Finally somebody who put Tom and Clear Sky higher up!! Tom may have died saving his kit but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t a horrible cat, mate, and father. Clear Sky was just- ugh.

I've always had sympathy for Blossomfall. When she literally had minor brain damage from falling, Millie told her to grow up. Briarlight told Millie to f off at points, and yet Millie smothered her. Imo, I have a lot of sympathy towards Ivypool and Blossomfall.

Brightflower was not a bad mother. She didn't just think that Yellowfang killed her kits for no reason. She was TOLD that Yellowfang did it and Brokenstar did convince everyone in the Clan. Anyone would be mad and attack the person they believe killed their kids, even if it was their own child. No mother would sit back and say "yes, my daughter murdered my babies, but that's alright". Brightflower had every reason to believe Brokenstar at that point, which is why I'll never understand how she deserved to go to the Dark Forest. Especially when Rainflower was still accepted in StarClan. Ridiculous.

Brokenstar is her leader, someone she should trust in and believe in. She was right to depend on him. Not to mention that Yellowfang was literally found with the kits' corpses - it's a believable case.
Stormtail is one of my least favorite warrior in the Bluestar's Prophecy. He was mooning around Dappletail who is younger and pretty she-cat while ignoring that he has a mate who had daughters with him. At least he comfort Bluefur when she is mourning Snowfur's death but that doesn't mean I like what he saved Dappletail and ignore Moonflower when she is killed.
Mhm I know right, every time his name was mentioned, I should just have a look of disgust. Agreeing with you, I hated him when he fought with Dappletail, instead of saving Moonflower
Almost as if he actually planned to get with DappleTail, unfortunately that backfired when she ended up having RunningWind's kits.
Windstar was not a bad mom. She took her kits away from the clans to keep them safe. She didn't understand her daughter and that led to frustration and severed their bond. And she sent her out because her mate almost died and through emotion blamed moth flight
I agree that spiderleg wasn't a good father. But I leave it to trauma he watched his little sisters die. He cared about them so much that he distanced himself so that he wouldn't get hurt again. The repeat until death map explains this.
Yes pinestar left his son and mate. But he was also a good dad cause he left so he wouldn't have to kill his son.
Crowfeather was a bad dad until his book
Another bad parent is tigerheart. He stripped his son of his title. And was smothering of him.
And bluestar. I like her. But she took her kits yo riverclan in a storm. And one died. And it caused stonefur to die later on. She didn't have to do it that day. Tawnyspots didn't die the next day she could have turned back. And sunstar said he never even considered thistleclaw so it was all for nothing
The first picture for Millie’s really hit me hard. I had JUST barely read that exact quote in my books the other day and it really got me angry at her. Why can’t she understand it’s not all about Briarlight and that she really needs to share the love with her other kits who probably need it more than Briarlight does. I guess I can understand why Blossomfall chose to train in the dark forest. Especially since she doesn’t have much family to focus on anymore so she chose her training.

I wouldn’t say Palebird was bad she just had post partum, which is very hard to deal with and can really change a persons personality and view but I do agree she didn’t treat Tallstar fairly but she did love him she just couldn’t show it
But when she had her new litter she treated him like he'd hurt them and only cared about them. She also never apologized for how she made him feel and never told him she loved him
@@aliviahouk7018 Palebird still is not a bad mother, the only reason that she was scared of Talltail being around her kits was because Talltail reminds her of all of her past trauma, she's scared that with the memory of all that around, she'll mess up and loose another kit.
And no, its not okay not to apologize to someone you've hurt, but she was scared of ruining their relationship even more.
And of course she was more worried about her new kits, in her opinion and yours, she already messed up with Talltail, she dosent want to repeat history

@@nyra8263 Yes it’s not but as I said it can change someone and she lost her child as well, I’m not excusing what she did but her having post partum and the fact that her other kit died really took a toll on her mental health and again changed her personality

No he clearly didn’t he blame Mapleshade for the kits death instead of taking any responsibility himself and he got with other She cat behind her back he just a selfish cheater he can go rot in the dark forest
@@ansleybrunsman18 How did he not take responsibility? He loved his kits, even saving one from drowning, and reacting when he saw the bodies of his kits. Cheating does not equal hell, it’s sadly something common that happens in the world. But cheating is no crime in The Warrior Code, so he can’t go there. Mapleshade was even worse than him.

