This song was originally posted on my old RUclips channel on August 24th, 2010! I was 14 when I started writing it and 15 when I released the video (which is why you might hear those numbers thrown around) I don't have any plans to revise or remake this after all these years, but I appreciate everyone's support of my first ever serious attempt at a song!! I wrote a few others before this, but this was the first song I took seriously. The fact that even 12 years later people are still finding it and enjoying it is so surreal. Thank you! 💙

Hahaha... These lyrics are a little nihilistic, I must say. But a fourteen-year-old cannot be spared any innocence in this world, especially nowadays. I doubt that anyone can remain blissfully ignorant of the pain that goes on anymore, even if they're still a young age. It's rather amazing that Circus could make such a beautiful song with the knowledge of hatred, instead of doing something... Else. That's likely why he'll always be my favourite Vocaloid producer, without any exceptions.

I think (though I have some other theory's) this is about social anxiety. by "act" she means going to a social social gathering. the "they all scream at me" is saying how everyone's voices sound amplified, "they cannot see" is about no one realising how stressed she is. it goes one to say that she can't find that one friend she came with who was lowering her anxiety and someone else approaches her seeing her distress but all she can say is that they aren't who she's looking for. she feels like she's acting like a fool and everyone is judging her and it feels like her own nightmare. "those two young lions" are people who she knew but not that well though when she was less stressed they were always fun now they just add to the anxiety, her legs buckle beneath her and she goes into a full on meltdown feeling worse and worse as it continues. also a bit on the picture, the horns show how she feels like she stands out a lot from everyone else.
İt makes sense,but i think there is a little schizophrenia (is it spelled like that) in the mix and the fact that she says "Lying so useless WE start to holler" signaling either there are other people like her in there,or the setting is a little different.What if instead of a social gathering they are at a monthly seminar for people with disorders and the tyrant is the head of the seminar and the person she is talking about is the previous head of the seminar that quit?And "Those two young lions" were her friends that were the only ones left in the seminar that also left after they no longer needed the seminar?

My theory for this song: A deformed girl was wandering the streets, she had been injured by the townsfolk and bleeding. A kind ringmaster found her bleeding on the sidewalk and took her in. The ringmaster stitched up the wounds (on her lower jaw) and left the poor girl to rest. The girl began to sing in her sleep, and the ringmaster realized her potential and invited the girl to join the circus when she awoke. The girl preformed and sang lovely songs for the audience, and began to have feelings towards the ringmaster, and the ringmaster felt the same connection, same desire to be together always. But one day, as the ringmaster was preparing the two lions for their act, they go wild and attack, and the ringmasters final moments were hearing the girl sing and wishing to be with her. One day, a new ringmaster, 'he', joins the circus, but cares only for money and entertaining the audience. He either sells or kills the disobedient lions, and forces the girl to sing through her tears and misery, and screams at her when she does not. The girl cries through her mournful song, as the audience boos the dismaying display.

