The moment when James starts talking about the correct pronunciation and Amelia immediately goes "So I have a question about Yaplacephasus' tail" had me IN STITCHES
I’m loving this series so far, and I’m glad that you guys aren’t digging into every minute detail that annoys you in these dinosaurs and can just have fun watching them, other paleo channels would put some dinosaurs like Velociraptor in f tier because they don’t look like velociraptor, but you actually are ranking the overall design of the dinosaurs based on how much you like them, and that’s great Also please do a prehistoric kingdom ranking too, that’d be great
I definitely like both Euoplocephalus and Minmi the most out of the other ankylosaurians in the game since they have the correct armor placement with it being actually part of the skin instead of separate armor plates.
I get insane that Sauropods in this game are just huge punching bags, they do nothing to protect themselves, they don't use their tail or they don't kick predators. It is even more sad to see that small carnivores that can pack hunt (Velociraptor, Deinonychus, Herrerasaurus, Proceratosaurus, Troodon, Pyroraptor, Dilophosaurus and Atrociraptor) can annihilate Sauropods in seconds. I think Sauropods should be like physical gods, and the only thing that would dare to attack them would be the Indominus. And I really dout that Frontier will in the furute make Sauropods able to defend themselves. But leaving that aside, I'm liking this series, can't wait to hear what you guys have to say about my favorites: Carcharodontosaurus, Iguanodon and Dreadnoughtus (both the Fronteir version and the Domion version. Same for Iguanodon).
I love this kind of palaeontology / gaming content. I get to learn things about these animals I’ve never really gotten to learn. I hope this series keeps going for a while!
17:02 I KNOW THAT STORY! DINOVERSE BY SCOTT CIENCIN!!! Bertram philips was an ankylosaurus Mike peterfsky was an adolescent t. rex Janine farehouse was a quetzalcoatlus. Candayce Chambers was the leptoceratops.
When you mentioned the story about it just plopping down and waiting out predators, it reminded me of something. I don’t know if you guys are familiar with Path if Titans, but you play as the dinosaurs. There’s an Anodontosaurus in it, and one of the skills/abilities is “Hunker Down” so when you crouch for more than five seconds it grants greatly increased defense. It (obviously) also deals high bone break. I can’t really say anymore on it as I’ve never played it. And if you liked the JWE2’s gait, you’d probably love the shuffle the Ano has in Path of Titans. I love when you were purposely mispronouncing the name. “European Sisyphus” killed me. XD
I'm starting to love this channel! 😄 Also, will you guys also be reviewing the Hybrids and talk about your thoughts about them? 🦖🦕 Also you should have guests around the park and release the carnivores out to see their killing animation!
I found y'all yesterday with the Indominus Rex video. I'm glad this channel exists and I'm honestly enthralled with the discussions. Keep up the good work everyone. Dinosaurs are cool. Y'all are cooler.
I learned a lot i never knew about ankylosaurs, really great video! Have you guys considering looking at the game prehistoric kingdom? They have much more accurate depictions of these creatures and they feel much more real and alive! Not to mention they recently updated with multiple new species including an absolutely gorgeous Dilophosaurus reconstruction!
We are DEFINITELY going to take a look at Prehistoric Kingdom! We're still trying to figure out how we want to approach that game, so our videos on it may take some time, but stay tuned and you'll definitely see it here!
Oh my god, I remember that book with the high schoolers getting their minds sent back in time! I think there was actually a series, but I only ever read the first one. It’s been years since I last read it, and the kindle it was on has disappeared somewhere. Need to see if I can dig it up somewhere else and re-read it for old times’ sake, if nothing else.. Edit: Two things - 1.) Did some digging (HA!) and found the name of this series. It’s called “Dinoverse,” which is a tad uncreative in my eyes, but that’s neither here nor there. Anyways, 2.) “an animal the size of an elephant with spears for a face” is quite possibly the best way I’ve heard someone describe a Trike, and I will use that as often as possible from now on when referring to them. Thank you.
