@@Sultan-cf5wf They did? Quite a few updates back. You just flip on "real speed of sound" or something in the settings. It's not perfect, but it's a decent approximation of it.
Frankly I have the opposite problem. Last couple few weeks, jets have been SO FUCKING LOUD on the ground for me that I have had to resort to turning off the sound of other players engines on one game... We really need a separate sound slider for other players aircraft engines... Trust me, I'd rather not hear planes in WT compared to how loud the jets are...
Some of the jets I tested still sounded the same, the next dev server I will try my best and dig into the new jet engine sounds more! Thank you for watching the Video😁!
@@merijn-5732 this is false, at least in my personal testing in ground breaking version. Me and my friend turned on Speed of sound.Sands of Sinai, custom ground RB match. He was on ground, and I spawned in a F-104 already at M >1.02. I flew at M>1.07 straight at him and he could hear the distinct compressor whine of my F-104 from 3~4 km away. I highly doubt that Gaijin will change the aircraft supersonic sound propagation speed. If I still remember correctly, they said something about “it is intentional that players can hear an incoming supersonic aircraft, sacrificing realism for gameplay balance”. But you should take this with a grain of salt because of the uncertainty of the source and the contradiction that we can hear incoming supersonic aircrafts, but not supersonic rockets/AGMs/ATGMs. I don’t know if it’ll be realistic or not in Winged Lions but for now, you can hear an incoming supersonic aircraft even with speed of sound turned on.
@@thechickenfarmer9741 idk if that could be the issue if its just proper usage of the doppler effect which if u can still hear the compressor whine at mach then wouldnt be as simple as removing it?
Honestly they're few more steps to make games into real life style, just need a couple of improvement which will takes long times to do but! I just hope War Thunder can be a good games out there if they continue updating more new content and such. Also the Jets sounds are super realistic, me likey.
I think the afterburner effect looks wrong, it needs to be more of a solid flame rather than the almost sea through one. I think they should also add a smother transition from the startup sound into the main engine sound
it seems that it only appeared on the dev server, surely there was an error that did not make it possible for those sounds to be added in global version
ruclips.net/video/XWv0P4w5JsY/видео.html Here is the new link for the new video!
T..they actually sound like jets...😭
Fr lmaoooo they sounded like fucking shit but after so long they sound good
They still need to add new sonic boom sounds
they won't add a true sonic boom or beyond speed of sound effects due to balancing.

First of all, they have to model that you can't hear incoming planes if they are going supersonic.
Finally the howling of the F104
I love Screaming howling F-104 sounds..
/watch?v=5xTXPo4gIys&ab_channel=DinantHardeman 🤩
I hope people don't start complaining "muhh ist too loud"
This is what breaks it
they should listen to what an active battlefield sounds like
I remembered a few years ago, people complained about the planes were too loud. When I thought it was really good.
muhh ist too loud
muhh ist zu laut
Maybe they'll actually be somewhat audible from the ground now.
Может быть теперь ЗРК наконец-то начнут целиться в них, а не сидеть за камнем и уничтожать танки.

Sounds so cool now!
You can hold C to look around without using your turret.
I think he knows that when he has a 11.0 vehicle
😂

Finally someone made this video. Thank you
i am dissapointed by they havent updated the sound barrier sound
true.
Imagine if they added a sonic boom that would shake the camera on the ground for a little bit
The already is sonic boom u have to have speed of sound turn on for it to work it not super loud but it not bad
😳
Some of them could definitely use some polishing, but it’s infinitely better than old/current sounds imo.
Umm if its super sonoc it shouldnt be heard till after it passes mich work left to be done but improvements are there
There’s a setting where you can turn On/off the speed of sound. Maybe it’s turned off in this video

The F-104 sounds so good 😭👍
Such a realistic game
very cool but next time turn off your engine volume so we can heat better. Good vid👍
The f104 sounds sooooo goood

its a shame it got a bit polluted by the whine of the turret rotation
