  • We swapped the stock ECU out for the Holley Terminator X and she runs FLAWLESSLY!!
    The Holley software is easy to use and now she runs almost 60mph all day! the original 454 in this boat only ran 50mph now we are pushing 60 and sound way cooler!

    Sounds Nice. I like that header. It sure looks like Lopez is getting down there. I guess have fun until they close the ramp right

    No way! Is that a Pioneer Outlaw!?!! I've got a '79 and never seen another one still alive! You got a rail kit on your stringers? I am building my 454 and considering doing it with the added hp.

    8-1 headers sound awesome!

    I just bought a jet boat for a project, I have a couple LS motors in my barn.
    Can you make a video about parts needed/budget required for this build?
    I have an idea but you've already done it so...

      Great idea! I’ll get one together!

    BTR Torque cam or stage 1 truck (Don't got higher than stage 1 or you lose bottom end compared to stock), a homebrew head job on some newer heads (IDK your year of 5.3), bumped compression via decking the head (or whatever it's called) and maybe some higher comp factory pistons from a newer block, and a 93 tune. Gives you a budget build that should pump out mid 400's at the crank with no bottom end loss and 6500 RPM capability you want. If you go crazier on the compression and do an ethanol tune with some Ignite fuels (especially like 14:1 and use their Yellow which is 98% ethanol) and a bore+stroke you'll be MUCH faster, all without losing that sweet NA simplicity and sound of that 8-1.
    DEWITT.

    May have missed it, what size impeller are you running with the 5.3 and what are you planning to change to?

    • @DIRTCINEMA
      @DIRTCINEMA  2 года назад +1

      It’s still the aluminum A impeller. We would like to go stainless and add more power with the A impeller. We see about 4500-5k rpm. I’d like to be at 5500-6500

      @@DIRTCINEMA You could go the B-C route impeller wise allowing this little revver to do it's thing.

    So is the whole watercooled headers thing unnecessary if you don't enclose the engine bay?

    • @DIRTCINEMA
      @DIRTCINEMA  Год назад +2

      Yes. Water cooled headers lowers exhaust noise and some heat but not all the heat

    • @DIRTCINEMA
      @DIRTCINEMA  3 года назад +4

      My goal is 70-75 I don't need to go 80 but I love how reliable it is now even at only 58 but definitely 70 with a new pump
