My sleep space ticks all the right boxes - It is my haven of peace & tranquility though a recent purchase of a rebounder (a mini round trampoline) has meant there was nowhere else to store/use but here. It leans against the wall. I could dismantle it each day & fold it in half but it's a faff to do so & I prob wouldn't then use it!

      @Allan-Teo  4 месяца назад +6

      Thank you for the love once again! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the channel! To answer your question, yes, in traditional Feng Shui, having your feet face a window isn’t ideal. But don’t stress too much-there’s no such thing as 100/100 perfect Feng Shui! In bedroom Feng Shui, there are countless (around 15,392😛) taboo placements, and it’s nearly impossible to get everything right, especially if your room isn’t huge like I mentioned in the video. The MAIN focus should be on avoiding the ‘door’ alignment and next to follow the other 7 tips I shared. For your situation, if you can move the bed, that’s great; if not, just ensure you have good curtains and keep them closed while you sleep. 🛌
      Hope that helps!❤

    Thank you for these tips. I always try to consider Feng Shui principles when arranging the various spaces in my life, but I wonder about my bed placement. It’s a large bed (which I cannot replace with anything smaller) in a small room that I’ve placed diagonally from the door. However, a tiny portion of the bed faces a tiny part of the doorway. (A bedside cabinet and a window are in direct line of the door). Since the majority of the bed is NOT in the doorway, all should be well, right? Thank you again for your good advice.

    • @Allan-Teo
      @Allan-Teo  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, that’s right! Like I mentioned in the video, the biggest "damage" is when the bed is directly in line with the door. Since the majority of your bed isn’t in the doorway, it’s fine. Sometimes it’s not possible to get everything perfect. It’s just like LIFE! there’s no such thing as a perfect life, and there are always going to be some issues. Just make sure that the small portion in line with the door isn’t where the head of the bed is, as I explained in the video. You’ve done well to consider Feng Shui principles in your space! 😊

      @@Allan-Teo Thank you for responding! I feel better! ❤️‍🩹 Because I live in Western-style homes (and workplaces) I am especially interested in Feng Shui “cures” to offset “bad” architecture/design , etc. Usually it’s mirror placement, symbolism in art, use of crystals (like the fancy chandeliers in the foyers of wealthy people’s homes - no wonder the rich get richer!) But recently we needed to do some remodeling of our bathroom. When we opened the bathroom door, the first thing we saw was the toilet! AND that doorway was slightly offset from the bedroom door across from the bathroom. At night, being half-asleep, when I ‘d walk out of the bedroom to go to the bathroom, I would always bang my shoulder into the doorframe. Ow! In the remodel, we moved the toilet out of the line of sight of the door and behind a half wall for privacy. And the bedroom door was relocated, so no more sore shoulders! The bathroom is now a calming space for showering or bathing.
      If someone can’t do a remodel, how could the offset doors problem be “fixed”? Because small changes can have such big impacts, I would be interested in any other videos you have about easy Feng Shui cures. I love your channel and I am a new subscriber! Thank you!🙏

    Hi there! I'm a new subscriber. Thanks for your insight! If the bed only works under the window, would a headboard help?

    • @Allan-Teo
      @Allan-Teo  4 месяца назад +4

      Hi there! Welcome to the channel, and thanks for your question! 😊
      If you find that you’re often feeling sick, not sleeping well, or getting migraines, the bed position under the window could be a factor. If you’re not experiencing these issues, there’s no need to worry. However, if you want to be on the safe side, it’s a good idea to keep the window behind the bed closed. Having a headboard definitely helps, as it provides a sense of support and stability, and prevents you from accidentally hitting the wall. Thanks for your question, and I’m glad you like video! 🙇🏻‍♂️

    Hi very good advice. I have a question. I'm about to renovate my house and I'm thinking to move it to the center of the house on the side but in front of the door about 4m away will be the kitchen island and the kitchen window and the stove under the bench the island will block the oven. So will this effect the energy. And should I block off the window or put a curtain or even tint the window. Can I get advice thank you

