I used to struggle to pray for just a few minutes, now I can't imagine living a life without Him. To me, not praying is like not breathing. Praying is as necessary as breathing in our walk with God.
I realized the Lord's prayer helps too it's like an outline of what you can say and just put it in your own words ❤ I love prayer ! It gives me a reason to vent without an option response... That usually comes with ppl .... Also it's good to vent to God give it to God before even doing the thing or talking to someone about it first. ❤❤❤❤❤ His videos are always on point!
If we ask, the Father will teach us how and when to pray. For me, having been a substance abuser, and all the negative things that go with that lifestyle, my first prayers were thanksgiving. When I saw the police, I would thank God for no negative encounters with law enforcement that day, a day without tremors or puking in the toilet, I prayed gratitude for good, improving health. Later, I began to pray for those who harmed me, because that was demanded from my program of recovery. Now I pray all the time. In fact, the more I pray, the more I want to pray. I pray for people on the news, for friends with failing health of finances, for our national elections, for the government..... My great companion, the Holy Spirit reveals things to me, and I pray about or for them. Sometimes, my greatest prayer is "God help me." Great video, Issac.
I don't think prayer is boring at all. Sometimes it doesn't come out right but I try to do my best every time, I'm learning and diving more into Scripture and God knows my heart, so it doesn't have to be perfect
Indeed the Spirit is one and the same everywhere. Today I watched a sermon on how to build and maintain an altar of communion with God. God is really trying to show how important prayer is in my walk as a Christian. It's not been easy but I trust God to help me
I do not know how is this even possible. Yesterday I had a phone call with my father about prayer since I have been attending a discipleship program at my church and I like to share with him what was said and all. Now your video is on the same topic. I am just in awe of God´s works. Thank you for sharing your struggles, it is much appreciated.
Prayer is one of the ways we can spend intentional time with the Lord. Though the Lord knows our hearts, He delights in us sharing our prayers with Him just the same. I imagine praying to our Heavenly Father might be like a child running up to their Father and sharing a story or information that the Dad already knows but as a good father he listens adoringly. I like to share with God the prayers and desires on my heart and then end with praying for His will, because ultimately His ways are higher and go beyond my human understanding. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
Thank you for this message. I’ve struggled with prayer growing up. But God used so many means to show me the importance of prayer and how I was looking at it all wrong.
I love this. I'm a new Christian and I struggle with this and the thought that I'm not "Christianing" right. And sometimes little snarky, skeptical thoughts creep in and I hate it. So I really appreciate this video. Thank you!
@@ForeverMe217 Thank you so much. I found a great Bible-teaching church and am in a small group, so that helps a lot. Right now I'm thinking I need to just stick with the basics--pray daily, read my Bible daily--and then go from there. Thanks again for the encouragement. God bless you. 🙂
The enemy will always try to hinder us to have a close relationship with God, so he'll throw darts and temptations at us every chance he gets to distract us. Resist the devil and he will flee. Just keep talking with God through prayer, and don't let anyone or anything to hinder your prayer life. No prayer is too short, and no prayer is too long. It's all about having a relationship with our heavenly Father.
I love these videos you've been doin non click bait. How i see it these videos are for genuine followers of Christ not people who fake the walk by doing videos just for money views likes and fame. Def love more about prayer and I love how you make everything personal to you because I relate better than how people normally talk about a subject. Your genuinely helping verses saying here's the problem and how you fix it but then don't explain what that process looks like where as you do so thank you and praise God!!
Thank you for posting this video, Isaac. I really like this huge book (7 books in 1) on prayer by E. M Bounds. It's helped my view of prayer and I'm not even halfway.
Prayer is important but it's hard to make it an everyday habit. I love my church but there are certain things preachers have said that I don't agree with about prayer, like something along the lines of, "I tell God want to do and he does it" or "You really only need to pray once, cause God hears the first time". The hardest thing about prayer for me is praying for certain things (i.e: healing or a relationship) for a while and watching it happen to other people around you while you're still waiting for it. I try not to compare myself but sometimes it's hard not to. No, you don't always get what you want and prayer isn't about getting what you want it's about a relationship. I know I would feel really crappy if my kids only came to me if they want something. I imagine that's maybe how God feels a lot of the time. He also loves and cares about us and wants to hear from us even though he already knows what's going on. It's not about getting what you want, cause God is by no means a genie or a vending machine, it's about a relationship and it takes time to build one. Give yourself grace. It doesn't happen instantly just because you speak it into existence. Words definitely do have power, but you can't create things only God can... obviously.
