So true about clashing roads energy! I lived in an apartment where the main path from the parking lot pointed directly to my front door. I constantly felt anxious and restless. Within a month of moving in I tripped, fell and broke both of my wrists. My brother, who lived with me while I recovered from the broken wrists, had a stroke. Three months later my cat got sick and died. I had money troubles the entire time I lived there. I moved out as soon as I could because it felt like that place was cursed.
Wow! Thanks for sharing your experience! 🙏 It does sound like the energy of the space might have been quite intense, especially with the path pointing directly to your front door, which can cause disruptions and stress in a home. You definitely made the right choice by moving out, as sometimes the best solution is to remove yourself from an environment that feels off. Feng Shui is about creating balance and harmony, and when the energy is too harsh, it can absolutely manifest in ways that affect our well-being. I’m glad to hear you’re out of that situation, and I hope your new space brings you more peace and stability. If you ever need any advice on making sure your current place has better energy flow, feel free to reach out! 🙏 Wishing you all the best in your new home. 😊
Wow! So my husband and I have always said no to homes that had highways in front of them, busy roads and one that had a very serious curve in front of it. Each issue made us feel uncomfortable about the home and now I understand why. We are currently in a rental as we plan to leave the area in a year or two and there is a very busy road in front of us. I am only comfortable in the front yard early in the morning on weekends when there is much lighter traffic flow. On one occasion the road was closed for 4 hours and the entire feel of the property was so amazingly different. Thank you for explaining why.🙂
Thank you so much for sharing your experience!🙏 It’s amazing how intuitive we can be about the energy around us, even before fully understanding why. I’m glad the video provided some clarity on why you felt that discomfort around busy roads and curves.I appreciate you taking the time to share this, and I hope your current home continues to provide some peace, especially in those quieter moments. Wishing you the best as you prepare for your next move! 🏡
You can build a front fence higher than eye level. We used to live in a very quiet street, 2 yrs ago moved to a very busy street as we've just finished building there. Before we moved in, we expected to move out quickly, but it's so nice here! We have a tall fence, about 1.8-2m along the front and side. But we're never garden ppl even in our old house. We just stay inside and it's fine. 😊😊 we bought a new place now, will be a year or 2 before it's finished building.
@@steph4922 thank you for the thoughts. This area is very very expensive and when we leave this home will be a year down and a massive monstrosity of a mansion will go up in its place. Eventually, the front yard will be cut in half as they widen this (now) back country looking road. It’s unfortunate that this is the way things are done in this area right outside Washington, DC. We are going to move and look for a large amount of land in a less expensive area with so many trees around us that we can see anything except trees and animals. That is my happy, peaceful place.

With the bow formation of a road, it does seem more unsettling because cars can slide off the road into your house if there is ice, loose gravel, oil, etc.
What would you recommend if there is an underground cesspit in front of the main entrance? Covered with grass/garden, emptied a few times a year with machines. Does it need intervention? Thank you
Thank you for reaching out! 😊 Generally, it’s ideal to have a clean, open area at the front entrance to allow good energy to flow freely, so having a cesspit isn’t the best feature. There’s a practice in Feng Shui where, if we don’t see it, it’s not counted, it's not there!😆 It's the philosophy of "Ignorance is Bliss". It’s not the best solution, but it’s certainly better than seeing it and letting it affect your peace of mind. That's the reason why in my video, i suggested that if you have a negative external feature, try not to walk in that direction, so as to avoid seeing it.🙏 In your case, since the cesspit is covered with grass and blends into the ground properly, that should be good enough. However, if you notice any odor or visible smog, it may require intervention either from you or your local authority. For a more accurate assessment, a Feng Shui audit would allow me to consider all factors and provide tailored advice specific to your layout and needs. If you're interested, feel free to reach out via my website, and I’ll be happy to help! 🙏
Hi Allan thank you so much for your videos. Can I ask if talking about house facing direction, is it from the main door or balcony? Thank you in advance🙏🏻🙏🏻
You're welcome! 😊 Different schools will say different things for this question. Some will say the front door, some say the brightest area, and others might even tell you it doesn’t matter. Personally, I consider the front door as the key point because it’s where the most important energy/ Qi flows due to human activity (going in and out). Might make a video on that in future! Hope that clarifies things for you!🙏
My mother’s house is on a very noisy and busy intersection. We have to sell the house to pay for her nursing home but there’s little interest because of the traffic noise. She already has a lovely garden with some trees but if I bought a Shigandang to put in my mother’s garden, would it help? And where do I put it?