oh I remembered it too but could never get the name right. I think there was some weird publishing where the first book was published, then republished as two and all subsequent stories were also two?
This is one of my favorite channels right now. Love what you guys do. Are you going to include the Malta creatures on here? I noticed that Atrociraptor was not featured below the tier list.
You still have a lot of species left to make content on in this game but if you’d like suggestions for other video games with fossils to examine RDR2 has 30 separate fossils that go on to be miss matched in a giant amalgamation by the paleontologist you send them to in a lampoon of the bone wars but individually they might be interesting to look into. They seem to include species ranging from actual dinosaurs to Pleistocene mammal and even some aquatic specimens all with a relatively small amounts of skeletal data. I’ve just thought it could be a fun thought experiment to try and break down which 30 North American fauna make up the whole scavenger hunt. There’s even a few other fossil/skeletal examples in that game including a mammoth, some cetaceans, and an early Native American person who seems fossilized in a cliff face
Damn it, guys! I'm supposed to be coming away from this video with new information on Euoplocephalus, not reimagining them as the dinosaurian equivalents of a T. rex's overly crispy chimichanga. In all seriousness, I really enjoy hearing your conversations. You seem to be striking-for me, personally-the perfect balance between general information, specialist information, niche humor, and straight-up memes. Looking forward to keeping up with the channel!
Euoplocephaus having the locomotion of a Rhino or Hippo... that's a raally interesting conclusion to be made.. I mean, I don't expect a dinosaur like Euoplochephaus to be running at 40 or even 20 mph over short distances, but I can believe it could crank up it's speed if in needed to.
OMG.....watching you all rate the Raptors in my childhood fav movie was AWESOME....Im giving my love and following this JP series....please dont stop....I know your studies make it hard to make videos because you must be busy ....but Im an artist and I wanna see your take on all of them....thank you for the knowledge.....also another video game to critique would be The Isle....amazingly done graphics and many species.
I ALSO REMEMBER THIS BOOK ABOUT THE CHILDREN SENDING THEIR BRAINS BACK IN TIME I'M SO GLAD ITS NOT JUST ME. Also there's a sequel to that book where I think literally the exact same thing happens to another bunch of kids, I think one of the characters returns but I'm not sure
Commenting from the future on saturday morning on the 30th of September, where from the wuerhosaurus video the skeleton crew got brachiosaurus on the wheel of mythicalit- i mean the WHEEL
Great video and very well made too! One thing i can recommend is using the Capture Mode feature of the game. It can be very useful to good close ups of the dinosaurs in the future.
18:11 I’m sure they’re joking but I still wanted to comment because many scientists (not just paleontologists) are wanting to be as accurate and perfect as possible. Things like Combat don’t always go smoothly so small variables like the euplo getting hit in the face are likely to be present. It’s honestly more accurate if an accident like that occurred.
This is great. Gotta ask though, why dont you just pick the dinosaurs yourselves rather than doing it randomly? Love euplo but surely it would be better for your channel of you picked dinosaurs where there is a lot you could talk about in terms of their design, not even necessarily about how famous they are.
I'm tempted to say it's pronounced Yoo-oh-plo-ke-falus, just to see if anyone gets the reference, but everytime I've heard the dinosaur's name, it's pronounced Yoo-oh-plo-se-falus.
I died laughing when the windows theme was used when the Euoplocephalus got one shotted by Albertosaurus! 😂😂😂
@CastortheMudwing That's true! Sorry I didn't get your comment earlier.
29:58 "Crocodile living in a Baba Yaga house" is an oddly perfect way of describing big theropods lmao.
I like that this isn't 100% nit-picking every inaccuracy. Its the perfect balance of "this is inaccurate but I still like it." Can't wait for more.

