In all honesty you guys have taught me more than you'll ever know. Entirely grateful for these little video's that you do. I'm a part time hobby jeweler (nurse full time) and these snippets have carried me through covid xx
So pleasant to see you working, to hear the quiet explanation (with australian accent) and to see you finish a beatifull piece of yewellery. Looks so easy into your hands. Thank you very much for this tutorial. Have a nice day.
Best jewelry making content on RUclips! May you please show us how to solder brass without leaving silver seam or how to remove it. Thanks for the videos!
loyal to see the guide on how to make jewelry from you made me many new tricks .. for all of them can also give feedbak for me. thank you and keep moving forward the world of jewelry.
I love it. You just gave me an easy way to make the stone setting. I am planning to make a pear shape blue topaz pendant. This is best amd easy to follow. Thank you so much.
My Metalsmithing instructor show me How to make the basket of a stone for a ring and it was so difficult to hold the prongs when soldering it to the basket. This is way easy.
Great video thank you for sharing your technique! Your voice is so calming!! Do you solder closed the back of the bail? And, what brand of flush cut pliers did you use.
Thanks for this video. I'm in the process of following along and making a similar but oval piece. I'm wondering what type of flexshaft head you are using for such precision bur work. I'm using the standard head that came with the foredom motor but I can't hold it with the same stability as the one you use.
@jewellerytrainingsolutions Huh, I honestly thought you were going to bend the claws OVER the stone a little. Interesting that you were able to just bend them enough to keep the stone in place. I'm trying to learn this technique so I can use the stone from my brother-in-laws original engagement ring and set the emerald into a new setting for him. The original ring had a really thin and "harsh" edged band and it broke. They know I smith, so I took it with the intention of fixing it. Then I got scared I'd ruin the emerald. This video just showed me it's not *that* hard. Just patience and persistence. The real question is how I would do this for a ring setting...
Peter, what about if we have any question? how we can get in touch with you, I know by phone is expensive, but at least an email. Please, let me know, I would like to become a member. One question: what about the gauge of the wire? for cabochon stacker ring?
Peter, I sent two emails and I received a failure email notification. Please, let me know if you received my first email. I would like to become a member. Thank you.
I love that you dont need very expensive equipment and all the latets gadgets to do this setting...and it looks gorgeous!

Wow so beautiful
You might consider using compression milling bits vs the drill, to make the grooves for the claws.
Very good
Its amazed 😍
I'd be scared to cut those prongs too short. Being a jeweler is courageous.! 😻😂😻😂
