    Respect to you for fishing there 🫡 I dislike those lakes or any south cali lakes because it gets super crowded and it’s pricey and sometimes with people not demonstrating angler etiquette it’s not worth it. Rather fly fish north Cali or Steelhead in Washington. But again respect to you fellow angler for putting that work ✊🏼 😅

    I’ve kind of drifted away from using the power ball worms and gone into minnows and mini jigs mostly. I feel like the powers are the least effective from the minnows and spartans

    While wading gets you a few extra feet, it messes with no waders and also keeps the fish out deeper for non waders. This time of year with colder water especially shouldn't be done IMO 8 foot rods. light line, bigger tube jigs and still wading?

    • @GoldenStateFishing
      @GoldenStateFishing  10 месяцев назад +2

      Definitely doesn’t mess with no waders other friends next to me catching them just fine . On this specific spot there is shallow area that goes out far and waders help lots the fish sit out farther . The waders get me an extra 20ft and makes a huge difference. Definitely don’t want to go bigger on tackle super finesse is the way to go.

    • @kendebeer9269
      @kendebeer9269 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@funkehouse They are stocking a lot of rainbow trout and lightning trout. Years ago Diamond as a great trophy trout fishery. Used to be huge schools of large trout cruising the lake. Lots of very large holdover trout caught...Then the stripers wiped them out. Now a few days after the stocking the fish are mostly gone...many are snagged by scum bag "fishermen"
