It's horrible how atheistic cult leaders get some people to become unwilling to undertaker God as true.
The rejection of God leads to not only a horrific existence for these atheists but the destruction of the country that they're in. Like the atheist humanist cult members pushing the satanic rituals mutilating and cross-dressing children.

Good comment: Spontaniously he might come out as sympathetic but (as you pinpoint) there's a two-faced approach against atheism where he agrees and reaches for sympathies but as the discussion progresses tries to pinpoint logical errors (acc. to him) in the atheist position.

@@MeTooAshleyBiden-xi7ru I think you're projecting the trademark theist mindset of believing in one thing regardless of coming across evidence that contradicts that belief.
Most of the atheists I talk to, including myself, are completely open to believing in any and all gods as long as there is verifiable, reasonable and repeatable evidence that backs it up. I mean, I don't know about you but the fact of having an eternal, omnipotent entity that took the time out of it's day to create me and also loves me unconditionally and would want me to have a happy and fulfilling life...that sounds absolutely amazing and I'm pretty sure most people would be on board with that.
The problem with that idea is if its actually true, and as I'm sure you are aware, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
If I'm going to subscribe to that idea, upend everything I've known for years including rational thought...I'm going to make damn sure that what I'm getting into is absolutely correct and I will not leave any stone unturned. When I do that, I usually end up making the same conclusion with every religion, that it is an appeal to our emotions and deepest desires while abandoning reality.
The only thing all atheists have in common is we don't believe there is a god. That could be literally all we agree on, there is no belief system.
The only thing all theists have in common is that they think they have a creator despite most theists belonging to one of the many tribal group religions.

I did not suffer anything negative that made me an atheist. I grew up in a very religious family, and I was trending towards being a religious fanatic. If monks had got hold of me, I am sure that today I would be in a monastery praying my ass off. But I spent over four decades talking to clergy of all religions, read the bible thoroughly, did a heck of a lot of investigating and eventually realized I had nothing to latch onto, and eventually was forced to realize I was an atheist.
So this person who suggest that atheists had a negative experience from religion is full of bullcrap and reveals ignorance from living in an echo chamber.
I grew up in a religious family and felt a sense of rejection if I didn't believe so I was afraid to tell them. Religion is about submitting to a "tribal" group which uses social pressure to get conformity. This preacher is deluding himself when he thinks his personal experience of committing to the group identity is somehow special and not a religion.

It’s amazing to me how people can believe these religious stories that play over and over in their imaginations.
It’s mental illness. How do they function in the real world?
The depth of their delusions and the grip it has on their mind is terrifying.

I grow up in a family that didn't practise any religion. I don't believe in any god because I haven't see sufficient evidence. I'm an 'anti-theist' because, for me, I have seen sufficient evidence to draw a conclusion that there is no god.
Mark is the sort of believer that I could actually enjoy yakking with for a while. He lost me for a few seconds when he mentioned 'choose to believe'. I can't recall one instance in my 78 years that I chose to believe ANYthing. My own experience was being raised in an Evangelical environment. From about 8 years old, I KNEW I was doomed to eternal torture because of the crush I had on a boy in my class. The anxiety attacks began right about then. S**cidal ideation hung over me well into my early 30s, even though I was born again, again, out of that lunacy in my late teens.
My little brother used to get off on debating my dad's pastor. One exchange went something like this:
Bro: What about the millions (billions, since the dawn of humanity) that have never, and will never hear your 'gospel'?
Preachboi: They are not damned, since they haven't been given the word on Earth.
Bro: Then WHY in HELL are you sending missionaries to preach this stuff to them?
I was so proud of my little bro.

So why are there so many atheists in western civilization that believe in faith that somebody can be born with a brain of a different gender in their body. They believe it's so much in faith that they would mutilate and crossdress their children.. if it's not because they chose to believe this in faith is there such a huge representation for atheist believing in transgenderism more than any other group.
Why is it so many atheist compared to the rest of society believe in faith that their ancestors were sea creatures. and that we have different races of people because of environmental reasons like weather diet and natural selection. Even when you explain to them a more logical explanation to why we have different races and it seems like they understand it's a more logical explanation they still ignore it and choose to believe that we have different races because of environmental reasons like weather diet and natural selection.
Atheist Communists are always claiming that almost everything we do and say is a result of culture with the exception of course of homosexuality and transgenderism certainly choose transgenderism . There's no physical evidence somebody being born homosexual and or transgender but there is proof that people choose to be homosexual end transgender because of cultural reasons.
Atheism itself is a disbelief which means it's an unwillingness or ability to accept God. So if somebody is unwilling to accept God they're choosing not to believe in God it's a conscious effort not to believe in God
As far as your little bro, the Bible shows us that even those who don't hear the gospel are held responsible because God gives everybody the ability to choose good and evil.

