Not a big collector here. But I ordered a BB58 about 3 years ago. Waited patiently untill I got the call from the dealer about a year ago. When I went there they had the white panda chrono there as well. After wearing it for a few minutes I ordered one and am waiting again....
I didn’t expect to ever buy a Tudor but the reverse panda was one of the most beautiful watches I’d ever seen. Had to get it :) Teddy this video was great! Incredible script, insight and b-roll.
@R A no it's not. That's what someone who doesn't know what they are talking about or has eaten for breakfast all the marketing Rolex has done and has an enlarged ego. By the way I have multiple Rolex watches and I don't see Tudor as the poor man's watch. I have this new Tudor on order too. You should be happy that people can all enjoy different brands at different price points without dusting off that ever so original phrase you posted.
@R A Got news for you bro, Tudor is putting out some of the most gorgeous watches over the last few years...poor man's Rolex? I think not....that's quite a pretentious thought process.
Teddy the best part of your videos is your ability to look at brands the are in a price range most people can afford. Your reviews of such brands like Tudor, IWC, Hamilton, Grand Seiko etc that are overlooked because of higher end brands. Even when you shopped with Mr Wonderful you looked at some excellent choices at affordable prices. Because of your reviews I purchased a Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT and love this watch. Keep up the great work.
Agree. I own a DateJust I bought new in 1992 and wore everyday for 25+ years. I love this watch Teddy is reviewing here and tracked one down last week. It’s a major home run if you have a larger wrist IMHO.
My assumption of someone that buys a Rolex these days is that they bought on the secondary market because ADs don't sell any diver rolexes in their retail stores anymore.
Picked one up yesterday in white! Beautiful watch and exactly what my collection needed. I have a modern Rolex and this thing 100% matches the build quality. I have a small/medium wrist and it sits very nicely too!
I purchased the Panda the day after release date. I was so fortunate since they only had one at the retailer that was sent by Tudor. Couldn’t be happier. Don’t tell my wife 😂
@@anabohueles2243 Congrats Ana! Best watch under €5’000?! I would rather say best watch under any price point! Why would anyone spend more (usually at least double the price) if you can get this beauty for such a reasonable price with that outstanding package it offers?! This is both a fantastic emotional and rational decision at once.
Picked up the Reverse Panda 2 days ago. That’s my wrist beautifully, and really is a stunning time peace. And then two days, it has gained only one second. That’s pretty damn good accuracy so far!
This is the best video I have seen on these new chronos. I personally would go with the black dial version. I think this watch offers a relatively fair value for the money.
Great video! I actually got to play with the black dial at my local AD today. While I really like the way they look and think the B01 movement is magnificent, its a big, thick watch that probably won’t be for folks with smaller wrists. If this was a 40mm / 13mm thick piece, it would be a perfect watch and I would probably buy one.
Great choice! I got one of these myself and it’s a stunner! The silver subcounters match elegantly with the stainless steel case and bracelet. Both versions are extremely nice but I prefer the reverse Panda even a bit more.
This is probably my favorite release from W&W 2021. The black dial is very nice, super legible. Considering the specs the price is pretty good in my opinion.
After seeing both the black bay pro and the panda daytona in person I would love to own both. If i had to choose it would be the Tudor. The daytona is a little underwhelming in person when it come to size. I currently wear an SD43 so that might be why i chose how i did.
Great video. I love the standard panda version of this watch! I have the same size wrist as you, so the size is pushing it, but I have an ETA Black Bay red from 2015 and feel that I actually pull it off fine. This time around, though, I've given my wallet a bit of a break and just bought the Hamilton Intra Matic Chrono, which is also a stunner at less than half the price. Though not in the same league, there is something about the Hammy that pulled me in and keeps me staring at it. For this year's Tudor releases, I have my eye on the silver dial Black Bay 36, which is also pulling me in and would fit my wrist perfectly.
Both are beautiful watches. However, for me the Panda’s white hands and dial doesn’t make it the easiest watch for glancing the time. Also the snowflake hour hand can obscure the chronograph’s sub dials, making them impossible to read.