@@ansleybrunsman18 Mapleshade used her kits as a tool to keep her tied to Appledusk, only seeing them as possessions to manipulate. At the river, it was in a flash flood, no way a ThunderClan cat could swim in there, even one kit complained that it was too dangerous to cross, Appledusk warned them, RiverClan cats warned them, Mapleshade should’ve known by now that the river was too dangerous to cross for her and her kits, right? No! The adult cat just forces their own children to cross, without giving any second thoughts about their feelings.
Some reasoning for some characters on this list that might get questions:
Raggedstar: he coddled and spoiled his kits and never taught them right from wrong. As a result from that, his kits mad bad choices.
Sandgorse: Sandgorse was very pushy on tallkit and didn't think about his needs vs what the clan needed from him. Here is a scene to prove that: (Tallstar's Reavnge)
"He's my son," Sandgorse snarled. "I'll decide his future."
Heatherstar stiffened. "I decide the future of my warriors." she turned to Dawnstripe. "Share your speed and courage with Tallpaw. Make him a warrior the whole of WindClan can be proud of."
Palebird: I'm just gonna also give this scene from Tallstar's revenge to prove she wasn't the best to tallstar while she was good to her other kits. She pushed Talltail'a grief aside after Sandgorse died and got another mate immediately after, Woolytail.
"Talltail lifted his paws high, thumping them down to jolt the kits as they clung on, squealing with delight. When Talltail reached the clearing outside camp, a black-and-white pelt slid through the heather and halted in the grass.
"There you are!"Palebird stared angrily over Talltail's head. "Heatherstar was about to order a search party."
"Talltail's home!" Wrenkit scrabbled from Talltail's shoulders and hurried to meet her mother.
"He saved us from a hawk!" Flykit jumped down after her and weaved through Palebird's legs.
"Talltail?" Palebird stared at her son.
He stared back. Had she forgotten him already?
Palebird snatched her gaze away. "You know they weren't supposed to be out of camp." she gave Wrenkit's head a brisk lick. "Why in the name of StarClan were you playing with them, Talltail?" she snapped. "You should of brought them straight home."
Talltail blinked at her. Palebird was acting like he'd never left. But I did leave. He lifted his chin. "I was bringing them home," he meowed. "You shouldn't have let them out of camp. They were nearly taken by a hawk."
Larksplash stopped beside him.
"He's right, Palebird," she meowed. "If talltail hadn't come back when he did, you'd have lost them."
Millie: she always loved Briarlight over Blossomfall because of Briar's accident which made her worry but that gave her no excuse to treat Blossomfall the way she did.
Brightflower: she accused Yellowfang of killing her kits and help drove her out.
Appledusk: had kits with Mapleshade and seemed to show no care when they died and it seemed he moved on too fast and mated with Reedshine instead, careless about his and Mapleshade's kits.
I feel like most others can speak for themselves on why they were bad parents.
Millie didn't love briarlight more. Briar was injured and millie was worried about her daughter and just so devastated she may have said ablelist things but that was out of grief Gor her daughter. And blossom was a grown woman that didn't need her mom's attention 24/7

Palebird was going through depression and moodswings, she wasnt able to process Finchkits death and that only worsened when Sandgorse died.
When she got with Woolytail and had her new kits, she didnt want to think of Talltail, wanna know why? Because he reminds her of all of that grief and struggle which she had left behind.
And of course she was angry when Talltail was out of camp with them, imagine how you would feel, after going through all that loss and then being faced with almost having to go through that all over again.
and yes, its not okay to ignore your child and not tell them that you love them, but Palebird was already dealing with a lot, grief and new kits.
Also, I know ill get about 10 replies from a few people saying 'OH, OTHER CATS HAVE BEEN THROUGH WAY WORSE' and yes, there are cats who have gone through worse, but Palebird just dosent happen to be one of those cats, people process things very differently, say, you have anxiety about heights, everyone is going to call you a scaredy cat, and thats because they are experiencing different feelings and emotions.
Palebird isnt the best, but to call her one of the worse mums is almost down right insulting to people who have experienced trauma or grief in some way.
@@wet__dogg Don’t forget that Talltail was grieving for his father and dead littermate too. And when Talltail saved Palebird’s new kits from a hawk, she blamed Talltail for playing with them outside of the camp when he saved them from death.
Brightflower wasn't the one that accused her, it was Brokenstar. Her leader. Her leader is the one that "drove her out" (driving someone out of a Clan is what they do to rogues, but they exiled Yellowfang in this case) - her leader is someone she is supposed to depend on and trust in. Not to mention that Yellowfang was literally found with the kits' corpses. Brokenstar made a legitimately believable case and the fact that more blame in this situation goes to Brightflower instead of Brokenstar, the one that actually murdered the children, is shocking
Brightflower is not a bad mom. She loved her children dearly. Anyone would have a mental breakdown and not think straight if your two babies were literally murdered
She even apologized to Yellowfang for her outburst.