My interpretation for this song is a tragic love story. Why? Here’s why down here. Having been abandoned by her birth parents due to being born with deformities (hence the horns & fangs), the young girl faces many hardships as she silently endures shunning, ridicule, & cruelty from people. Everyday she slowly loses hope until one day a savior finally comes to her aid. Who is the holy angel? Well, it is none other than a kindly circus trainer, who saw the deformed girl sitting on the desolate streets alone, starving & shivering like a leaf from the bitter winter cold . Genuinely concerned for her well being, he offers the lass some hot baguette bread & cheese then asks her, “Would you like to come with me to my circus?” As he offers a gloved hand to the deformed girl. From that day on things changed as the deformed lass began to travel with the kindly circus trainer & his circus troupe around the world, performing for the good people, along with slowly having a place that she could call her true home. All was good, that is, until one tragic day the trainer suddenly passed away from an incurable illness that he was diagnosed with a long time ago, leaving his circus troupe in mourning... Time passed like normal until one day a new circus trainer came along, but instead of treating the circus troupe with care & kindness, this man was nothing but corrupt, abusive (physically, verbally, emotionally & psychologically) & overall obsessed with money. Due to these horrid traits the trainer treated the troupe with immense cruelty & only used them for financial gain. Unable to endure the abuse any longer, along with clinging to hope that her kindly trainer will return, the deformed girl slowly dies for she can only pray that she can join her former trainer, even in death....
My personal theory about this song is that it's about an elephant. Hear me out now. For centuries, elephants have been part of circus acts. This particular elephant had a trainer that she loved very much, and who loved her back. One day, before her act, the trainer went to go check on two lions the circus also owned. 2:29 to 2:45 are sung from the trainer's POV as she is mauled by the lions, still thinking about her beloved elephant as she dies. The lions are put down by the circus or animal control. The elephant does not know this, and starts believe that her trainer abandoned her. Shortly after the first trainer dies, a new trainer is brought in by the circus. He doesn't care about the animals, and is very cruel and unkind to them, seeing them as "worthless monsters" and tools to make money. The elephant becomes increasingly depressed as the song goes on and she starts to become more and more convinced she was abandoned and the new trainer gets more and more abusive. It's not much of a stretch really, back when this song was made I remember hearing a lot about abuses of elephants in circuses, so maybe the creator based the song on those stories.
I think it's about the girl in the video. She has a job in the Circus, and she also has a crush. One day though, her crush doesn't appear and a new guy comes. She can tell something's wrong with him, something dark. The problem is that her and her crush both played a singing job. She doesn't know what to do without him, so she falls down on her knees. The people boo and scream at her madly, while the new guy watches her. Soon, after that's over she goes home and gets a call. It's from her crush. He says the new guy was at his house, this is at 2:17 . She is confused, however doesn't ask anymore. However soon the new guy becomes the boss somehow, and then starts abusing her. Her crush was also killed a few days ago by someone, and she keeps seeing his ghost everywhere. Soon, the boss orders her to do the lion job. The lions go crazy though, and it's clear that he abused them as well. The lions start to kill her, all while she's wondering where her crush went. She is murdered by the lions soon, but all she can hear are the people's screams and ''HEY! GET UP YOU WORTHLESS CIRCUS MONSTER!'' That was a cruel name the people had given her because she couldn't do her job without her crush.
Actually, this is a pretty good theory/story behind the song. I believe (my personal story) that Vocaloids' were forced into the circus, where they must sing for their audience for as long as they live. Luka was partnered with another Vocaloid (Who I assume to be Gumi, Meiko, or Miku.) and fell in love with them. They are later killed or they escaped the circus. Luka soon becomes worried about her partner and turns to think she was left or abandoned by her. She is then introduced to a new partner who doesn't care about her, but would rather rise to fame and get riches, whether Luka is in on it or not. Slowly, Luka is overcome by depression and begins loses her ability to sing and perform for the crowd, who scream out at her *'Get up, you worthless Circus Monster!'* (She'd be useless, since a vocaloid's purpose is to sing, as stated in "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku") She slowly develops a hate or resentment toward the people of the crowd. The new, tyrant like partner, thinks that Luka is ugly/unpleasant to the crowd, so 'he' hides her away behind the curtain during performances. (To explain the 'I never see them, I despise them' part. Also, the picture could be of Luka sitting behind the curtain.) As a few other's have said, I believe the 'young lions' are Rin and Len, who were replaced/killed/escaped with Luka's old partner. They are replaced by new Vocaloids who poke fun and degrade Luka. One of the times that she is being picked on (right before her performance) by the new 'Lions' of the circus, she falls down and starts going unconscious. The new partner is angered by the fact Luka is not singing with him, and helping him with his money/fame, so he calls her a 'worthless circus monster' and the crowd later joins in.

