I don't care what anybody says. These were the times and if I could I would go back and PARTY at KKC alllllllllllllllllllllllll niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight looooooooooooonnnnnnnnnng.
Back in the early 90's....I'm from Detroit...been a house head since I was 14...then I got into spinning at the same age.....in my early 20's, I had a few college friends who lived outside of Chicago and I would visit on a weekend or holiday...first spot to hit was the WAREHOUSE!!
THIS. IS. DEEP!! Putting this on a loop! But, let’s be clear. Deep House is an amalgamation of disco, Italo Disco, Philly Sound, religious, some reverbs for effect, and of course, the incomparable Dr King!
I remember being in high school and waiting for BMX to play their Hot Mix 5 shows, ready with my box of cassettes, I still have a few to this day. BTW, for all of you who say that this is disco not house, undestand that the deeper that the DJ's had to dig into their crates, meaning the more obscure the song, the deeper it was.
this stuff is the real deal!!!! Chicago house music kicks major booty!!!!!! I miss the 80's :( Did they put acid in the water/drinks at the warehouse? I think im still high. lol
@tribaltee so true and absolutely correct!! this deep underground house music ain't nothing to take for granted, and i'll be spinning it until the day i pass on!!
I love House music to death, all genres, but this is strictly all 70's Disco. Nothing wrong with any of these groovy tracks.... but it's Disco. Thanks for posting the mix nonetheless cause i'm still diggin' it.
@ShinLvlGod the 3rd track is "mainline", by black ivory(1979)......great friday night dance classic here in chicago!!! look the song up, it's on here!!!

@ycmgh That's what true deep house is ! The essence of house is underground disco dance classics, the core hence the term "deep".
I love House music to death, all genres, but this is strictly all 70's Disco. Nothing wrong with any of these groovy tracks.... but it's Disco. Thanks for posting the mix nonetheless cause i'm still diggin' it.

A perfectly good mix ruined by the stupidity of ads. If you need to include ads, put them at the front or endnof the mix, but don’t ruin it.
and the other one at about 9:00?
What's That Song at 5:57???
what's the name of that cut, at 6:00?
this is actually garage music... the original garage, not UK garage.... no dis, I like it a lot, just mislabeled
