Easily done if you can modify configs on the fly. I used Bandit Hide to do that exact thing and troll some of the regulars on the server, all in good fun.

Some people don’t realize how truly sad these cheaters are. Every time they get game banned they have to purchase a new account with rust on it. So the repeat offenders are spending hundreds of dollars just to cheat in a video game.
Actually, me and my fiancee use the same computer, and we both have steam accounts. I can play games he's purchased, so regrettably, they aren't dishing out that much. T^T
What if they use like stolen credit cards to buy that shit probably a factor to why they don't care

And considering how fast these guys get caught, some of them have spent close to $1000 just to play the game as a cheater. That's the sad part. Small correction, Camomo. Some PvE servers aren't modded to stop damage. Server admins just pay attention to the logs and watch what is happening. Also, the PvE server I play on has it so that you can enable raiding, but you can't disable it for the rest of the wipe. And when you enable raiding, it leaves your own bases vulnerable to raiding.

When Rust first came out I ran a fairly popular server and had to try so hard to bait hackers into killing me in impossible ways so I could be sure they were cheating and ban them. There were almost no tools to assist in the process back then, it was nearly a full time job. Seeing this channel own these idiots is great to see, thanks for the content.

I had an admin save my wipe from a cheater months ago, he took pictures as i raided it and i dont think ive ever had that much fun.

There are many many PVE servers that don't disable things like player damage to buildings / players because it affects the ability to kill scientists, or moves them into the modded tab when they want to be in community.
The logic of "I wasn't cheating it was my brother" then responding in a way that admitted to cheating was a 1000 IQ play

Accounts are more like 10$ if you know where to buy them. Cheaters rarely make new accounts and buy game with full price.

It's common to see people claiming that developers allow cheating because they make money off new accounts. In reality competitive games that are plagued with cheating, bugs and exploits end up with a rapidly shrinking player base leading to obscurity.
Cheats/detection is an eternal arms war. Gamers who think devs are just lazy or profit motivated, that they could put a stop to cheating if they wanted are utterly misinformed.
Someone pays retail for the accounts... No matter if they are stolen and resold again etc
@ziqt The thing is paying for 4 accounts is basically buying the game all over again. And from my understanding, the cheaper accounts are more likely to already have bans on them.

One of these days I got to sit back and actually play this game, have had it for years and yet never got into it, I tend to start to learn and some random kills me and I get discouraged and go back to other games.

I gotta say though...If I never watched your videos, I would never EVER have thought to go check BigBadBusker's, the guy I met in Rust one random night, Steam profile to make sure he didn't have any bans. Truly. I would have continued to play with him, and if I didn't notice anything odd, I would have NEVER EVER HAVE KNOWN HE WAS A HACKER....but we were steam friends. So, in that case, you would have banned me as well. Since I do watch your videos, however, I checked....but there's COUNTLESS people out there who hasn't. My son is one of them. After watching you, I went and checked out my profile and my friends but my son's and his friends as well. Turns out he sometimes played with a stinky and had no idea. So, again, another instance where my poor little man could have gotten the hammer, so I don't know if I totally agree with banning people just because their friends with a cheater...There has to be other criteria for the "friend" to meet to warrant a ban. Set it up so when you ban someone, you change the code/key for any TCs that they are authorized on. Considering you can make them sit on a rocket until the rocket explodes, you could sure have this one done (either made by you or someone else)
Then you get to watch them squirm to destroy their TC to gain access. Maybe have it so any damage they inflict on a TC instead inflicts that damage on them lmao

He pretty much said "It was a server where there's PVP, but you cannot raid. And the way they tried to prevent that is they dont let you pick up or craft raiding tools, but with my cheat I was able to get raiding tools, and raid in a server where they dont allow raiding"
And I can 100% picture servers that do that kind of setup. Server owners also make mistakes.