Thank you for sharing! If you're thinking about using a Shigandang to help sell the house, unfortunately, it doesn't quite work that way. Shigandang is traditionally used to minimize negative energy from external factors, but it won’t influence potential buyers. If you're going to live in the house or stay there for a while, it may help reduce the harmful effects of the busy intersection. However, for the traffic noise specifically, I’d recommend looking into practical solutions like soundproof windows. This can make a more immediate difference in improving the comfort of the home. Hope this helps!🙏
I’ve also just signed a lease for a unit with its front door opening into the dining room and facing directly the doorway to the kitchen. Is that a problem?
Thank you for your question! Since I can’t visualize your layout perfectly from just a description, I wouldn’t want to give you inaccurate or general advice. If you're concerned, I’d suggest arranging a more tailored Feng Shui audit with me, and I can help you assess whether it's a problem and provide personalized solutions. Hope that helps!🙏
There’s a swimming pool right in front of my HDB house. I live on the higher floor, so I can see the aqua blue pool right from my main door. Next to it is a sports complex. The exterior of the roof is designed in such a way that there are many extended concrete pillars in the shape of arrows pointing skywards. From the Feng Shui’s point of view, is there any significance? Kindly enlighten.
It’s good to have a water feature in front of the house in Feng Shui as general advice. Hope that helps!🙏 However, there are other factors to consider, so it would be beneficial to get more tailored advice. I recommend having a trusted Feng Shui advisor take a look at your home. Alternatively, you can arrange for a Feng Shui audit by me to get things sorted out! www.allanteo.com/fengshui 😉
Thanks , what is the approximate distance to the highway that would cause concern ? I am few streets down from it, cannot see it but I can hear humming noise.
Thanks for reaching out! The distance from the highway becomes more concerning when it's right in front of your house, especially when you open your front door and it's right there, "welcoming" you directly. Since you're a few streets down and can't see it, but can hear the humming noise, the highway's negative energy is still present, but not to worry so much, it is not so impactful. This is like a Noise - Sha (Negative Force). We want peace in our lovely home, so you don't want constant annoying humming noise. You might want to consider remedies like what i mentioned in the video, soundproof windows to block out that noise. If it's not causing any major issues in your life, though, it might not be something to worry about too much!
Hi, I’ve heard that playground/school are a gd Feng shui thing to have nearby. But honestly, I find the primary school and playground are quite disturbing personal peace. Pls enlighten if it’s really true about children qi surrounding external house is gd? Thanks
Thanks for the great question! 😊 Like I mentioned in the video, there are many schools of Feng Shui, and each has different opinions about having a school nearby. Some say it's good, some say it's bad, and others believe it depends on the direction of the school. Personally, I see a school as a POSITIVE external feature! Yes, it can sometimes disturb the peace, but the noise you hear is typically laughter and joy from the children, which is far better than hearing things like drilling, vehicles or arguments. Furthermore, it is only during their recess or break time, just a short period of time. The energy around a school is generally positive, full of life and activity. So while it may be a bit noisy at times, I believe it's bringing good Qi to your space. Hope this helps!🙏
My husband doesn't like schools as there's always traffic. Especially primary schools, kids are running everywhere, it's kinda dangerous. Gotta watch to ensure kids are safe 😅. We lived 3 streets away from a primary school for 10yrs, it's ok since there's not many kids but we do hear a faint siren each day 😅 I think the ones immediately surrounding the school, lots of traffic and kids 😅
It’s not the most ideal, but as long as it’s not a busy area like a highway or a major intersection with lots of fast-moving traffic and energy, it’s generally fine. And not in front of your front door, which is more impactful. What we want to avoid is traffic that brings a lot of pollution, noise, and disruptive energy, disturbing your peace. Car parks usually have slower, minimal traffic, so they’re generally okay. Hope that helps!🙏
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Since I didn’t mention anything about balconies in the video, I’m curious what specific concerns you have about your balcony facing another condo. Which category are you referring to? I put a lot of effort into making the video and ensuring the information is thorough, so you might want to watch it again for more clarity and the remedies. 😊

Thank you for watching my video and taking the time to comment even when you find this a joke..🙏 Feng Shui isn’t a joke, but I can certainly tell you a joke or two, like I did in the video! 😄 In all seriousness, though, Feng Shui is similar to religion in that it’s based on thousands of years of observation, experience, and how people feel in their environment. It’s not something that can be proven scientifically in the way you might expect. If you’re curious to understand more, feel free to read up on Feng Shui.