Question for anyone familiar with this watch: Does the large second hand ever stop and have to be restarted or will it run continuously as long as the watch has power. I only ask because I have a couple of chronographs that stop at noon on the hour and you have to press the 2 o clock button to restart it.
I really like the new loom of this watch. I think these two are going to be good sellers for Tudor. I am thinking of purchasing the white panda, it is stunning. I think the reduction in case thickness was a great move by Tudor.
How does the Chronograph work? It looks like the 3 o’clock dial goes to 45. Does this mean that it only times up to 45 minutes? This seems strange when other Chronographs such as Breitlings time up to 12 hours.
I bought a black bay chrono last March & simply love the look of the watch. I tried various watches including Rolex Omega etc but Tudor style was allot better
Quick general question and need some advice from anyone who can help. Looking to buy my first 'proper' watch and I have thin wrists. About 5.9~/6 inches. I have a decent budget of between £150-£700~ (yes it's varied), and I have some watches in mind that are round 34~mm such as; -Timex marlin hand-wound -Junghans max bill manual wind -Naos XS silver -vintage Omega Seamaster 34mm But as it's my first proper watch, do I risk going for vintage? Or just go for new seeing as it's first watch? I'd prefer a casual type watch and my eyes are on the Junghans so far, but need to find more 34mm~ watches
A great review Teddy, I didn't realize I needed (yet) another chronograph until Tudor released these. My head says go for the reverse Panda for its instant readability and better depth with the more obvious dished sub dials but my heart is looking at the Panda. Decisions.... decisions... money.... money. I think I need to sleep on any purchase decision a while.
I have an odd question, and maybe naive, but I've never owned one of these. If the running chronograph goes beyond the 45 marker does it continue to run? Just want to know for timing events beyond 45 minutes. For example 15 = 60 minutes, etc.
Just got the panda. I also have a white 116500. Love both! My only Tudor, probably won’t buy another. This watch called to me though. Your videos are beautiful. Love them. Thank you so much!
I'm currently trying to decide whether to buy: Option 1: black dial Tudor Black Bay Chrono or Omega Speedmaster; or Option 2: Tudor Pelagos AND a black dial Bulova Lunar Pilot 43 mm
Was going to get a Rolex for my 50th been sometime since I had a nice watch. After visiting my local AD I was taken back I had to register my interest etc and go on a list to obtain a watch. I watched a video when these were released and ordered one straight away love this watch looks and feels fantastic. Also ordered the new Zerowest H1 watch which I'm super excited to receive worth searching for a video to watch on these bad boys limited number available also can't wait to get it.
Always find it surprising how many watch brands treat typography like an afterthought. Seems they have used Myriad and Arial, two of the default computer system fonts. It’s not hard to do better. IWC also started to replace their Helvetica numerals with custom ones on the Mark 18.
I got one of the very first ones when they came out, with leather strap. Amazing accuracy: +0.20 sec/day with chronometer engaged ( I like the long second hand to run). Strap lasted only 2 years, but local strap maker made a stronger and nicer looking one using the original clasp for about 75% less than the Tudor original one. Great watch, and a bargain actually.
Ok... I WANT TO LOVE THESE - and in theory I do! I love the way they look, I love the dials, I love the thickness..... BUT it's much too big to wear! I'll wear some bigger watches as well! But just that weeeee bit too big! Looks amazing in photos though! So freaking sporty.
Bought the Panda version and I fell in love with it right away. I think it was a great piece and would consider it the baby brother of the Daytona. I was lucky to get it since the dealer was only sent one Panda.
As someone who wears the Black Blue Blue 41, I welcome and applaud the reduction in thickness in this release. My only regret is waiting a few days to learn more about this watch before talking to my AD... now I wait for my panda. Thanks for a solid hands-on look at this watch.
While using chronograph function, when I reset it, sometimes the minute chrono hand stops at 1 min. mark instead of 0 mark. And sometimes while starting chrono, the min. chrono hand moves to 1 min. mark straightaway when chrono is started. Is this a common issue? Any suggestions for this problem or it needs Service Centre attention?