@@Jesusisoursaviour601 I feel you. It's hard to keep on praying for something especially when you've haven't gotten an answer for a while, altho something I've been thinking about/ reminded of recently is that story in Matthew 18 where it talks about a widow that kept on persistently asking the wicked judge to help her and didn't stop until she got what she asked for. I think that's there to encourage us to keep praying even when we don't get an answer immediately. Some church dominations tend to push the whole ask, believe, receive thing which yes that's true to some extent, altho you know from the above comment that I wrote before your response, that I don't completely agree with that. There's far more I could say about this but that's all for now. I say all this to say that you shouldn't give up and that you should pray until you see things move in your life and try not to listen to any spirits of self-pity, accusation, bitterness, rejection, abandonment, and doubt and unbelief and you can repent for and renounce participating with/ command those spirits to leave in the name of Jesus because you have authority (and if they don't leave the first time, don't get discouraged, command them to leave a few times until they do).
@@KateHopkins-q8k Is it okay to ask God first then believe on what you prayed for or im not sure, isn't it praying without ceasing 1 thessionlations 5:18 i think. Yeah I agree, when God has said yes, thats when you believe but if he has, he is asking us to keep on asking seeing if we aren't willing to give up
@@Jesusisoursaviour601 Yes, you're right about that bible verse and it's ok to ask him first and believe before you get what you prayed for. You ask for what you want, and if it's part of his will for your life, then he'll say yes and give it to you. He knows what's best for you, and what you want may not be what you actually need. You may or may not ger what you want but prayer is not about getting what you want as much as it is about a relationship.
I recently asked my pastor about prayer (specifically Matthew 21:21-22) and I was wondering if thinking God wouldn't answer a prayer would be akin to not believing He could, or was a sign of unbelief. In the verses Jesus mentions moving a mountain if you believe, and I know God could move a mountain no problem, but I wondered if me having an unbelief that He WOULD was wrong. And my pastor had mentioned that prayers should be in alignment with God's will and bringing glory to God. So to relate it to the verse, if I were to pray that He move the mountain and it was in alignment with His will, it'll be moved. That helped me reconcile some things in my own prayer life and may help some others.
Most likely he’s not going to answer me. Hi I’m Noah and I’ve Been watching you for a while. But do you have any advice for me starting a bible channel?
Can you please talk more about the love of God..... You got me towards the end..... I have a sorta running joke with him - i know, im sorry, i have no idea how to not be your feral cat ....
Nobody can have a personal relationship with God if they don't pray and read His Word. There's more to Christianity than just being saved. A person just can't sit back and do nothing and expect to have a close relationship with God, if they don't talk to Him. It takes prayer, reading His Word and fasting. Nobody should have a problem talking to God, which is what prayer is. You don't any problems talking to everybody else in your personal life and here on RUclips, so why is it a problem talking to God? Romans 8:26 says - Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. It doesn't matter how your prayer(s) sounds like to you! You are praying to God.
No one's prayers suck. Yeah, I know. I am not commenting based on the thumbnail alone and you say what you say. Just my opinion here. No one's prayer sucks. Just pray and read your Bible. Worrying about doing it perfectly doesn't change anything. Just my opinion and is not meant to agree, disagree or refute anyone's opinion. I'm only saying my opinion.
, thank you for your vulnerability, but you said it yourself. Jesus taught you. Look into the history of the church. I say this because the Bible was not there in the beginning. So how did the early church pray? What did the body look like in the time of Disciples. To them, prayer WAS A DISCIPLINE. You really do sound like a Calvin doctrine follower. Tread lightly with that doctrine IF you are. Sadly you saying "experiencing God is like a coworker" for you is not okay. Do not read "your" interpretation, read the Word Exegesis. You won't understand what the scripture is saying if your keeping "feeling" the scripture out.
