I use to be an alcoholic but always held my own job career home i never wanted to get to a point that i ended up here. Does not make me a better acoholic, however i am able to notice when its effecting me negatively and have a bigger will power to put it down. Relasped after my gma died couldnt handle the pain 2 month binger and almost lost everything. But then again when that withdrawl was HELLLLLLLL3 i prayed to God over and over for hours straight shakes and hallucinations. & i was able to get back up, but now the thought and smell of acohol makes me sick. Quitting alchol is an exchange for everhthing you ever wanted. Chosing acohol you lose everything. It makes you careless more vulnerable put yourself in stupid situations say stupid things... and tears your body down. Its HARD withdrawal NOT HANG OVERS but withdrawal is your body teaching a big ol lesson i tell ya... but is it worth it YES....your body your family and God will thank you for it. This is a huge reason i got baptized went to nursing school and quit drinking the first time. So i can work in psych and rehab cause i know this world can be hard and cold and sometimes you dont know where to go. But the bottle keeps you in circles and you just gone keep going till you dig your own grave

That's so amazing to hear. I'm so glad you were able to overcome all of that. I was addicted to drugs myself for 18 years. Last month gave me 10 years clean. It was the best decision I ever made. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments. Getting baptized, getting into nursing school, etc... you should be super proud of yourself.
