I don't why a lot of people over-hype newcomers so much like Kazuya I find it annoying fr most of these people are average smash players without question. High level players like Fatality will destroy a lvl9 CPU period. It's all about great knowledge and practice you'll overcome.

@@allisthemoist2244 uhh no, cpus read inputs perfectly and you could see that when they airdodge and roll perfectly. Fatality cheesed the cpu because of its fixed recovery options.

Yeah made me kind of uncomfortable actually, like a few swears I'm fine but literally every ten seconds he lets one loose. I'm not gonna lie- someone swearing that much, no matter how intelligent they are (and believe me, Fatality is incredibly intelligent), looks really stupid

@@soulsenthusiasts1015 Not just profanity, as profanity itself is not intrinsically unintelligent. The amount of profanity Fatality uses here though bespeakes of a) unintelligence, b) an uncontrolled temper, which I know is not the case, or c) just mental laziness (this one is probably the much more likely case). I have watched some of Fatality's earliest videos, such as the Smash 4 meta video, and he has very elevated diction when he wants to as well as an incredible intellect. But the inability to find another word or maybe use a more creative interjection or even just another word instead of sh*t or f*ck, either or both of which he uses about every ten to twenty seconds, reeks of a bad habit or of just intentionally loose lips. It just doesn't look smart.
Dude just had every penny stolen from him. All his years hard work and grinding just gone like that. It's probably taken a huge mental hit on him. I swear alot more then I like because of pent up anger and depression. Sometime you just can't help what comes out.
@@Alagaros that's a fair point. I understand the not being able to help what comes out of your mouth but I thought Fatality was able to fix it up with his bank? But yeah trauma does take a big toll. However I don't think cussing, especially that much of it, is a good coping mechanism. I'm not trying to be a prude, but honestly what's in your heart tends to come out of your mouth. Maybe there are deeper issues where that's concerned but that's not for me to judge. I was just making the point that swearing that much is kind of silly because it seems like you can't use normal English to its fullest extent (which I know is not the case for Fatality). Again I'm not hating, just pointing this out

Kazuya's neutral and disadvantaged is as bad as any other CPU. The reason ppl care is that he sometimes does semi-technical stuff when he gets that first hit.
My experience was that L9 Kaz learned from me, and whereas I beat him straight in the first few, he kept getting better and better.

the CPUs don't learn. Only the amiibos learn.
@@staticchimera44 it’s like a short term learning, like it won’t save it if u close the game, but the cpu does slowly learn ur play style, it happens in other games like the cpus in the killer instinct, they slowly learn how to play against u but if u close the game that saved data is reset. amiibos do keep all their data and have a more sophisticated way to learn play styles.
CPUs in general don’t DI, that’s how they build up confidence in new players.
Which is funny because it is such a stark contrast to a lot of them parrying like gods and teching almost everything lmao

@@ngotemna8875 Sometimes I have to stop playing level 9 cpu's and go down to 8 because it's just too annoying when they parry every other move for multiple matches. Constant parries is by far the most annoying cpu behavior regardless of if you're winning.
For me they DI but not constantly, for example I have done Wolf fair into bair against mid weight around 60%~ at ledge and survive.

Give the CPU more stocks like 20 or more and that's when they bring out the sauce.

@@violatedchimp I know it's faster but you can't attack cancel and turn your body around with momentum with the up air. If you slow down the video you can actually see that the tilt animation doesn't actually start which let's me know he is doing rar

I can't speak for all of the hype around it, but I think the most challenging stuff I've seen about level 9 Kazuyas are when doing Kazuya dittos. Lot's you can learn from them about playing Kazuya

I never play vs cpus with just 3 stocks, they don’t adapt fast enough. I just put it to training mode and go as long as I want, they usually put on a good show with some time.

So why is it that when I went against Lv.9 Kaz right as he was released he was spamming EWGF like no tomorrow but here it was almost never. He did roundhouse instead of EWGF like every time.

Let's be honest, Fatality'd be too OP with his Fatal Punch skill always crashing the game.
After day 1 of playing the kazuya cpu I started winning with my main but after I dittod him I got 2 stocked it took me like a week to beat em in a ditto which I'm not proud of
I feel like people only lost because they had no idea what the character did or how to deal with him, and underestimated the CPU's ability to perform different inputs and combos. Eventually though, I think it became as much of a meme as anything, though it is still undoubtedly one of the better CPUs.

People lose to Kazuya cpu because they get comboed hard. You haven't had such problems because he's already dead.
People don't really realize how the CPUs work in this game. You can't really play them in a normal 3 stock match and see what they have. Just play them in training mode and at some point you'll see them go absolutely bonkers. It's off and on, probably because they're meant to be a practice tool. They'll let you beat them up a little bit or switch between playing at range or up close. Play them long enough and they will absolutely destroy you one stock and kinda just go back to normal, it's interesting.
Looked like it finally started to press some decent buttons in the last game. I swear my CPUs do more like they have some sort of adjustable difficulty beyond 9. Still do stupid exploitable stuff and aren't as good as a human practice partner but man this poor CPU never got his chance to shine.
