Before FireStar died, sandstorm said “I love you.” I lost it then. For me she knew he wasn't gonna live any longer. And when FireStar died, I burst into tears. However his personality kinda disappeared after the prophecies begin. (Sorry for my rant XD)

In a way he had to become like that to at all change the clan's prejudice. In short: he just about took on the role of the cats he was trying to prove himself to (although he did make a difference)

Redtail's novella wasn't that interesting, but I would still recommend it. it just his POV of Tigerclaw before he killed him, and how Tigerclaw manipulated him.

But the plot really has no point to it other then okay theres a battle coming up In The near future we should prepare for it or theres a bad guy on the loose we should deal with it and then they deal with it but then they waste time just doing some else away from the main part of the story and the characters idc how much you say its emotional to me I feel nothing no not because idk have heart it's just that simply throwing something that would be realisticly emotional without any depth wouldn't make it emotional like for example moonflowers death and bluestar and snowfur crying they didnt say anything that could potentially trigger emotion I would have said that bluepaws heart was shattered into pieces there was nothing she could do her mother was dead she felt cold and numb just like her dead mothers body but as she grieved with her sister beside her a light shined and then they watched as their mother curled around them in an embrace and whispered to them dont cry because I'm gone be happy because I was there and I will always be there for you even though I'm far away I always be here in your heart as moonflower finished and faded away or something like that and if there were some more family moments as well because I think that would make the scene that seems emotional would make it more emotional because I didnt find firestars death that emotional because telling sandstorm he loved her without any evidence I was just sitting there emotionless the whole time so that's what I mean when warriors is stiff and all the characters pretty much need work
willowfur the fox no offence taken, I see your point and agree that warrior cats characters do need more working on. Some characters have lots of potential and need to have character development and the books need some more emotion. Dawn of the Clans has some amazing books because of the good characters. Gray Wing, Clear Sky, Thunder and even the background characters are good. I enjoy reading Dawn of the Clans, and the other books should certainly be more like it. Have a good day
In a Q&A stream with Moonkitti, she mentions she hates Tigerheart but loves Tigerstar. She mentions that Tigerheart manipulates Dovewing and doesn't do much in compensation, which makes it seem as if he was just using her instead of actually caring for her (ShadowClan has a problem with stealing ThunderClan apprentices to get herbs). _Tigerstar_ on the other hand is a good, dedicated parent and mate who tries his best in tough situations. I don't like him, but he's definitely a good character and a huge improvement from Tigerheart. After watching the "Jayfeather Scene Everyone Missed", and doing that survey on the Warriors website (which took over an hour long, I typed too much in the Other section), I remember a question regarding which Super Editions and manga would you like to see. Personally, I'm fine with anything (aside from Onestar . . . Leopardstar and Blackstar would be interesting, but Onestar is pretty much a brat non-The Prophecies Begin.), but I did write Squirrelflight, which breaks up the formula but there could be a manga, plus having her important roles in the Ashfur love triangle and The Broken Code, and Alderheart, because of his therapist role in that bonus scene. It would be interesting to see him [therapist as a verb, which I'm pretty sure doesn't exist] cats until he dies . . . loved . . .

I'm so thankful Bramblestar isn't on this list. I either like these cats for character development, personality, or overall role in their highest point.

I think that Power of 3 is what kind of killed Firestar for a lot of people. Rereading the entire series I had forgotten how much character and personality he actually had, albeit he was still his best in Prophecies Begin. Saying that, he wasn't bad in New Prophecy, especially at the start. I really enjoyed seeing him interact with his daughters as apprentices. From what I can tell, I really believe that it was Power of 3 and Omen of the Stars that soured him for a lot of people. This was the point where he stopped having meaningful connnections with the cats around him, and basically became an all powerful emotionless robot. Not even mentioning the "Find the Fourth Cat" prophecy; which I consider the be the single most pointless prophecy in the entire series. It's not like Firestar would have done anything different without it. Finally, becasue of this, it made his death one of the least emotional in the entire series. The problem is that everybody when into The Last Hope knowing that he wound die. (kind of simular to Bluestar) If you are going to make in incredibly predictable death have any sort of impact, you need to go over the top. I've always said that His final battle with Tigerstar should have been from his perspective; that is a hill I'm going to die on. It would have been a nice way to wrap up the story, and a nice call back. If I were writing The Last Hope, I would have Firestar take over right as Sandstorm was being attacked by Mapleshade. This way you could see his feeling of him seeing the two cats he loved being attacked in front of him. We could know what he was thinking as he says his final goodbye to Spottedleaf. He could even have a moment of "Wait what is Sandstorm thinking" after Firestar confeses his love for Spottedleaf as she is fading. He could have a moment of panic thinking that Sandstom is going to reject him becasue of it. But have her say that she understands and they can have a final moment together. Ok, the whole thing with Spottedleaf didn't have to be from his prespective, although it would have been better. However, his final confrontation with Tigerstar needed to be. This has been built up for 24 books at this point, they needed to go all in with this scene. I would have loved to have seen Firestar feeling literally all of the emotions at once. All of the fear, courage, anger, resentment, pride, and maybe even some respect for Tigerstar should have boiled over at this point. One thing that I would have changed was the whole Tigerstar missed his death blow lol. This is probably the single most cliche thing they could have done. A few people I know say that, that should have just been cut out entirely. However, I think what should have happened is; have Tigerstar actually land the hit, but then have Firestar be all like "I'm taking you out with me." Have Tigerstar let his guard down thinking that he has won, and have Firestar be all like nope. For a long time Firestar's signature thing was making his opponent think that they had won and then punishing them for it. That would have been a really good throwback to earlier books. Ah yes, another wall of text, this is just something I am fairly passionate about. One thing that I will add it Squirrelflight's hope is one of his best appearences in terms of emotional build.