Ministers are nearly always completely disingenuous with their approach. They present themselves as curious or trying to understand yet it’s clear they have zero interest in genuinely listening. Instead they desire to speak at people and then attempt covert them.

New research shows a stunning lack of basic biblical beliefs among Christian pastors across all U.S. denominations, according to veteran researcher George Barna and the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University.
An earlier report from the American Worldview Inventory 2022 showed that just 37% of Christian pastors have a biblical worldview, with the predominant worldview among pastors (62%) being syncretism, a hybrid mixture of disparate worldview elements blended into a customized philosophy of life.
According to this latest report, the widespread absence of biblical worldview among American pastors is resulting in eroding beliefs in areas as basic as salvation through Jesus Christ, the nature of God, the sinful condition of human beings, and the existence of objective truth.
As Barna notes, “Our survey demonstrates that large numbers of pastors have abandoned even the most basic and hallowed biblical teachings for ideas that now permeate our culture.”
And this has enormous negative consequences for American Christianity, according to Barna. “Because pastors teach what they believe, many churches are becoming centers of syncretism and secular thought,” he said. “Perhaps without even realizing it, thousands of pastors have become leaders of a movement away from God.”
“With so many churches and their pastors in the culture’s grip, rather than fervently committed to serving God and teaching His word,” Barna explained, “you can clearly see why most church-going Christians are being more influenced by the culture than the culture is being influenced by America’s Christians.”

The Clergy Letter Project is a project that maintains statements in support of the teaching of evolution and collects signatures in support of letters from American Christian, Jewish, Unitarian Universalist, Buddhist, and Humanist clergy. The letters make reference to points raised by intelligent design proponents. There are five separate letters: A Christian Clergy Letter, a Rabbi Letter, a Unitarian Universalist Clergy Letter, a Buddhist Clergy Letter, and a Humanist Clergy Letter. As of October, 2022, there were 15,679 signatures from Christian clergy, 839 signatures from Jewish rabbis, 688 signatures from Unitarian Universalist clergy, 75 signatures from Buddhist clergy, and 58 signatures from Humanist clergy.
The Clergy Letter Project states that Religion and Science Weekend activities are "an opportunity for serious discussion and reflection on the relationship between religion and science" and in an effort "to elevate the quality of the discussion on this critical topic, and to show that religion and science are not adversaries." The project states that events are specifically intended to emphasize that "Religious people from many diverse faith traditions and locations around the world understand that evolution is quite simply sound science; and for them, it does not in any way threaten, demean, or diminish their faith in God. In fact, for many, the wonders of science often enhance and deepen their awe and gratitude towards God."
It's hard to convince someone of the truth when their income depends on not accepting it.

As an atheist, my « agenda » is to believe more true things than false things…so I examine claims..all claims..and look for credible evidence and apply the same standard to all claims., whatever they may be.
I'm not saying I don't believe you but I've heard a lot of atheists say the same thing until I found out the things they actually believe.
If you don't mind can you use a rational definition to define a man.
Do you believe that your ancestors were sea creatures that walked on water.

I'm guessing you're trying to talk about different animals ans not specifically races, but if you look on google at evidences for evolution, you'll see it makes sense we consider this theory to be true. And also, if god made the earth for humans, why did he also bother to make turkeys or platypus and so many different animals, with also many different types of monkeys, felines,... that are all kinda looking similar but different ? Evolution explains it with a "recent" common ancester (much more recent than for animals that looks completely different, but still pretty old), while i'm pretty sure god never explained why he bother doing that (having so many different animals, with many different types of monkeys, dogs, cat or felines in general) in the bible but tell me if i'm wrong

For that too i'm still unsure what you're asking me to say... Is it asking me to explain why we don't look all the same ? Why americans looks different than africans or indians ?