When I listen to this it saddens me. It happens in the real world all the time. Worthless, a word used against many myself included. To be honest my own past has connections to this song. My two best friends were moved far from me. One of my friends tries to help but when she can't she "leaves me all alone" Bullied and called worthless. I try to speak but I'm stopped and even if I did no one listened. This song is a tale of many monsters but a tale of many more innocent people that are tagged as the monster

my theory: if you don't know by now if a vocaloid becomes unpopular, hated or ignored the vocaloid has a chance to be replaced by another. I think this is what this song is about. She lost one of her friends by them being replaced with another, however, Luka was not aware therefore looking for him. Soon a new vocaloid comes along and 'he' tries to make a good impression so he can become popular in the vocaloid community. eventually Luka grows worried but that gets I the way of her singing and Len and Rin become replaced by another but try to make Luka replaced and fail. Gumi\Miku (idk who it was) comes in and replaces Luka, after Luka tries her best to stay, she fails and becomes replaced. we haven't seen English Luka since. (wow this was a long one)

It's sad that people think this is a FNAF Sister Location song, even though Sister location came out in 2016/2017 and Circus Monster was uploaded in 2012.
Mandy Moo well no, it’s not. People just use it because they feel it relates to Sister Location in some way. Especially since Sister Location is basically based with Circus-like Characters and the story line of Sister Location somehow relates to this song in someway, I don’t know. I never played Sister Location or got into Fnaf very much lol

I'm pretty sure people would know this info because this song was pretty popular way back when and still now in a way, and they just use it to be Sister Location like cause of the story line in it, and the lyrics here just give them SL vibes. Luka is one of the songstresses, but because of her most recent "Failed Rebirth," (She is constantly being born/reborn over and over and over) She has to be be blindfolded. Not only does she have the cursed horns, because her vision is also terrible. Her Father believes that by doing this it will "Rest Up" her eyes, so that in a dire situation, she will be able to harness the energy and see again. The songstresses are considered of great value. They aren't allowed to speak with anyone other then their fellow performers. One of these performers is Gumi, the Lion Tamer. Along with her beloved Lions*, Rin and Len. Gumi is Luka's "Right Hand." Each songstress is assigned one "Right Hand." Gumi was a former songstress. While she was almost done with her time, Luka was just starting. Gumi is one of the oldest performers in the Circus, she is also one of the few songstresses to complete her "Rebirthing" process and was granted immortality*. And the chance to leave the circus. However she decided to stay, and become Luka's "Right Hand" by choice. She had gotten acquainted with her back when they were both songstresses, and couldn't bare to leave her. In the Circus Monster song itself... Luka is mourning Gumi (First Verse-Second Verse) The reckless crowd at the circus is randomly singing about Luka's Life(Chorus) Luka's still morning Gumi (Third Verse) Gumi is explaining how her dear Lions turned on her and ate her face (Fourth Verse) The Crowd repeats itself (Chorus) Gumi shows that she is still with Luka, singing along in the song. This song is so powerful, I do almost cry everytime after hearing it, but the funny thing is, I don't 100% know/get the meaning behind the lyrics. It's that powerful I want to cry without knowing exactly what it's about. I think I can solve this depressing mystery. I’ll start off with Luka’s song “Lie” It seems that Luka realized during a fake relationship with Gumi (Because of a dare by a friend or whatever) Gumi appeared to have strong feelings towards Luka, and Luka likes her back, but thing is, Luka is afraid of becoming a real intimate relationship with Gumi because she knows society will judge her with being a lesbian. So she decides to convince herself that she doesn’t have a crush on Gumi and force herself to like either Kaito or Gakupo. So she’s technically “Lying” to Gumi, Kaito or Gakupo, and herself. Onto the song “Love” by Gumi. This song explains that Gumi is aware of Luka’s lying and she’s trying not to let her lie to everyone. Gumi seems to really need Luka in her life so she can be happy. But Luka’s in a “relationship” with one of the past men I’ve already mentioned. And it drives Gumi insane. And the song above, “Circus Monster” by Luka. After all those months of Gumi being heart-broken by Luka, she reaches her breaking point and commits suicide. First she’s unaware of why Gumi ended her life but breaks up with you-know-who, after Gumi’s suicide, Rin and Len assumed it was Luka’s fault then thought less of her and they decided not to be friends with her, and her ex (“He”) tries to win her back. Later on, Luka realizes that she’s responsible of Gumi’s death. She defined herself as a monster.
I'm late but, adding on, there's the song 1/4 sung by Kaito, based after Luka breaks up with him. Kaito sings about how he actually loves Luka truly, but she merely used him as a tool for her status. When Luka sings "He is a tyrant, it lets out a plea", she is singing about Kaito, but what she means is that Kaito is not violently or sexually abusing her, but in fact seems like a tyrant because he wants her to love him back despite the fact that she knows she can't (like from the lines in 1/4, "Are you not feeling this, feeling this, feeling the same?") Also, Luka from Circus Monster (with her horns) made a cameo in the song "The Start" sung by Meiko, along with a cameo of Miku from the song "Goodbye", so we the Circus-P fans are trying to figure out if Goodbye and The Start are related to this series (Lie, I (Love), Circus Monster and 1/4)

