House Music All Night Long.
WORD! I lived in Chicago and moved to Cali. I miss the old WBMX. 103rd and Ebehart, Chicago!
That skyline brings back memories
I was born in 75 also and was raised in Chicago and the 80's was the best time for house music!! I sure do miss the old mixes.
Frankie Knuckles and Farley are two of the best!
This what Chicago house nation is all about !!!! Sweeeet mix !!!!
simply beautiful old-school 🏠
I feel honored to have been born in the city house music was invented. And close around the time it was popular. Born in Chicago, 1991!
The innovation behind this music is unreal. Pure creativity and brilliance. Chicago gave birth to so many giants and still doesn't get the credit that it deserves.
ROSELAND/WEST PULLMAN>>> SOUTH SIGH-EEED!
Man, I've lived in Chicago my whole life and I remember riding in the car with my parents and they'd play this music all the time ever since I was born. Gotta love house.
my head won't stop moving this is the best years of my life
The animal in me is drawn to that four-four beat, beyond that some kind of inner awakening has me caught.
This is the raw, uncommercialised, true house music - stuff that was made in basement's and attics and true house! I can't imagine this fading away.
I miss living in Chicago(75 to 85).Thanks for posting this.
Chicago House at its best!
All my fellow Wild Wild 💯's people in da doh!! This is old skool checking in from 117th and Lowe, down the street from The Copperbox!! It's all good in the hood 💯💯 Wild Wild 💯's til I die 😁🙏👍✌️👌
You can feel this music run into your ear and just thrill your soul, it makes want to move, groove and just go back in time, Classic House music is the best dance soul music that ever came from Chicago! "I Pledge Allegiance to this house groove"
This brings back great memories! I remember "Jackin"! The Rainbow roller rink at Lawrence and Clark..Damm, I'm a teenager again..
back in 89 when the shit really started kickin in..it was real good in da early 90s, i really think it peaked in 95..now a days, what can i say maybe i don't like it cause im older now,but but let me tell u what..i miss da old skool shiy.......

Man, I can remember being a kid living in Chicago in the 80's and bumping house music everyday especially friday and saturday night. Its too bad they dont play "house music" in Nashville...I may need to come back to my roots. South-Side Chicago. I also wish I could find a good 30 to 60 minute post of house music so I can put on my head phones and zone out.
102.7 FM WBMX The Originator of the Hot mix .HOT MIX 5 .Chicago House is the ORIGINAL Baby~!
The universe is answering my questions. I love it.
I agree that showmanship is a part of the whole experience. But as a clubber, that's what WE are there for;-) I don't know how many times I've seen some poor disc spinner battling with the 'lonely soul' of the club. The drunk trying to chat up the deejay whilst he's spinning. That's the bartender's job. The deejay is like the 'Man behind the Curtain' in the Wizzard of OZ... like a chef. You know he's there but you let him do his thing ...we are the show!
cheers
LONG LIVE THE OLD SCHOOL CHICAGO HOT MIX!!!! I loved it.Jamming with the ladies back then on a saturday night, kicked ass.
This is real House music right here!! Chi town 773!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This reminds me of going to those basement parties with the low ceilings!
listening to this music and looking at this pic Chicago was so live in the 80's so much underground places to go.the northside was jumpin .now everything is just so dead fucked up the energy is gone!!! Mayor Daley was a good mayor but when it came to the club sceen the city had so many place closed or shut down damn how clean do you want a city to be!!! Every city deserves to have some dirt spot just for fun ......

Chicago house is amazing but if you think there weren't innovators crankin' this quality and then some down south back in the day? You're wrong. You had to been there. Hot nights no snow to cool it off and allllll nighhht longggg.

God, I totally can't relate to this, but I know that Chicago house was important for all electronic dance music, so I appreciate it at least :D
Hey, you know what's cooler than somebody spinning a vinyl disc?
The people who work with synthesizers and samples to actually make music.

"CHICAGO ROCKS THE HOUSE" I've been living in MIAo for 16 years now. I haven't been to chi town since 97 or 98, and believe me when I tell you, "Chicago is the House originators." I've traveled the USA, and in the summer, their is no city like Chicago.
Heyyy! Rosemoor, 101st and Eberhart...You know it! We had some good times back then. I'd pay good money to get'em back.

House music 4 life
I was born in 75, so I was still too young to attend clubs when all of this happened. Also, living on the wrong continent and all ... but at least I was able to pick up records some years later.
Yo I am buggin over here!!!! This takes me back to the Chi 89 at Leo high school!!! wow

It was a great time to be alive! Every fri and sat night the cassette recorders were going. Heck, spontanious dance parties on the lake! Strangers, would just start dancing. Boom boxes as big as couches. I dont like in Chicagoland anymore. But these days were the best!!

Hell yeah, but that wasn't the "L" train, that was the I.C. train, ( now Metra Electric ) and the South Shore. I remember all that. Town & Country Liquors. All, the good old days!
These mixes are what me and the crew looked forward to in the mail back in 80's Camp Pendleton. Del Mar E club had a DJ from Chi that played House music mixes. That place was off the MOFO on Friday-Sat nights.
My God it takes me back in time. my dad beat the sh- out of me and my sis but man it was worth it we had a blast with our frinds. Nothing but good times.
Dj old school pr ❤❤❤ my home town miss
I'm glad my dad was a raver back in the late 80's/early 90's. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have found a stash of old mix tapes and gotten into this stuff in the first place
This ain't house. This is jack, jack.