The thing is, science isn't that. People give theories to explain stuff and give predictions to test those theories, and if we have enough evidence (and that the predictions made by that theory works) then it's now part of science until we have an even better theory that explains it better than the old one and give predictions the old theory didn't. And i'm almost sure that it's the case for what our ancesters were. So when you ask things about science, you should almost never ask someone what they think but rather what's the knowledge we have about that topic. Science isn't based on opinions, it's based around facts we can observe and then inducing general rules when we can find them, and most importantly : trying to find counter-examples to disprove those theories to make a better theory that could also explain those counter-examples
I would like to make a suggestion, that instead of referring to the brain washing children, as indoctrination, that you should address it in terms the religious seem to wish to avoid, and call it what it is,grooming.
These days “grooming” usually has a very specific, sexual, and criminal implication. Or if you really want to use it in the broader sense, then it’s not actually a bad thing because you can “groom” someone for good things, like a company grooming an employee for a big promotion.

It depends on what you mean by grooming but if you mean a parent is preparing their child to live a morally just life there's nothing wrong with that. If you're talking about grooming children in the atheistic way where they sexualize children and do things like crossdress little boys there is something wrong with that.
If you're pushing books on 5-year-olds in the public schools like the joy of fellatio between two homosexual men you're grooming them into sexual perversion and that's not a good moral thing to do.
My atheist agenda: achieving peace from god-botherers and feeling secure in the continuance of my and others' civil rights.

I noted that the hosts called Mark out for his ad-polulum argument, and he immediately switched to “ah but not everyone who says that are a Christian…” so a No True Scotsman was almost smuggled in there as well.
It's just as bad as the argument from authority fallacy. I've been accused many times as not being a true Christian simply because I want to hear from an actual atheist myself their point of view, without judgment or condemnation. I fail to understand why I'm expected to wish bad things for someone who does not share my belief.
I cant wait for the future atheist experience episodes arguing with potterheads that voldemorts not real.

So true. And I like the double quotes around the word proof. Proof is something that definitively shows to others that a claim is true or false. If a "proof" shows the veracity of a claim only to oneself, it's not proof.

The caller knows for a fact he can’t demonstrate his god so he has to attack the only group of people who call it out. If that wasn’t the case he’d just prove his god exists.

And the 'agenda' thing is just a one time language thing. He never really pushes it, and is overall just a bit unsure of what specific words to use to communicate, agenda being one of his less successful attempts.

Mark is trying to understand how to argue with atheists but like he said, his belief is an emotional thing (it's a relationship). What he doesn't understand is that it affects how you see things.
One channel I watch is called Mindshift and I think that's a great word to describe it. Losing my religion didn't improve my situation in life at all but it allowed me to understand so much about what I was exposed to and what I should have done differently.
Since religions are starting to get a bad name, many Christians are pretending their personal god belief is something other than a religion. Just another convoluted Christian delusion.

Like everyone else, I was born an atheist. My family wasn’t particularly religious but my parents sent me to the Presbyterian Church to receive my indoctrination at age seven or so. I remember sitting on the floor, in the basement with other children. A man was showing us pictures of men in turbans and telling us about Jesus. My seven year old mind told me what bullshit it was. After that, when they took me, I would sneak out the door and sit on a rock wall near the church. As winter approached, I started hiding my shoes on Sunday mornings. That eventually was successful and my parents were cool with my decision.
I had many wonderful experiences while I was a believer.. but the underlying result of taking xtianity seriously is very, very negative, I can attest..

I think that what Mark means when he says "it would be impossible for me to deny the existence of god" is "it would be impossible for me to overcome the fear of denying the existence of god".
If it were true, and it was a relationship...you could show it. That means what you have is not a relationship. What bugs me is that God and/or Jesus is perfect. Something in me says that if something is perfect then it couldn't be anything other than identical in every respect. Uniquely perfect, as it were. Up until about 5 minutes this was actually an interesting conversation. But then she went into the "Why do we care what the gospel tells" and then the flowchart begins. The cave scene represents Luke's exorcism, facing his trauma and his very essence, and learning the truth about himself: that he's the son of a monster. It's akin to learning your father was a p*e*d*o or something equally horrific. He faced trauma and overcome it in that scene. He accepted his reality. He became emotionally mature. He became an adult.
Luke's refusal to strike his father down and further abuse an abuse victim (Vader) is how an emotionally mature person helps a family member struggling with m*e*n*t*a*l illness.
This is how we should treat our m*e*n*t*a*l*l*y ill, with compassion and understanding, never more abuse. But instead, we punish severe abuse victims further, traumatizing them again by putting them in a prison. And we wonder why they reoffend. It's barbaric.

In the past I made a serious attempt to figure out why he so blatantly lies about atheists. And ultimately, he admitted that because he thinks the atheists are being "irrational" in not believing God. So for him, it's ok to lie and say that they believe in other irrational things. He REALLY doesn't care that he's lying, and he KNOWS he's lying.
