As a severely physically disabled, trans, autistic individual in forced poverty, without community or family, I rely 100% on government programs like SSDI, Medicaid, Section 8, and so on for my survival. Without them I have no money, no healthcare, no food, no housing. I will not survive without the safety net designed to catch people like me. I'm a wheelchair user, I spend most of my life bedbound and writhing in pain. I cannot work. I would love to but I cannot. It's hard to remain hopeful as the Oligarchy takes total control with a large side of Fascism. However, you two do give me some hope and much comfort. I've been voting Blue since 1972 and was a delegate to my County's Democratic organization for many years. However, it seems like every time I get an e-mail from the Democratic Party, they ask for my money. Even their "polls" won't go to completion without a contribution. I'm disabled, on SSI subsistence income and can barely afford the basics, despite my Section 8 and SNAP. For the benefit of those of us who want to remain in the party, despite our impoverished status, they MUST change and become more inclusive. Changing affiliation, for me, is not an option. Neither is voting third party. There must be a way to help out without giving money.
Removing just Medicaid waivers will effect 68 million or more disabled, elderly and poor people who need services from agencies. . Every home care, medical supports, community based service, and all their employees, in many more millions will all be rhrown into wxtreme poverty, homelessness and for many, imminent death. After the election I was despondent, depressed, stunned. On November 6 I received Robert’s email and his words - if you’re grieving or frightened right now, you’re not alone. I cried. I said out loud how about grieving AND frightened. But his message brought me hope and I have so much respect for this caring man. I can’t watch a lot of political channels anymore but I do watch Robert. I appreciate all he is doing for the American people. ❤

I've been voting Blue since 1972 and was a delegate to my County's Democratic organization for many years. However, it seems like every time I get an e-mail from the Democratic Party, they ask for my money. Even their "polls" won't go to completion without a contribution. I'm disabled, on SSI subsistence income and can barely afford the basics, despite my Section 8 and SNAP. For the benefit of those of us who want to remain in the party, despite our impoverished status, they MUST change and become more inclusive. Changing affiliation, for me, is not an option. Neither is voting third party. There must be a way to help out without giving money.

Removing just Medicaid waivers will effect 68 million or more disabled, elderly and poor people who need services from agencies. . Every home care, medical supports, community based service, and all their employees, in many more millions will all be rhrown into wxtreme poverty, homelessness and for many, imminent death. The ramifications are huge and devastating just with ending the waivers. Yalk more about that.

It was a huge blow to my stepfather's ego when my mother got her degree and earned her own money. He lost the thing he could always manipulate her with, and he had to face the fact that he wasn't inherently smarter and more capable than her. He didn't change, or lose his own knowledge or education. He just didn't have someone to always look down on anymore.

If everyone was forced to vote, there would be a few million more Democrats, a few million more Republicans and the rest would throw their ballots away on a third party. How is that going to do anything to change the system? The problem is that people are slaves to the system, that they believe that their vote counts (yes, literally it does, but if the end result is that your "chosen one" doesn't win, you have made no difference). That's the core of the problem, that people look at their candidate as the chosen one, like they should be put in a pedestal for being a politician. All politicians have a politician's ego.