    • @Allan-Teo
      @Allan-Teo  3 месяца назад +1

      Thank you for your question! I appreciate you reaching out, but the situation you’ve described is a bit unclear, so I don’t want to risk giving you an inaccurate answer.🙏
      However, I can’t bear to leave you without some guidance, but take note it's "unofficial", based on "assumptions". If I may “assume,” you mentioned wanting to move something to the center of the house. In Feng Shui, we generally avoid placing "major" activities, rooms in the center, as this area represents the "heart" of the home, we want it to be on the calmer side. So if your bedroom/kitchen is something that you want to shift to the centre, i advised you not to. However I always tell my clients and friends that Feng Shui should be approached with a balanced mindset-considering Feng Shui, practicality, and beauty. But achieving that balance can be tricky, like the analogy of cheap, fast, and quality, you can usually only pick two.
      You also mentioned that the kitchen island is in front of the door, which suggests that your front door might directly face the kitchen when you enter. This isn’t ideal in Feng Shui, as it can cause the Qi to be unstable. I actually covered this in another video, so you might want to check it out for more details.
      That said, these are just "unofficial" ideas based on what I’ve gathered from your description. For a more precise assessment, I recommend consulting with a trusted Feng Shui advisor that you might know. If you'd like, feel free to contact me through my website to arrange a detailed Feng Shui audit, so we can review your floor plan and find the best solution together. This will ensure everything is in harmony for your peace of mind.❤

    I have a small bedroom upstairs right above the front door. My bed is only fit in facing the window align with the direction of the front door downstairs. Is that bad or good for feng Sui?

    • @Allan-Teo
      @Allan-Teo  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks for reaching out! 😊 It’s a bit hard to visualize the exact layout from just the description alone, so I don’t want to make any assumptions that might not be accurate.
      Just a few quick tips based on my “assumptions” of your description… having a bedroom above the front door is generally okay. As for the bed placement, as long as the bed isn’t directly in line with the door, it should be fine. Unless you have a large bedroom, it’s common to have limited options for bed placement, so don’t stress too much about getting it “perfect.” Feng Shui, like life, isn’t about achieving 100/100; it’s more about avoiding the most major taboos, like directly aligning with the door.
      If you’re concerned, a Feng Shui audit would be the best way to go over these details and provide specific guidance for your layout. Feel free to reach out if you’d like more tailored advice. Hope this helps! 🙏

    If my bed is facing the mirror (coz my apartment bedroom is small), is it ok to put a white curtain in the mirror to create blockage directly to the mirror? This is the only solution I can think of as moving my bed is worse.

      @Allan-Teo  18 дней назад

      Not as bad as having it facing the foot or head of the bed, but still not the most ideal. If the dresser mirror is facing the side of the bed, just avoid placing it near the head side. That way, it minimizes any potential negative effects. Hope that helps!😊

      Hi! Thank you for engaging and sharing your bedroom layout. As much as I’d love to help, the diagram is a bit unclear, so I don’t want to give you advice that might not be accurate. As a general guide, when faced with a situation where all locations seem less than ideal, the best approach is what I mentioned in the video, "choose the option with the least damage". If you’re still unsure, it’s always a good idea to consult your trusted Feng Shui advisor. Alternatively, feel free to PM me to arrange a Feng Shui audit so we can take a closer look and get it sorted out properly.

    • @Allan-Teo
      @Allan-Teo  4 месяца назад +1

      If you’re looking for an 'unofficial' answer, it seems like the best spot might be the side opposite the closet. Like I mentioned in the video, sometimes you have to choose the option with the least "damage". In this case, I’d suggest placing a shelf or something similar to block the view of the toilet if the room is big enough. Also, make sure to keep the toilet door closed and maintain cleanliness to help minimize any negative effects. However keep in mind, this is based on what i guess your room might be, this is an unofficial, general advice. But hopefully, this give you some idea how to place your bed! Hope this helps!🙏

      @Allan-Teo  4 месяца назад

      thanks for reaching out! I didn’t mention anything about balconies in this video, so I’m curious why you think you can’t place the bed in line with that door. If some other feng shui experts told you that, you need to ask them why? Anyway, i don't want to leave you empty handed, although your question is a bit too general, like why can't you place on the other two sides, the balcony door acts like a window-it’s where the Qi exits, and it’s generally okay for the bed to be in line with that door. What’s more important is avoiding being in line with the 'active' door, the bedroom door where people enter and exit, the Qi entryway. Hope it helps!
