This guy said he has seen 200 snow geese that day. I’m 11 years old and saw 500,000 at one time. I know this was early and 200 is a lot for that time. Great hunt! Keep making videos.

Just got back from Saskatchewan on Sunday. Two of us shot 107 geese in 3 days, 61 snows, 44 honkers and 2 whitefronts. Hunted a pea field one day, barley the others. Hunted with an outfitter. He was excellent. He doesn't use laydown or coffin blinds. He has two types of canvas blinds, one with a flip open top and one with just straight sides. We sat on field chairs and had our 2 dogs with us. The outfitter placed these blinds in the middle of the fields, far away from any natural cover, but he cut branches (some kind of willow) from small trees at the edge of the field the first day, and we used those same branches the next 2 days. I'd guess we used about 50-60 branches total around the blind location. He has a heavy duty battery powered drill with about a 24" long bit and he drills holes in the ground around the blind, some are 8-10 feet away from the blind. Then the branches are stuck in these holes and look like they grew there. And of course the sides of the blind itself are covered in straw, pea vines and some small branches. The blinds fold up and are hauled around in his big trailer. The geese rarely flared from our setup. We had several groups land next to the blind. With this type of blind, we can see the birds coming much better, and can stand and shoot much quicker and with better results than with a lay-down blind. The outfitter was meticulous and made sure the blind looked completely natural.

I can't imagine how your filming and production could get any better. Super clear and as real as it gets. But your hide is DEFINITELY an issue. (But it may not be the only issue.) First 2 things that come to mind are the spacing between your blinds, they should be between 4 and 6 paces apart, and turn the foot of the blinds 45 degrees to the right so everyone has the same wide window to swing into without swinging over each other. Proper blind spacing helps you obscure each one with decoys around the blinds. (place dekes at the foot, head and sides of the blinds about 2 feet from the blind, this keeps the dekes out of the shadow of the blind if its sunny. the dekes on the sides hide my flag and make the look of it more realistic.) Blinds are also too bushy...the main thing with grassing these blinds is obscuring the unnatural straight lines or curves of it, while leaving some gaps for the fabric to mimic the ground around the blind.
Also need to use long moans on the calls more to calm the birds, read their wing movement as you call and try to find the sounds that calm them and cup them up! Sorry to have so much to say, but you asked.... lol
Search Kevin Alesa John on the alberta waterfowl facebook pages for some of my videos on this. Much respect you guys for your passion and hard work keep this content coming!

I'm not a professional so take my opinion lightly, been doing this about 7 years and I'd say on the morning hunt from what I can see the spread was at fault, I've always been told to not put so many decoys so close to the layouts because you direct the focus on yourselves, the spread looks just bunched up in general, you guys did good tho! tuff to hide where yall were. keep after it, love the content!

Been hunting geese for 40 + years
If you're blinds are in the decoys, use decoys to help your hide. A couple of companies make decoys the attach to your doors. They work!
I thought your coloration matched the pea feed trash. So that looked good.
I would also sie off to the side of the hill rather than on top.
      Like the videos.......keep em coming!

I think your main decoying issue is that you basically have a duck field rig set up with duck decoys in the kill hole. Geese don't usually like that. Putting duck decoys and the mojos right in the hole will usually cause the geese to veer off to the side. Even the spinners turned off will still push geese off to the side. I'd not bother putting out the duck decoys, and i'd leave the spinners to the side of the hole to give the geese a good opening.

I am from alberta we use a frame bush blinds in pea fields. I know the guy you are with. He knows what he's doing. Bit having that much trees around you a bush blind would have been best. But if he has hit this field before that hunt. I could see why he went with layouts. I am doing the same. We shot a pea field Monday and we are hitting that same field in the am with layouts this time just for a different look
