Lust is such an underhanded thing. One moment you are like... " I got this" and " I wont fall again" and then BAM!!!!!!!!! Somehow the slippery slope you should not have been on has given way and you fall into the mud pit of sin again.
FOR REAL THO!! i struggle with lust and sometimes i’ll be VERY careful with my decisions and I’ll think to myself “I’m doing great! So far no lust or even lustful thoughts” and then the next thing i know, i fall back into temptation and sin!
So remember. 1 Corinthians 10:12. It warns us to “be Careful when we think we are doing good”. It’s a reminder of how easy it is to fall back in. We can’t do it on our own strength. Or how about when Peter was about to deny Jesus. He tells him to pray so he doesn’t fall into temptation. The devil attacked Peter when he was tired. Jesus said “the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
This video definitely helped, especially when it came to Satan making us question our identity whenever we mess up Maybe it's because I've always had a fear of losing my salvation by dealing the same sin, but whenever I deal with something (not even falling to it just dealing with it) it makes me feel like nothings changed and that I'm not saved. But I see now that I was wrong, and that I have to be confident in God, and stand in that confidence. And it is also through Him, that my temptations can be overcome
I've learned that that God is the source of our power, but we have to use it! And his power lies in his scripture. The way Jesus made the devil flee was by speaking scripture! A verse that has truly saved me so many times is from Romans chapter 6, "just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live in newness of life." You can take his word and you can put all of your faith in it, because it holds the power of the Almighty God.
The world is wasting away and our bodies too. There is so much at loss with this world, its scary to even think that we find ourselves so easily attracted to the fashion of the world, being here in today. The mindset of Christ(Philipians 2) is imperative in this broken world

Keep doing the good works man!! I would add one more point to in the middle of temptation.......Sometimes God will sit and watch to see what decision we will make and bless us if we choose him. Thats why we don't just pray for strength but also wisdom, we have free will and God wants us to make the right choices!
You hit on one point real quick dead on. One of the biggest things that the devil will do to try to tempt a man is first point out and convince them that they are tired. Never underestimate the enemy. Satan will always try to make you "feel good" with things that are temporary.

I’m an American living in Mexico for missions. I hate being here, I don’t speak the language, I don’t have friends, I don’t want to speak the language. I am of no use to my family, and just make their ventures worse,. I’m in a super run down neighborhood and I hate it. Every time I look out the window I want to die. There’s no escape. I’m tired of being told that “this is what God wants for you” “this is where God wants you to be”. I hate that this is my future. I have 3.5 years until I can leave. I have no where to go to share this, this is the only place I can think of. Our pastor is too busy to help me, scripture does nothing, my mom just had twins and my step-dad is tired of hearing it. I’m supposed to be happy, we have a nice house for the area, I have two new siblings, but I hate it. And it doesn’t help that my mother had me with some Latino guy. I blend in with the locals and see no escape. Is this seriously the only place I’m allowed to fit? I’m growing to resent God, and my mother recently shared that in God told her in prayer that we’re going to be staying in this specific area longer for “my benefit”. How is this going to benefit me? I’m just tired of existing, and I hate my relationship with god. It went from 0-100 in no time, and I’m in too deep. if god is good and wants every to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4-6) Why did he give Satan so much power? in Luke 4:6-7 Satan says he's been GIVEN AUTHORITY over the world. Literally the only recorded instance of Satan killing someone (Job's family) is one where he's given permission to do so by the creator of the universe. How is any human supposed to stand a chance in the world when we're faced with an enemy who is so much stronger than us? Who can masquerade as an angel of light(2 Corinthians 11:14) , who has an army of demons capable of making people epileptic and causing children to violently throw themselves into fire. KIDS. How can kids be expected to fight Satan and his demons? This is not fair. Why would god possibly give this being so much power? Why not destroy him after the he first rebelled? I finally cried out to God to help me BECAUSE of how broken and lost I was from Satan ruling over my life - until then...God created us and loves us and actually wants us to love Him back and be able to come to His Kingdom where there is NO sin and evil. So since there's evil here it causes us to want to come to Heaven - which is what He's wanted all along - so the sin and evil and Satan is actually good I recently realized. Because if everything was perfect here or we were made without free will, then we wouldn't seek an escape to something better, Heaven & Him really. I pray this helps. The love of God requires that we have free will. He loves us too much to not let us choose and so he had to let evil exist. Without the existence of evil, we would have no choice but God. It is the power of free will that he gave us, that we give to the devil that gives him his power, not to mention, Satan's power is literally nothing in the face of God's power. God allowed evil to exist so that he could have real, authentic relationships with him and then, have us all the tools to defeat evil, AND came to earth himself to destroy the power of sin and grave. He has actually made it quite unfair for the side of evil. Ultimately it is up to us to decide how we combat evil and if we want to embrace God. Just think about it from a different perspective.
Even though Isaac never ever comes to the comment section I have to make a criticism. Satan does not really deal with us directly. 1. He is not omnipresent: Meaning He cannot be in multiple places at once. How many people are on the earth? If everyone is tempted by Satan, then satan has to be omnipresent. He isn't. 2. Satan has bigger fish to fry rather then deal with you. 3. He has his legion to INFLUENCE you instead. But even they are too busy and also not omnipresent. 4. The "World" system that satan set up is doing most of his work while he attends to more "pressing matters". 5. Your own sin does satans and his demons work for them. You most of the time, tempt yourself. Hopefully isaac reads this, but judging by his track record, probably won't.

He's their boss and we don't know which demon or even their names anyways, so we just say Satan and it's understood that it's his dominion doing these terrible things in and through us. Cling to the Way, the Truth and the Life and literally read the Word daily to help defend yourself from evil.
