I’ve been combing through all these old Chicago house mixes trying to find a track that said “take me to the gate of sensuality”. It had to be 89’ / 90’. I remember recording it. Long lost but very missed. That track blew my mind as a kid.
I’m in Texas now but Chicago house music will always be in my blood. South side Chicago represent! There’s no place like home. My hangout was the warehouse. Still have my WBMX mix tapes. I loved Ten City!
I'm in my 50s now & still & always will bump the mixes. There's nothing better. The 80s were the best times to grow up. Thanks To RUclips & all the great people that submitted these jams. House for life !!!!!
Yo this is Cool DJ Hi Tech i'm 61 and still mixing house stronger and better Thank you all... HOUSE Head's and you tube for bringing us together Peace......

Man oh man this mix brings back so many memories of going to the Warehouse, Medusas, Waterworks and Rialto's in Chicago back in the 80's. I maybe 53 years old, but I'll be a die-hard House Head 4 life... 💃💃💃
@ MasterChefD, The Powerhouse and The Ritz (around Rush St./State St) One of my friends took me to Rialto's. You really went back with that one. ;) I loved the Warehouse on Jefferson and we all crowded into the freight elevator anxious to get on the dance floor.
Young Puerto Ricans and Latinos in Chicago listened to house and "heart throb" music in my days, while our parents listened to salsa. Unique times. Now I mostly listen to salsa but love to hear the house tracks once in a while . Later iterations of techno I couldn't really get into
Here for my Daddy O 'Gus' 1972-2024 I love you. I knew this was one of his favorite mixes my Dad listened too when I saw the 'Classics volume 1 with the blue background remember seeing it on his phone in the car 'bumping the tunes'!!! With his subwoofers threw out all his cars. 🤍💙
49 yrs old now. Love to listen to the music I grew up on. Tracks are timeless and bring me home Everytime I hear them. Was introduced to house not only on radio but going to THE FACTORY!!!!!
How many remember the party crews, paying 5 dollars to get into the parties, or high school dances. Getting ready to meet up with your group of friends, walking in to the dance/party checking out who was all there, dancing or battling. Fun times! So glad I grew up in Chicago with House music in the back ground! Chicago has great house music, nothing like it!

Reminds me of Mather High School and the Clark Mall back when I was in school class of 92 Remember watching all the great dj's at Shadow's that used to be by Thillens on Devon and Lincoln That is also where I met my husband in 95 and still married so these songs will always be what represents my history and childhood and being a teenager working at Fluky's Hot dogs on western ave. Chicago was a great place at that time in the 90's there was a very special vibe back than esp when you listened to house music and at 43 I still listen to house music. Also with hubby at Amundson's high School he was harder into it and we sit around loving the mixes and brings lots of memories back driving around in his impala back than pounding the crap out of his speakers and amps you know the one that would vibrate your trunk and you would get a ticket for with the pull out radio boy those were the days and that is what I think of when I hear this music. Our kids will never understand cause they didn't grow up in that era! I miss hoyne ave and devon from my childhood remember all that esp wasting all my money at the clark mall for the mix tapes.
Oooh I remember the Warehouse but if you turned your back for just a minute someone was always trying to cop a feel LMAO and it was so packed there was no way of knowing who grabbed ur ass 😆
