I retired 12/21/2021 @age 47. I love my rest and relaxation anytime I want. I have a military retirement and VA benefits. Health care for life, zero copay. All meds are free.
post hoc ergo proctor hoc fallacy -- correlation does not necessarily mean causation. Maybe staying engaged with work promotes wellness, but maybe only those who are healthy are able to continue part time work.
Yeah, you are a good 12-13 years late on this one. Boomers now only comprise about 14% of the workforce, and the vast majority of them have already retired. Their numbers started falling pretty sharply after GFC, and today they are outnumbered by each Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z in the workforce. When did Gen X start getting weird? There was a documentary film made in 1984 chronicling Gen X children all throughout the country banding together to form religious cults, living primarily in corn fields, and spent their days and nights murder/sacrificing everyone over the age of 18 to their deity. You should watch that documentary; it'll tell you everything you need to know about Gen X. I think you are wrong about Gen X and when they'll retire. I think they'll be retiring on average younger than Boomers. This will be mostly due to two factors. One, we have had one heck of a good run that last 12-13 years, and Gen X since around 2017-2018 became wealthier than Boomers on a median net worth per capita basis at the same ages (first time ever that Gen X was wealthier than the previous generation) as a result. Two, Gen X will be the primary recipient of the Great Wealth transfer, which is now underway. It'll be the first (and probably last) generation that did both, earn it on their own and inherit it. There is a lot of Gen X out there right now that are just itching for the next GFC to happen, so they can slip out the back door never to be heard from again (because anyone that comes looking will be murder/sacrificed to their deity).
I appreciate your detailed perspective on the generational dynamics in the workforce. It’s always enlightening to hear different viewpoints, and your insights definitely add depth to the conversation!

True, however maybe there is an alternative way to work part time. Social Media is the new gateway to opportunity
Thank you for sharing! Interesting video.⭐️
Glad you enjoyed it
I semi retired this summer at 56, best move I've made in a while.
Congrats!!! So happy for you, living the dream!
I call it Entrepreneurment because I wanted to distance myself from the term 'retirement' which has become synonymous with being sent out to pasture.
Powerful message thank you! 🙏
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