I’m that one person who loves bramblestar. I just love the development in his character in the new prophecy and he is my favorite cat by far. I would put him at 10 though because I cannot ignore him being a jerk to squirrelflight in squirrelflight hope.

What make these cats be like 'oh lets be together', right? cuz like, even in dotc they started out from a group called tribes into a new group called clans. the ancients were already a group beforehand, so what make these cats think 'oh we'd survive better together' kinda deal, ya know? Since in Firestar's Quest it was Firestar who made SkyClan, so I want a reason that has nothing to do with outside group telling them what to do.

I really loved the order they were in.

But im not a Jaybae level of fandom, hes a cool cat, but hes not my favourite. 3: Firestar He was a fantastic leader, his personality drowned out a bit, but avoiding that, He was very respectful and kind, better then Bramblestar for sure. 2: Alderheart We needed a nervous boy! I think that Power of 3 is what kind of killed Firestar for a lot of people. Rereading the entire series I had forgotten how much character and personality he actually had, albeit he was still his best in Prophecies Begin. Saying that, he wasn't bad in New Prophecy, especially at the start. I really enjoyed seeing him interact with his daughters as apprentices.
From what I can tell, I really believe that it was Power of 3 and Omen of the Stars that soured him for a lot of people. This was the point where he stopped having meaningful connnections with the cats around him, and basically became an all powerful emotionless robot. Not even mentioning the "Find the Fourth Cat" prophecy; which I consider the be the single most pointless prophecy in the entire series. It's not like Firestar would have done anything different without it.
Finally, becasue of this, it made his death one of the least emotional in the entire series. The problem is that everybody when into The Last Hope knowing that he wound die. (kind of simular to Bluestar) If you are going to make in incredibly predictable death have any sort of impact, you need to go over the top. I've always said that His final battle with Tigerstar should have been from his perspective; that is a hill I'm going to die on. It would have been a nice way to wrap up the story, and a nice call back.
If I were writing The Last Hope, I would have Firestar take over right as Sandstorm was being attacked by Mapleshade. This way you could see his feeling of him seeing the two cats he loved being attacked in front of him. We could know what he was thinking as he says his final goodbye to Spottedleaf. He could even have a moment of "Wait what is Sandstorm thinking" after Firestar confeses his love for Spottedleaf as she is fading. He could have a moment of panic thinking that Sandstom is going to reject him becasue of it. But have her say that she understands and they can have a final moment together.
Ok, the whole thing with Spottedleaf didn't have to be from his prespective, although it would have been better. However, his final confrontation with Tigerstar needed to be. This has been built up for 24 books at this point, they needed to go all in with this scene. I would have loved to have seen Firestar feeling literally all of the emotions at once. All of the fear, courage, anger, resentment, pride, and maybe even some respect for Tigerstar should have boiled over at this point. One thing that I would have changed was the whole Tigerstar missed his death blow lol. This is probably the single most cliche thing they could have done. A few people I know say that, that should have just been cut out entirely. However, I think what should have happened is; have Tigerstar actually land the hit, but then have Firestar be all like "I'm taking you out with me." Have Tigerstar let his guard down thinking that he has won, and have Firestar be all like nope. For a long time Firestar's signature thing was making his opponent think that they had won and then punishing them for it. That would have been a really good throwback to earlier books.
Ah yes, another wall of text, this is just something I am fairly passionate about. One thing that I will add it Squirrelflight's hope is one of his best appearences in terms of emotional build.