Tired of seeing people say Appledusk was a bad dad. He was not. He loved his kits and was happy to be a father while he was alive. He never treated them wrongly or had any hate for them.
Not hating; but this list has some flaws. Brightflower was not a bad mother; she only believed what her LEADER told her. Pinestar was never a bad father either. He left because StarClan wanted him to KILL his kit. Windstar was never a horrible mother either, she only did what she thought was best for Moth Flight. She was never abusive or neglectful towards her.

Yeah, exactly. He was never shown to be a bad father whatsoever, he seemed upset about their deaths. Bad mate, yes, he clearly distanced himself from Maplesbade.
Glad someone's acknowledging how Mapleshades not the best parent too; she brought her kits to a flash flood, expecting it to somehow be okay despite the multiple warnings she was given.
I agree with you about AppleDusk. After PatchKit, LarchKit, and PetalKit died he straight up abandoned MapleShade almost as if he never cared about the kits he had with her!
He cared about ans loved his kits while they were alive. He abandoned Mapleshade because she caused the kittens death.

Spider leg I feel like didn’t really know who to show affection to his kits he was always on patrol /hunting but I kinda agree

Palebird wasn't a bad mom, she had postpartum depression and was grieving the loss of her kit. It was described as a hard kitting so she may have also had PTSD. Then her mate (who was an ass to their son) died. By the time she started to come out of it Tallstar was nearly grown, then he left and when he came back she treated him as an adult.
She was mean to him. she berates him so much and acts the same way to her second litter.

Honestly just my opinion but I don’t think Brightflower should be here. Brokenstar was the one to accuse Yellowfang of killing the kits, not Brightflower. And I don’t think she’s a bad mom for believing Brokenstar when Yellowfang was found with the kittens’ dead bodies. The entire clan was convinced Yellowfang was the killer and it’s understandable why.

It says on the wiki it happens. It says it like this: "Sol was abandoned by his mother when he and his littermates were still kits. Cinders was as whiny and lazy as Sol, and she often complained about her rotten life and her mate leaving her. She never even gave her kits names."

Tbh i didnt really like Pinenose (Violetshine’s foster mother). She basically hated her and her WANTED to abandon Violet to become a warrior again
Cinders wasn’t the worst parent but she still wasn’t good, atleast she left her kits somewhere where she’d know they’d be taken care of and I think that’s a lot better than what Millie and Onestar did and I’m probably gonna get yelled at for saying that or something but she’s better than Rainflower and Appledusk too.
Leafpool must be here because she gave her children to her young sister who was their biological aunt.

Arguably that's a great thing to do, I'm sick of people blaming Leafpool for this situation when not only did StarClan literally tell her to give up her kits but she couldn't have done anything else. Leafpool already broke the code by having kits. She chose to be a medicine cat over having her kits.
@@laloongod4196 She ran away from the clans with Crowfeather to have her kits, she technically wasn't a medicine cat when she got pregnant. She had a vision(I think? I don't remember) about her mentor Cinderpelt being hurt and she had to return because if Cinderpelt died, there'd be no medicine cat in ThunderClan.

Honestly tigerstar wasn't a bad dad, he loved his kits but he was just too ambitious to take care of them properly, he very much loved golden flower and his kits with all his heart, but he didn't exactly like Sasha and his kits with her
I do not agree with Clear Sky. Reason: Clea Sky had loved his kits. When one of them died he had grieved and when Moth Flight gave him Honey Pelt, He loved him like he was his own.(this is from the book Moth Flight's Vision)

She was a HORRIBLE mum. She neglected Bumblestripe and Blossomfall because she thought Briarlight was way more important because of her injury. She seemed to forget that she had 3 kits, not just 1.
@@Ocean_eyes910 Millie was not in the wrong for caring more for her INJURED kit, instead of her two adult kits. Blossomfall and Bumblestripe were old enough to look after themselves; she only stayed clinging to Briarlight because she feared for her kife.

I think Moth Flight was good but she had to give up her kits because of the new addition to the code and she expresses much love and sorrow when she has to give them up. Mapeshade wasn't great, I agree. She saw her kits as objects. Yellowfang couldn't keep hers for the sake of being a medicine cat much like Leafpool
