15 minute cities, should not be allowed to ban eco friendly structures. It’s a major problem.
And I def think part of it is also the ableism in academia that makes it harder for many out of the box thinkers to get into the field in the first place. Since you have to have a degree now and an apprenticeship is almost unheard of now.

@@Denerierax That’s not inherently illogical, but the problem is that a lot of modern academia adds unnecessary barriers that make it difficult for disabled people to become architects. Apprenticeships are a perfectly good way to learn, and often architectural plans still have to go through LOTS of vetting and verification, so it could easily be mitigated if there were legitimate safety concerns.
But also…a lot of modern buildings are built to be cheap and aren’t safe, aren’t accessible, and aren’t safe even with all those academic barriers.

I had a highly interesting course called "Philosophy and violence" recently and the actions of the state of Israel can absolutely be classified as terrorism: the definition of terrorism implies the use of military forces against non-combattants IN THE HOPES of influencing combatants! So when Israel say "their real target is Hamas", they are explicitely admitting their use of terrorist tactics.
(Also, regarding the very first TikTok, I think artists are definitely doing supply-side economics, but not for the reasons they described: the digital landscape forces you to create content to farm algorithms and create engagement. Of course if you're creating everything from fast-food to entertainment to toilet paper you're going to make some money selling something eventually! So you're encouraged to produce with almost no regards for value, quantity > quality, since quantity gets you attention.)

Sometimes I feel like there are multiple people living in me with personalities and names of their own, except they never show themselves and I don’t exactly transfer their mindsets to mine, at least I don’t think. Yeah, that's kinda like me too, I don't ever switch into anyone else as far as I know, but I've felt/heard other people in my head that have names and personalities, and I've experienced co-consciousness and passive influence. (One of them is a little girl who calls me her dad/Daddy which is kinda weird for me as a young adult who's way too damn young for kids) However, it seems to be that I identify differently with my multiple nicknames (Alex and Lab) at different times, like some days I seem to be more uptight and everything has to be perfect, I identify more with Alex, but when I seem to be more loose as a person I identify more with Lab. I physically dissociate often at work due to pain, but sometimes it seems like I have to fight really hard to also mentally be here as well for fear that I may not be professional enough for a work environment (can't walk straight + head in the clouds looks like I'm on drugs or something) and when I do finally clock out, it feels like the memories of what happened at work that day were weeks ago, but the memories of my bus ride to work feel like they happened this morning because that when it did happen. Maybe all that fighting is me trying to prevent a switch into someone who cannot work? Plus being genderflux too adds more to the pile with the joke you might've heard:
"yeah I'm genderfluid it's just that the genders have names" -person who finds out they have a dissociative disorder
I still haven't experienced periods of lost time or anything like that except in childhood (like 5 or 6, I'd end up wandering somewhere and not know where I am or how I got there, sometimes with items I don't remember grabbing) and so I've been trying to do some research into OSDD as I don't think I meet the requirements for DID.

Reading Hell Followed With Us and omfg, nothing gets me more invested in a book than a trans character experiencing transphobica. Immediate way to get me to sympathize with your MC and get me hella invested. I couldn't put it down, and I'm not a fast reader at all.
Tip: if you're not motivated to read or are having trouble connecting to the story, listen to music that reminds you of the certain scene/vibe of the book. For Hell Followed With Us I listen to "Hell's Coming With Me" and "The Moon Will Sing."

Flash Man in particular has been on my mind, though! He's one of the robots created by Wily and he has the ability to stop time for a couple moments :3 I heard he takes advantage of that to take longer baths. I have been barely sleeping all month. I havent gotten more then five to six hours sleep a night and thats on a good night. The other night i didnt sleep at all. I have never really thought of not wanting to be alive but i am really reaching the end of my rope. I recently started taking vyvanse but my doctor thinks its due to stress and not the meds but said to just keep going to therapy and i know there is no quick fix and its so frustrating. I dont know what to do anymore

- frog in any kind of hat (top hat, ushanka, one of those winter bobble hats etc.)
- any animal doing non animal things (baking/art/dressing up in silly outfits, repairing a broken vase, etc.)
- maybe a background scene in a favourite/childhood cartoon?
- a cow, they are so fun to draw their faces are so silly for no reason.
- hand practice, its the worst but drawing like one good hand feels so rewarding.
- people with interesting face textures, that sounds weird but like people with wrinkles/spots/scars are so cool to draw.
- drawing with a really bad ballpoint pen, i love the textures you can get, especially with animals, people, and clothing.
- drawing people who are either Really close or really far away.
- filling a page with a bunch of random objects/animals, like lots and lots, no blank bits.
- drawing people who have really detailed clothing, like beads, charms, chains, earrings, flow-y skits/ capes,etc ( you don’t need to draw the people if you dont want to they can just be headless entities lol )
- semi-realistic fruit. Or very unrealistic fruit ( like very stylised )

Stuff like this is not essential to the autistic experience, they call it a spectrum because there isn’t really ONE trait that shows the entirety of the spectrum. And even if there are traits that span the entire spectrum you definitely have experienced it already

I think the creator is exaggerating. Being non binary is not an autism symptom. In surveys, autistic people are more likely to say they're queer but its definitely not all. And I haven't read anywhere that a majority of autistic people are non binary.