I think Luka KNOWS she's just a robot made for singing, that for us, she's nothing, by he, he means her master, she considers herself a "Circus monster", and by "You", she was talking about Miku, and the lions were the Kagamine brothers, just a theory.
It's about Gumi. She hid her feelings for gumi/left her to be with kaito knowing that she doesnt love kaito the same and now the lions, len andRin, mock her and are mad at her for hiding her true self / feelings. She wants to see gumi but by the time she wants to, gumi is filled with anger / heartache. "He" is kaito, he is in love with her even tho he knows luka does not.

I really really hope CircusP releases a new version of this on the 10 year anniversary, I'm sure it would be so cool to see the improvements in both his production and tuning, and using Luka's 2015 english VB
My interpretation is that the singer is a young child being bullied. The term "Circus Monster" refers to her feeling like a freak and an outcast. The "show" is life and the "act" is her getting emotionally and physically abused by the bullies. The "curtain" is a front she's created in an attempt to seem strong and brave. The girl who "was amazing", is "not here", and "left it alone" is a girl who managed to hold off the bullies, but she had to leave for some reason, and when she left the bullies came back. The ringleader of the circus represents the leader of the bullies. The lions represent either her old friends who abandoned her for fear of being bullied themselves, and then turn on her to "fit in". "Singing" is really crying. The line "he wants me to sing, I just cannot bring, I say 'he's not you', what else can I do" shows the bully wants her to cry, but she's trying to remain strong. She thinks she can only let "her" know of her pain, but her misery brings her to cry in front of him anyway. However you interpret it, this song is deep as all hell.
I can’t get enough of your music, it’s honestly brilliant! Each song makes you think really deeply about the true meaning, and there are plenty of things you can infer from the lyrics. Plus every song is so catchy that I often find myself running through the lyrics in my head without even realising. Keep up the brilliant work :)
I think I love,Lie,And Circus Monster are all tied together. Gumi and luka were best friends who decided it would be fun to date to try and see if they could actually do something, along the way they started to gain feelings, Luka was scared and dumped Gumi and started dating Kaito to try and erase feelings, Gumi knowing that she was in love with Luka and knowing she wasn't happy made the song I (love) dedicated to Luka, Luka who was still in denial made the song Lie dedicated to Gumi, she was coming to the conclusion that she was in love with Gumi. After Gumi found it pointless and her only reason to living was Luka she killed herself. Luka did not know she killed herself so she made the song Circus Monster "you" was Gumi and Kaito was "he", in the end she finds out Gumi kills herself because of the twins (I think Ren and Len) who were metophored as lions and she ends up falling into a deep depression and killing herself too which is in (I think) this song.That's the theory.Unless another song was made that could be possibly tied to this (if not already) then this is what I have concluded. Anyone agree?
And then at 3:13 I’m pretty sure that’s Gumi, or at least a memory of her from Luka’s mind. In this song Luka says I can still hear “you” singing, referring to Gumi, and Gumi’s voice is faintly singing. I completely agree with this theory

I think (though I have some other theory's) this is about social anxiety. by "act" she means going to a social social gathering. the "they all scream at me" is saying how everyone's voices sound amplified, "they cannot see" is about no one realising how stressed she is. it goes one to say that she can't find that one friend she came with who was lowering her anxiety and someone else approaches her seeing her distress but all she can say is that they aren't who she's looking for. she feels like she's acting like a fool and everyone is judging her and it feels like her own nightmare. "those two young lions" are people who she knew but not that well though when she was less stressed they were always fun now they just add to the anxiety, her legs buckle beneath her and she goes into a full on meltdown feeling worse and worse as it continues. also a bit on the picture, the horns show how she feels like she stands out a lot from everyone else.

