I was tasked with shooting photos of him with various employees and once that was done he seemed to recognize that I wasn't comfortable approaching him and then HE introduced himself to ME. There’s so much more and I could’ve continued the longest run on sentence in the history of mankind but remember when he took the New York subway, one of the most dangerous subways in the world, casually without any security or even a mask. He just turned 60 a few months ago so I have my fingers crossed that he doesn’t do anything that damages his unbelievable character. It would literally be heartbreaking for millions of his fans.

So a lot of times when we were raising our own kids, we were determined to not smother them the way we had been. Not fully understanding there is a balance. So, there was a lot parents trying to be " friends" and not "parents". We didn't really have the concept nor education, at that time to realize you CAN be friends and understanding, but kids NEED guidance. It was hell. I was sent to a residential treatment facility in Utah-a Mormon-run place that was emotionally and sometimes physically abusive. They forced traumatized, abused kids like me to take responsibility for the actions of our abusers, calling everything we did manipulative. I went there willingly after a suicide attempt, hoping for help with my trauma and severe health issues, but instead, I was broken even further. I spent two years there, from ages 15 to 17, and I’m 29 now, still haunted by nightmares. The experience destroyed my will to fight for myself, and even now, my health has barely recovered.

I used to bar-hop with my dad when i was 4 and the first time i had a beer and cigarettes i think i was 9 or 10. I used to think it was funny but i see now that it impacted me a lot. Having to grow up that early means that you don't really get to be a child for most of your childhood and you become stunted as you get older. I'm glad that Drew was able to find herself outside of all of that and she genuinely seems like a great person ❤

I'm only a few years older than Drew and I remember as a teenager how I was so worried for her when they first announced her addiction problems and how elated I was when she finally pulled out of it. I understand that she will always struggle with it and I keep rooting for her success.

It's a type of recovery group that is mainly based online so it helps if you're finding it hard to go somewhere in person or if you don't find the mainstream AA/NA helpful. So a lot of times when we were raising our own kids, we were determined to not smother them the way we had been. Not fully understanding there is a balance.
So, there was a lot parents trying to be " friends" and not "parents". We didn't really have the concept nor education, at that time to realize you CAN be friends and understanding, but kids NEED guidance.
It's not possible to look with eyes of today with a different culture at yesterday.

It was hell. I was sent to a residential treatment facility in Utah-a Mormon-run place that was emotionally and sometimes physically abusive. They forced traumatized, abused kids like me to take responsibility for the actions of our abusers, calling everything we did manipulative. I went there willingly after a suicide attempt, hoping for help with my trauma and severe health issues, but instead, I was broken even further. I spent two years there, from ages 15 to 17, and I’m 29 now, still haunted by nightmares. The experience destroyed my will to fight for myself, and even now, my health has barely recovered.

I didn’t know that Keanu Reeves had helped her but I am not surprised he’s been a positive influence in people’s lives because he’s one of the few genuinely good people in Hollywood.

I used to bar-hop with my dad when i was 4 and the first time i had a beer and cigarettes i think i was 9 or 10. I used to think it was funny but i see now that it impacted me a lot. Having to grow up that early means that you don't really get to be a child for most of your childhood and you become stunted as you get older. I'm glad that Drew was able to find herself outside of all of that and she genuinely seems like a great person ❤

There’s used to be this app called secret that was taken down cause people were posting heinous things but it worked through your contacts and you could leave secret messages to your contacts on this app. I had one that said, “You don’t realize it but you saved my life just by talking to me” 😢 And that has stayed with me. I have no idea who this person is. I have no idea what kind of conversation I had that could have affected someone so deeply but yeah, a random act of kindness could mean so much. Don't know what state you're in but try search "groups recovery" if you're not in a state that they work with maybe you can find a similar organization. It's a type of recovery group that is mainly based online so it helps if you're finding it hard to go somewhere in person or if you don't find the mainstream AA/NA helpful. Hope you take care of yourself one way or another 💚 🫂