“I want it to be my friend”
10/10 perfect analysis. This is how I look at ankylosaurs, big pine cone friends
One of the sad parts of JWE2, herbivores are so weak in the game
I definitely like both Euoplocephalus and Minmi the most out of the other ankylosaurians in the game since they have the correct armor placement with it being actually part of the skin instead of separate armor plates.
Also because they look like turtles..
Y'all have become like my favorite podcast now- keep it up! Super fun and educational!
Every new video from y’all is an absolute gem to be cherished.
Triceratops next. Cool. My fav dinosaur!

Commenting from the future when they finally got Sauropelta on the wheel for episode 32
I love you five so much, this is great!!
Also, that naming section was S Tier content
I love Ankylosaurs and Nodosaurs even as a kid I've had a fondness for Armored dinosaurs.
I'm starting to love this channel! 😄 Also, will you guys also be reviewing the Hybrids and talk about your thoughts about them? 🦖🦕 Also you should have guests around the park and release the carnivores out to see their killing animation!
So close to Therizinosaurus! But excited to see the Triceratops episode, specially since it has different models
Yay new vid
Yeah, it definitely kinda sucks that some of the herbivores in the game get one shotted all the time when they fight carnivores.
Great video! I love too hear what you guys think of the dinosaurs and pterosaur in the feathered dlc.
This, is gonna be a long and fun series!
I found y'all yesterday with the Indominus Rex video. I'm glad this channel exists and I'm honestly enthralled with the discussions. Keep up the good work everyone. Dinosaurs are cool. Y'all are cooler.
Perfect for a saturday afternoon, I was so excited to see there was a new video :)
Was waiting for this. so happy its here, cant wait for the next one!
you guys are some of my favorite youtubers, keep it up!
I think this kind of scicomm is really great approach, anticipated to see this series more and more :)

@@skeletoncrew8122sorry for the late response, can’t wait! It’s really exciting to hear your perspectives on all this as actual experts!
I’m curious to see how you guys react and rank the hybrids.
Yay I've been looking forward to another video
I was going to say that the tailclub in super similar to Anodontosaurus's,, great video!
Thank you! Happy we caught that in the edit haha
BROTHER! WAKE UP! The skeleton crew posted another video!

I love Sauropelta and i will never recover from it being scrapped from Prehistoric Kingdom
Very interesting series, you guys are making some fun and informative content.
Im loving these videos man
God, the amount of times I wheezed watching, it's amazing
This is one of my favorite channels right now. Love what you guys do. Are you going to include the Malta creatures on here? I noticed that Atrociraptor was not featured below the tier list.
We will! Just need to update the tierlist we're using
2k SUBS CONGRATS
*In the voice of an 83 year old Sith Lord* I've been looking forward to this.

I remember reading that book back in 6th grade!
Y'all are a great combo with YDAW. Keep up the good work!
Bro herbivores should be majorly buffed, anky should nearly one shot most predators

Oh I read some of that book series, Dinoverse was fun! Goodness it would be fun if someone revived the concept

Commenting from the future on saturday morning on the 30th of September, where from the wuerhosaurus video the skeleton crew got brachiosaurus on the wheel of mythicalit- i mean the WHEEL
Good stuff. Probably my favorite of the thyreophorans in the game.
Great video and very well made too! One thing i can recommend is using the Capture Mode feature of the game. It can be very useful to good close ups of the dinosaurs in the future.
Are you actually going to do 102 episodes? I respect the dedication!
were you talking about dino king in the start...?
**instant nostalgia**
Some potential terms for baby tyrannosaurs:
1. Crunchlings
2. Tyrunts (Yeah yeah, pokemon. But it fits!)
3. Chompers
im excited for the rabbit hole that will be the spinosaurus video
Love this. looking forward to more episodes.
My favourite part is the spinning wheel

it's pretty lame how the euoplocephalus can't even fight back
do stegosaurus its the best dinosaur pls!
This is great. Gotta ask though, why dont you just pick the dinosaurs yourselves rather than doing it randomly? Love euplo but surely it would be better for your channel of you picked dinosaurs where there is a lot you could talk about in terms of their design, not even necessarily about how famous they are.
One must imagine European sisyphus happy
Whats that book called
Oh shit, hi from Norwalk to the Yale people.
But... but I do like Sauropelta...
I'm tempted to say it's pronounced Yoo-oh-plo-ke-falus, just to see if anyone gets the reference, but everytime I've heard the dinosaur's name, it's pronounced Yoo-oh-plo-se-falus.
Next time roid up the dino before you test it out for fights also turn combat to max so it happens more often
Can you guys please consider taking a look at ark? Plspls
It's pronounced Yoo-ploo-the-phallus your'e welcome /j
