    How close is the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion to the PM lotion? I have been using the daily moisturizer and a separate niacinamide+zinc.

    Hey Doc, can you give your feedback on this Banana Boat Sunscreen tanning Oil Spray SPF 15. Does it even do anything to help you tan ?? 😅 If it does, what if I put it *ON TOP* of an SPF 50 - 60 or something ???

  • @BarbieBabeEve
    @BarbieBabeEve 9 месяцев назад +3

    Hey 1st appreciate your recommendations. CeraVe AM moisturizer only caused pilling for me & I see others online say the same. To fix this I either mix it with another moisturizer (I'm using Neutrogena Hydra Boost Gel Cream with SPF 25) or even add a dot of CeraVe PM moisturizer. And/OR spritz water over my face and then rub in. 🤗❤

      But if I'm going to be in the sun/outside ☀️ for 30+ min I always add an SPF 50+ I'm using Neutrogena Ultra Sheer dry touch SPF 60 for face & neck & upper chest. Now using Equate Sport continuous spray sunscreen SPF 50+ and when tanning I also add on some Banana Boat Sunscreen tanning Oil Spray SPF 15. I'm thinking this one doesn't actually do much for "tanning" but it's a whole beach vibes and teenage nostalgia thing for me 😅 would appreciate your feedback on this Banana Boat Sunscreen tanning Oil Doc ??

      @@joycej9415 I hear ya ...but I do both! 😅 I wear a high SPF and after 15 to 20min, once I'm at the beach, I put the low SPF tanning Oil 😇 just wondering if the tanning Oil does anything. Mayb I should ask another type of content creator then 🤗 lol Ty 🌷

      Don't mix your sunscreen with anything. It's better to layer products so you have even sunscreen coverage, yes even with other sunscreens. You might need to switch brands to find a formula that you'll actually use with consistency. Most derms will say to have a minimum of 30 SPF and won't recommend a tanning oil because A) they won't advocate for tanning because of the damage caused by UVA/UVB rays, and B) low SPF does not provide adequate protection, even when layering. Proper use of sunscreen is only one part of sun protection. Wearing protective clothing and minimizing sun exposure during peak times are also important for skin health.

      @sumlem Exactly, I have just had several precancerous removed. The amount I get now is drastically less since I have been doing what you recommended for the last 30 years. But I tanned as a teen and wish I had know better! My Dad is going through treatment for skin cancer and my uncle died from skin cancer. We grew up before there was sunscreen.

    The Cerave PM lotion actually stings my skin, even when my skin barrier is intact! I don’t think it’s the hyaluronic acid or the niacinamide in it because I use those things in other products and I’m fine.

      @@Alternate000 omg I’ve read other comments of people experiencing it! I switched to Korean skincare a year ago (I used the Cerave before that), and all the formulas are so gentle. I’m noticing that western skincare is harsher on my skin! (I have hyper-sensitive combo skin)

      I know you were asking the derm and not a random in the comments buuuut my scars were stubborn as hell and like nothing worked.
      I tried topicals brightening and clearing serum and it’s the only things that’s made any sort of difference.
      It’s also helping with my ‘freckles’ and melasma stache