My theory for this song: A deformed girl was wandering the streets, she had been injured by the townsfolk and bleeding. A kind ringmaster found her bleeding on the sidewalk and took her in. The ringmaster stitched up the wounds (on her lower jaw) and left the poor girl to rest. The girl began to sing in her sleep, and the ringmaster realized her potential and invited the girl to join the circus when she awoke. The girl preformed and sang lovely songs for the audience, and began to have feelings towards the ringmaster, and the ringmaster felt the same connection, same desire to be together always. But one day, as the ringmaster was preparing the two lions for their act, they go wild and attack, and the ringmasters final moments were hearing the girl sing and wishing to be with her. One day, a new ringmaster, 'he', joins the circus, but cares only for money and entertaining the audience. He either sells or kills the disobedient lions, and forces the girl to sing through her tears and misery, and screams at her when she does not. The girl cries through her mournful song, as the audience boos the dismaying display.

My interpretation of the story.
"Lie" was about how Luka did love Gumi but wasn't ready to say she was lesbian. But unlike Gumi she was ready to admit it "I(Love)" . Gumi loves Luka deeply but knows she won't admit to it. Luka starts dating a guy who abuses her in many ways "Circus Monster" and she starts to realize she did love Gumi. But Gumi had already committed suicide before Luka finds out. So Luka tries to figure out why she doesn't see Gumi anymore and that's why she says "why are you not here?" And "I want to see you I need to see you" (in "Circus Monster") because she wanted to see Gumi. But she was already gone. Which is what makes the depressing story.

My interpretation for this song is a tragic love story. Why? Here’s why down here.
Having been abandoned by her birth parents due to being born with deformities (hence the horns & fangs), the young girl faces many hardships as she silently endures shunning, ridicule, & cruelty from people. Everyday she slowly loses hope until one day a savior finally comes to her aid. Who is the holy angel?
Well, it is none other than a kindly circus trainer, who saw the deformed girl sitting on the desolate streets alone, starving & shivering like a leaf from the bitter winter cold . Genuinely concerned for her well being, he offers the lass some hot baguette bread & cheese then asks her, “Would you like to come with me to my circus?” As he offers a gloved hand to the deformed girl.
From that day on things changed as the deformed lass began to travel with the kindly circus trainer & his circus troupe around the world, performing for the good people, along with slowly having a place that she could call her true home. All was good, that is, until one tragic day the trainer suddenly passed away from an incurable illness that he was diagnosed with a long time ago, leaving his circus troupe in mourning...
Time passed like normal until one day a new circus trainer came along, but instead of treating the circus troupe with care & kindness, this man was nothing but corrupt, abusive (physically, verbally, emotionally & psychologically) & overall obsessed with money. Due to these horrid traits the trainer treated the troupe with immense cruelty & only used them for financial gain.
Unable to endure the abuse any longer, along with clinging to hope that her kindly trainer will return, the deformed girl slowly dies for she can only pray that she can join her former trainer, even in death....

My personal theory about this song is that it's about an elephant. Hear me out now. For centuries, elephants have been part of circus acts. This particular elephant had a trainer that she loved very much, and who loved her back. One day, before her act, the trainer went to go check on two lions the circus also owned. 2:29 to 2:45 are sung from the trainer's POV as she is mauled by the lions, still thinking about her beloved elephant as she dies. The lions are put down by the circus or animal control. The elephant does not know this, and starts believe that her trainer abandoned her. Shortly after the first trainer dies, a new trainer is brought in by the circus. He doesn't care about the animals, and is very cruel and unkind to them, seeing them as "worthless monsters" and tools to make money. The elephant becomes increasingly depressed as the song goes on and she starts to become more and more convinced she was abandoned and the new trainer gets more and more abusive. It's not much of a stretch really, back when this song was made I remember hearing a lot about abuses of elephants in circuses, so maybe the creator based the song on those stories.
I think it's about the girl in the video. She has a job in the Circus, and she also has a crush. One day though, her crush doesn't appear and a new guy comes. She can tell something's wrong with him, something dark. The problem is that her and her crush both played a singing job. She doesn't know what to do without him, so she falls down on her knees. The people boo and scream at her madly, while the new guy watches her. Soon, after that's over she goes home and gets a call. It's from her crush. He says the new guy was at his house, this is at 2:17 . She is confused, however doesn't ask anymore. However soon the new guy becomes the boss somehow, and then starts abusing her. Her crush was also killed a few days ago by someone, and she keeps seeing his ghost everywhere. Soon, the boss orders her to do the lion job. The lions go crazy though, and it's clear that he abused them as well. The lions start to kill her, all while she's wondering where her crush went. She is murdered by the lions soon, but all she can hear are the people's screams and ''HEY! GET UP YOU WORTHLESS CIRCUS MONSTER!'' That was a cruel name the people had given her because she couldn't do her job without her crush.

