Been using since 2014. Its great just add lots of coats so when you remove it, it will be strong enough to tear all at once. Also you can add coats months or years after you put the first coat on to add more layers. Just clean the current dipped wheels.
Only came off that fast for a few reasons, which most likely means a thin coat was sprayed or you did not have your dip on for a long time. Try leaving on for 3 years or more and watch the difference 😆.
@@brothersskateboardco Just think a little, he’s obviously gonna re-dip them being that the the bags on the brakes are new with no black spray residue. If he just dipped it they would be a dark color.
the more you put it through, for example: dirt, heat, cold, moisture, mud, etc. the more likely it will be harder to remove. don’t layer it too thin or it will act like paint, don’t layer it too thick or it will get gummed up and stuck on. it’s really hard to use plasti dip correctly so my advice is just to do actual paint, wheels will look better and it will last longer, and it will be just as easy to remove if you have a can of spray paint-stripper
**MINERAL SPIRITS** if you have issues with plastic up that you’ve had on to long just get a can of mineral spirits from Home Depot I promise you with everything it will come right off I use it every time on everything it’ll get paint scuffs off from gettin dinged by a shopping cart or pole to havin 3rd world dirt on your shit just trust me and thank me later 😉

Depends on how long it’s on and if rims flat surface or slick.
No shit
Your rims are also chrome. Very slick surface
So is a paint job
shouldnt matter as long as the surface is not sanded you will be able to peel it like then when enough coats are applied.

Key is light 1st 2 coats then 4 more heavy
Crazy how much unnecessary hate plati dip gets even after having enough prove the item workes perfectly as intended when used correctly

It cause u add more layers? Like 8-10@THROWSOMEDIPONIT
It's garbage
Plastic behind? Did you just finish spraying it?
I wonder if for old surfaces removal it would help to apply a new one just so it peels better.
Removing it from my rims was an all day process.
I love how it looks on the chrome, shine+++
Now thats cool. Im definitely going to do this to my ride someday
Make it happen!
You just painted one light coat andcits fresh . Try that in 2 years .
I just pulled plastidip off my bumpers that had been on there since covid started.
Which Plasti dip brand are you using?
Based on his other videos he just uses regular Plasti Dip brand
Still has the rotors wrapped from spraying 💀
No time for the weather to cook it onto the surface
Its to contain the brake dust 💀💀💀

Simple green and water ! Or soap and water
How many coats of paint and how many on the clear
do 5-6 coats, nothing under 4
What is plastidip like to wash when you have blacked out your emblems? Doesnt it come off with a high pressure washer at a car wash?
When applied right and cured correctly it should hold for at least a year even with heavy spraying from the vid I saw
All about prep AND the amount of coats done.

How does it hold up to offroad conditions? Like rocks and dirt. Thinking of doing this on my land cruiser.

Try it after a couple of months and it won’t wanna come off

No just don’t use a pressure washer super close
