I have had a fissure from the last 10 months. Got Botox injections 6 months ago and the sentinel tag was removed. It didn't heal as expected despite using so many ointments including rectogesic. I was trapped in pain and spasm cycle.
Had to see a colorectal surgeon again. He said he does want to perform sphichrectomy on a female as it wouldn't give a good result. He has advised me to do the below regime for 6 weeks and don't skip any step for any reason. I find this really helpful.
      * Use Rectogesic wipes after bowel movement. No jet or harsh toilet paper.
      * Nefidipine with Lidocaine cream to apply 4 times a day.
      * Two times sitz bath morning after bowel movement and night before sleep.

Yes, please, make this video! How to actually live with a chronic fissure without having it fixed by surgeon. Can we use ointments on permanent basis? How do we prevent complications from happening? Most doctors just advise surgery and that's it. We need to battle it further by our own! We have to actually live with this thing if we do not want surgery! It would be so helpful if you made a video on how to live normal life with fissure while we try to heal it for months and years!

Started using 1 teaspoon Psyllium husk stirred into 1 cup of water in the morning and sometimes also in evening. Then I follow with another glass of water. Need to drink a lot of water and herbal teas!!

Try using the medicine on the applicator if it’s an ointment or use a qtip all you need is a drop on the cotton and you don’t have to insert it far past the external sphincter. Nor does the applicator need to go the full length they are really long.

    • @sakinam8209

If it’s an ointment it’s in a vaseline base. Just put a pea size bead on end of cotton and go slowly until it goes just past the sphincter you’ll feel it start to feel irritated don’t go further as the tissue heals you’ll find it easier and easier. I do this standing but you can lie down on your side and bring your knees up to your chest. Once the product is delivered past the sphincter it will melt and disperse to the internal sphincter which is where it does it’s magic and relaxes it and increases blood supply to it. Depending on how deep the tear is will determine how effective the med is working over time and it needs time to heal so be patient. You could also use a small amount of emuaid which is also in a petroleum base to lubricate outside the sphincter first and it too increases healing. Through all of this try and find a diet that isn’t constipating or causes diarrhea. That’s the trick to maintaining health in this area. It’s also difficult because everyone is different and we all cheat from time to time.