Thanks Teddy, good review! I recently got a S&G version of this watch and it's an absolute treat to wear (same exact case dimensions). The movement is running +/- 1 sec per day after the couple of days break-in period. An under-the radar Daytona cousin with the same or better specs and quality from the same brand family, only with Date! for 1/6th the market price of its older cousin! Go figure...
i bought the black one at retail price. i think i have been buying too many watches. just January, i bought a rolex datejust 41 blue fluted bezel with jubilee bracelet. and last year bought a Ball Icebreaker Arabic. This one is truly value for money with excellent quality and power reserve of 80 hours.
You won’t be disappointed. I picked up my first Tudor watch, a steel and gold Black Bay Chrono. They are basically half priced Rolexes that are fairly attainable (for now). In fact, you’ll probably never justify paying about double for a very similar Rolex ever again. Lol.
I asked my AD about the Panda today and he told me that I am the first person to ask about this watch in that particular store. He is going to let me know when it comes in. I was considering the Omega Speedmaster Racing co axial, but the Tudor is very similar and at about approximately $2000 cheaper I think I'll buy it. If I get buyers remorse I'll just sell it on and recoup my investment.
Tough choice i like both! Just checked out new blue but it’s a bit too flashy for me. Question: anyone purchased from Jomashop? Whats scoop with them being $1k less than retail… to good to be true. At this price point I think I will just go to a Tudor boutique- seems like a safer bet. Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated Awesome reviews Teddy! You rock
Thanks for the video Teddy... my favourite is the 36mm Explorer. I'm a little bit torn between new and the old 114270. ... but I think it has to be the new (modern movement, bracelet, lume, 5 year warranty, under crystal anti reflective coating)... but there is a really beautiful video by YoureTerrific that really confused the whole thing for me..... so still not sure which one.. hope you get to review it soon. Thanks
I like the Panda, but being a bit colorblind, I can’t really read the time on it. There is not enough contrast on the hour and minute hand. A watch has one job…. 😢
Tudor Had one of the Best Releases, followed by Breitling even though they didn’t partake in Watches and Wonders. The Black Dial is a Stunner and With the Date Option I prefer this over the Roooolex Chrono.
I would have hopped on that Reverse-Panda SO QUICK if I wasn't already so damn close to hitting the Retail Price of the SLGH005 from Grand Seiko... Love both of these, but if I had to choose, I'd take even the SBGA211 (Snowflake) from GS over either of them... And especially the SLGH005 White Birch... These are some of my favorite chronographs out there though, which surprised me quite a bit considering I've never been a fan of these Tudor hands... But there's so much good, I feel it outweighs my slight issue with the hour hand specifically. Great video Teddy!
I am very torn as well. When I first tried them on I was leaning silver but after a week I think the black took my heart. It looks a bit better on my wrist. Appears smaller too.
Love the white dial, but concerned a bit about legibility. Got rid of my white dial Speedy Racing for that reason. Don't want to make the same mistake twice. Another great video Teddy.
I own the panda (white dial) and I can confirm that legibility is really bad, it didn't strike me on the pictures, but the first time that I took it outside it was really hard to actually read the time, I don't get why they didn't put black hands. This white on white is terrible
Too big I think but I do like them. For me I ordered the new BB58 925 silver from my AD. I have already bought the blue and black versions from them so they know me. I was told the silver BB58 isn't a high volume piece and they will only get two this year. Luckily for me they have reserved one for me which should arrive in just a week or two.
Definitely a home run for Tudor. I'm leaning toward the black dial.
I tried it on and it's so damn nice
Not a big collector here. But I ordered a BB58 about 3 years ago. Waited patiently untill I got the call from the dealer about a year ago. When I went there they had the white panda chrono there as well. After wearing it for a few minutes I ordered one and am waiting again....
I picked up the panda today as my first luxury time piece and I am so so happy with it. Tudor are flying!!
how is it after a year?
@@sahilkhurana_ I still absolutely love it and it still looks brand new!!
I'm thinking of buying it. I find that its a bit big though. Is it worth it it is a bloody beautiful watch
Depends on how big you're wrist is. Mine are small but the Panda looks so good,it feels substantial.
I didn’t expect to ever buy a Tudor but the reverse panda was one of the most beautiful watches I’d ever seen. Had to get it :) Teddy this video was great! Incredible script, insight and b-roll.

