Best food = Budapest Christmas market..the variety is simply huge Best people´s vibe = Bratislava Christmas market Most beautiful Christmas tree = Prague Christmas market The overall most magical atmosphere = Vienna Christmas market in front of the townhall That is no ranking 1,2,3,4.. those are simply all very very nice in their own way and definitively worth to visit. Zagreb´s christmas market should be also very nice but I´ve never been there in December, that´s just what I´ve heard so far.

Ah we love Christmas in Europe! Coming from Australia, seeing the Christmas markets, eating nice warm food and drinking mulled wine is just magical. It's one of our favourite times of the year. We haven't been to Poland yet, but looks like we'll need to get over there soon! ❤️

Julian Mach, I actually listened to that one yesterday, and some others. It is also very beautiful. Since I have some Polish ancestry, listening to these songs is like discovering my Polish great-grandparents, who left Galicja for the US in the 1880s. I would like to think that they sang them long after they arrived here, but then, I was never taught any of them.

"Pierogi" is the correct way to name these dumplings. "Pieróg" is singular; "Pierogi" is plural. "Pierogies" creates a double plural, which is a mistake. Have a great one.

My family is from Poland, I was even born there too. But we've been living in the United States for over 30 years. My mom used to make potato pancakes all the time when I was younger. They actually have onions in them too. But instead of sour cream, we'd actually top them with powered sugar. I know sounds weird...powered sugar on onion potatoes... but they were delicious. Especially when fresh!=)

Merry Christmas guys. Polish lesson: One "pieróg" (ó=oo eg. wood)- singular Two, three or four "pierogi" - plural (1) Five, six, seven ... "pierogów" (pierogoov) - plural (2) In our language plurality exists in two versions depending on the number. If there's more than 1 it is called pierogi but if it is more than 4 you would say 5( or 6 or 7 etc) pierogoov. It gets more complicated when the number of pierogoov is 22 then you would say 22 pierogi (not pierogoov) and it stays like that for every number that ends with numbers 2,3,4 ( for example 22,23,24 or 32,33,34 or 122,123,124 etc) greater numbers like 25,36,127 etc will have second form of plurality. For some wired reason if there's 21 pierogów you wouldn't say 21 pieróg (singular) unless you counting pierogi which is similar to English when you say twenty first pieróg I hope this will help you :)

Polish lesson:
One "pieróg" (ó=oo eg. wood)- singular
Two, three or four "pierogi" - plural (1)
Five, six, seven ... "pierogów" (pierogoov) - plural (2)
In our language plurality exists in two versions depending on the number. If there's more than 1 it is called pierogi but if it is more than 4 you would say 5( or 6 or 7 etc) pierogoov. It gets more complicated when the number of pierogoov is 22 then you would say 22 pierogi (not pierogoov) and it stays like that for every number that ends with numbers 2,3,4 ( for example 22,23,24 or 32,33,34 or 122,123,124 etc) greater numbers like 25,36,127 etc will have second form of plurality.
For some wired reason if there's 21 pierogów you wouldn't say 21 pieróg (singular) unless you counting pierogi which is similar to English when you say twenty first pieróg