Actually, this is a pretty good theory/story behind the song. I believe (my personal story) that Vocaloids' were forced into the circus, where they must sing for their audience for as long as they live. Luka was partnered with another Vocaloid (Who I assume to be Gumi, Meiko, or Miku.) and fell in love with them. They are later killed or they escaped the circus. Luka soon becomes worried about her partner and turns to think she was left or abandoned by her. She is then introduced to a new partner who doesn't care about her, but would rather rise to fame and get riches, whether Luka is in on it or not. Slowly, Luka is overcome by depression and begins loses her ability to sing and perform for the crowd, who scream out at her *'Get up, you worthless Circus Monster!'* (She'd be useless, since a vocaloid's purpose is to sing, as stated in "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku") She slowly develops a hate or resentment toward the people of the crowd. The new, tyrant like partner, thinks that Luka is ugly/unpleasant to the crowd, so 'he' hides her away behind the curtain during performances. (To explain the 'I never see them, I despise them' part. Also, the picture could be of Luka sitting behind the curtain.) As a few other's have said, I believe the 'young lions' are Rin and Len, who were replaced/killed/escaped with Luka's old partner. They are replaced by new Vocaloids who poke fun and degrade Luka. One of the times that she is being picked on (right before her performance) by the new 'Lions' of the circus, she falls down and starts going unconscious. The new partner is angered by the fact Luka is not singing with him, and helping him with his money/fame, so he calls her a 'worthless circus monster' and the crowd later joins in.

my theory: if you don't know by now if a vocaloid becomes unpopular, hated or ignored the vocaloid has a chance to be replaced by another. I think this is what this song is about. She lost one of her friends by them being replaced with another, however, Luka was not aware therefore looking for him. Soon a new vocaloid comes along and 'he' tries to make a good impression so he can become popular in the vocaloid community. eventually Luka grows worried but that gets I the way of her singing and Len and Rin become replaced by another but try to make Luka replaced and fail. It's sad that people think this is a FNAF Sister Location song, even though Sister location came out in 2016/2017 and Circus Monster was uploaded in 2012.
Mandy Moo well no, it’s not. People just use it because they feel it relates to Sister Location in some way. Especially since Sister Location is basically based with Circus-like Characters and the story line of Sister Location somehow relates to this song in someway, I don’t know. Not only does she have the cursed horns, because her vision is also terrible. Her Father believes that by doing this it will "Rest Up" her eyes, so that in a dire situation, she will be able to harness the energy and see again.
The songstresses are considered of great value. They aren't allowed to speak with anyone other then their fellow performers.
One of these performers is Gumi, the Lion Tamer. Along with her beloved Lions*, Rin and Len.
Gumi is Luka's "Right Hand." Each songstress is assigned one "Right Hand."
Gumi was a former songstress. While she was almost done with her time, Luka was just starting. Gumi is one of the oldest performers in the Circus, she is also one of the few songstresses to complete her "Rebirthing" process and was granted immortality*. And the chance to leave the circus.