I hate that most watch newbies think that people who buys Tudor means that they can't afford a Rolex.
This watch is simply stunning.

I think it’s funny when people assume this, only to realize later my collection is valued over $2 million with several 6 figure pieces.
My assumption of someone that buys a Rolex these days is that they bought on the secondary market because ADs don't sell any diver rolexes in their retail stores anymore.
Spot on. I bought the Tudor panda at the same time as I bought a DJ41. The panda is sexy beast of a watch. I absolutely love it.
I own vintage Rolexes and I love that Tudor is sporting the style that made Rolex Professional Series the watches they were in the 70’s,80’s and 90’s.
You're one of the few that has the accurate measurements for this new model. Subscribed. Always great content.

Got my reverse panda a day after they released it. Never gotten a watch so fast

How can you take chronographic measurements when the snowflake covers the subdial?
Already have my chrono panda. Ad called me the day after she received it. It’s even nicer in person
Wow thats great! congrats you must be a high value customer. My AD said it'll be at least a 6 month wait but most likely a year.

I have a Black Bay Chrono it is just an awesome watch. Glad to see Tudor continuing to excel.
I feel like the panda markers and hands should’ve been boldly outlined in black for legibility and contrast, how did they overlook that??
Thx Teddy. Could you do a comparison with Hamilton's Intra-Matic?
BB Chronos or Speedmaster?

I have a decent budget of between £150-£700~ (yes it's varied), and I have some watches in mind that are round 34~mm such as;
-Timex marlin hand-wound
-Junghans max bill manual wind
-Naos XS silver
-vintage Omega Seamaster 34mm

I'd prefer a casual type watch and my eyes are on the Junghans so far, but need to find more 34mm~ watches
Is that crystal zoom and distorting near the boundaries normal in other watches at certain angles?
Is the white dial a full lume? It ought to be a fully lumed dial with black hands and black indices .
Great overview and detailed analysis. I wonder your thoughts on how it compares to the Zenith chrono (i.e. Zaytona)?
Is the back covered? Also, are the bands a quick change?
A great review Teddy, I didn't realize I needed (yet) another chronograph until Tudor released these. Would you get this over the ck2998 LE?
Is it heavy?I owned the regular BB not chrono and sold it after 1 month because the weight isn’t comfortable for wearing all day

Isane bokeh in the b-roll, which lens are you using?
Just got the panda. I also have a white 116500. Love both! My only Tudor, probably won’t buy another. This watch called to me though.
Your videos are beautiful. Love them. Thank you so much!
Hi , could you guys give me some opinion of choosing this one or zenith chronomaster sport, which one do you prefer?
would the BB Chrono bracelet fit the Tudor GMT?
I'm currently trying to decide whether to buy:
Option 1: black dial Tudor Black Bay Chrono or Omega Speedmaster; or
Option 2: Tudor Pelagos AND a black dial Bulova Lunar Pilot 43 mm

If this watch had a clear back / display case, it’s would be perfect 😍
Teddy, will you get your hands on the BB36 silver dial? Cheers.
Can you make a comparison of Tudor Black Bay Chrono and Omega Seamaster Diver 300m? They are right at the same price point of $5000.
6.75 inch wrist here. Not happy w the 22mm lug width. Had they kept the 20mm this would have been a much more versatile watch.
How much does it weigh on the bracelet?
While using chronograph function, when I reset it, sometimes the minute chrono hand stops at 1 min. mark instead of 0 mark. And sometimes while starting chrono, the min. chrono hand moves to 1 min. mark straightaway when chrono is started.
Is this a common issue? Any suggestions for this problem or it needs Service Centre attention?

Love both of these, but if I had to choose, I'd take even the SBGA211 (Snowflake) from GS over either of them... And especially the SLGH005 White Birch...
These are some of my favorite chronographs out there though, which surprised me quite a bit considering I've never been a fan of these Tudor hands... But there's so much good, I feel it outweighs my slight issue with the hour hand specifically.
Great video Teddy!
Very nice, but I think too big for my wrist. See my AD tomorrow and prob going to pass for a GMT master II instead.
Anyone know the thickness of the sapphire crystal? If the crystal is 1mm thick wouldnt the watch technically be 13mm thick?
Love it but don't like the use of aluminum on the bezel.
Teddy which one would you prefer? Panda or reverse I was super torn when I made my selection
I am very torn as well. When I first tried them on I was leaning silver but after a week I think the black took my heart. It looks a bit better on my wrist. Appears smaller too.
Black on bund strap is the best choice. Bracelet is a close second
Put my panda on a black rubber b looks great.
The reverse Panda looks better. Will get that one. Thanks for the video.
I have the Panda, its a matter of preference. The Pandas have been all the rage & harder to find in general. I want both,I'm greedy!