I think I can solve this depressing mystery.
I’ll start off with Luka’s song “Lie” It seems that Luka realized during a fake relationship with Gumi (Because of a dare by a friend or whatever) Gumi appeared to have strong feelings towards Luka, and Luka likes her back, but thing is, Luka is afraid of becoming a real intimate relationship with Gumi because she knows society will judge her with being a lesbian. So she decides to convince herself that she doesn’t have a crush on Gumi and force herself to like either Kaito or Gakupo. So she’s technically “Lying” to Gumi, Kaito or Gakupo, and herself.
Onto the song “Love” by Gumi. This song explains that Gumi is aware of Luka’s lying and she’s trying not to let her lie to everyone. Gumi seems to really need Luka in her life so she can be happy. But Luka’s in a “relationship” with one of the past men I’ve already mentioned. And it drives Gumi insane.
And the song above, “Circus Monster” by Luka. After all those months of Gumi being heart-broken by Luka, she reaches her breaking point and commits suicide. First she’s unaware of why Gumi ended her life but breaks up with you-know-who, after Gumi’s suicide, Rin and Len assumed it was Luka’s fault then thought less of her and they decided not to be friends with her, and her ex (“He”) tries to win her back. Later on, Luka realizes that she’s responsible of Gumi’s death. She defined herself as a monster.

I'm late but, adding on, there's the song 1/4 sung by Kaito, based after Luka breaks up with him. Kaito sings about how he actually loves Luka truly, but she merely used him as a tool for her status. When Luka sings "He is a tyrant, it lets out a plea", she is singing about Kaito, but what she means is that Kaito is not violently or sexually abusing her, but in fact seems like a tyrant because he wants her to love him back despite the fact that she knows she can't (like from the lines in 1/4, "Are you not feeling this, feeling this, feeling the same?")
Also, Luka from Circus Monster (with her horns) made a cameo in the song "The Start" sung by Meiko, along with a cameo of Miku from the song "Goodbye", so we the Circus-P fans are trying to figure out if Goodbye and The Start are related to this series (Lie, I (Love), Circus Monster and 1/4)

Ok, I get that in a literal sense people are saying that the trainer was there for Luka and that he/she just died from something...

My interpretation is that the singer is a young child being bullied.
The term "Circus Monster" refers to her feeling like a freak and an outcast.
The "show" is life and the "act" is her getting emotionally and physically abused by the bullies.
The "curtain" is a front she's created in an attempt to seem strong and brave.
The girl who "was amazing", is "not here", and "left it alone" is a girl who managed to hold off the bullies, but she had to leave for some reason, and when she left the bullies came back.
The ringleader of the circus represents the leader of the bullies.
The lions represent either her old friends who abandoned her for fear of being bullied themselves, and then turn on her to "fit in".
"Singing" is really crying. The line "he wants me to sing, I just cannot bring, I say 'he's not you', what else can I do" shows the bully wants her to cry, but she's trying to remain strong. She thinks she can only let "her" know of her pain, but her misery brings her to cry in front of him anyway.

Gumi and luka were best friends who decided it would be fun to date to try and see if they could actually do something, along the way they started to gain feelings, Luka was scared and dumped Gumi and started dating Kaito to try and erase feelings, Gumi knowing that she was in love with Luka and knowing she wasn't happy made the song I (love) dedicated to Luka, Luka who was still in denial made the song Lie dedicated to Gumi, she was coming to the conclusion that she was in love with Gumi. After Gumi found it pointless and her only reason to living was Luka she killed herself. Luka did not know she killed herself so she made the song Circus Monster "you" was Gumi and Kaito was "he", in the end she finds out Gumi kills herself because of the twins (I think Ren and Len) who were metophored as lions and she ends up falling into a deep depression and killing herself too which is in (I think) this song.That's the theory.Unless another song was made that could be possibly tied to this (if not already) then this is what I have concluded.

I can sing like 2 verses with out breathing. (I like to add deep or shallow breaths in the verses though to add more sad affect) this is WAY to easy to sing. now if we were to look at one of -MASA Work Designs- songs or The Disappearance Of Hatsune Miku... yeah that's understandable
I can do the whole song like that, but i usually run out of breath at the end of the chorus. I have to breath in at "hey get up you worthless circus monster" and at the end i take a deep breath and i run out of breath at the end again.
