Everyone curious about tape-ins I just installed my first set I got sassina brand on Amazon and they are GREAT! Came with extra tapes and alligator clips. I bought big kizzy remover it’s comes in two bottles and I tested it out and they come right out! I’m not sure I’d put them back in without washing and re-taping though cuz I don’t think the remover is pure alcohol.

As a professional stylist and extensions specialist, I can tell you that this is not an ideal method. There has to be some of the remover still on that hair, even if just slightly, and that will almost definitely cause slippage (extensions slipping out). Also, I was trained to put the top of the sandwich on first, though maybe because she is using a predetermined section it does not matter as much? Bottom line for anyone watching this and thinking that they are going to go home and recreate this: go see a professional! Extensions do not ruin the hair IF INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED CORRECTLY... if not, it can be horribly, horribly damaging!! Also, she was too close to the root on the first (I cannot bear to keep watching more)... see how it bows out from the head a bit? That is wrong, and probably really uncomfortable for the client to boot! The extensions should sit flat!

Thank you for your opinion as a professional hair extension specialist in microring extensions few months did the training tape in ones .I am trained like to remove tape in ones to use citrus oil remover and after that have to wash the hair extensions and client own hair with shampoo...so when I whatched this video was thinking this is brilliant it's not time costume so much quicker and easier..then I read your comment so now doesn't look that good idea..I'm just looking for a simplier salvation if there it is..which would be better for my client as well as my trainer told she usually asks the clients back to another day for application after removing so she can get ready the extensions for next day and she asks client wash her hair at home.for me doesn't sound so good idea as many ladies doesn't like to go home without hair extensions and I can have clients from different distances, different towns so they wouldn't like to drive back to me again..

top or bottom doesnt matter !! obviously as long as they are together .. and she has already said over and over again its alcohol. many people do that . it evaporates . its not oil !!!!!!!!!!
EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN WAY OF DOING THINGS ... IM SURE IF WE WATCHED YOU WE COULD FIND THINGS WRING WITH WHAT YOU DO ... SO MAYBE JUST GET ON WITH WHAT YOU DO . LOTS OF PEOPLE DO IT LIKE THIS .. THEY ARE A PAIN IN THE ARSE TO BE HONEST
Actually you can use this method, there are particular tape removers that work so the extensionist can remove and reapply to client straight away.
I took out my extensions with oil based glue remover, washed my hair, washed extensions, let them air dry, and glue came off with tweezers easily. This will help my husband not have to spend nearly $1000 on my hair. I can now just get my hair highlighted and a blowout at the salon. I do recommend taking pictures and labeling the image of where each extension comes from left to right and the back, for highlighted extensions. Thankfully, I had two color types, so I kept them together once I determined that. 😊 I'm doing mine this month for the first time. Found tape-in extension tape online. I wasn't sure if it was one extension or a sandwich. Now I know. Thanks!

Different strokes for different folks, this wouldn’t work for my fine haired blonde clients, and I find single sided tape is so much stickier. I have to shampoo. Plus I have to do the color in between. I’m jealous. But with caution.

Thank you for this! I have one extension that is peeking through because of the placement. I don’t need to get all of them moved up again just yet so I don’t want to go see my hair stylist. Now I can fix the one and be able to pull my hair back again.

Don't u have to wash the hair to get the oils and stickiness out before putting extensions back in ?? Because I heard it doesn't stick properly if you don't
+Juliette Kadi hi, normally I wash the hair before but is all depend of the tape my tape when I remove it comes out clean without leaving any residue .
I tell people to come in with clean/ prewashed, dry, ironed hair so all I have to do is remove and reapply. Saves time and $$ for my guests.
Tammy McCrae-Coley she’s using her own brand, Hair Talk. It’s basically acetone. I highly recommend getting it done professionally, simply because you must make sure extensions lay flat to your head and don’t pull your own hair or it will damage your natural hair and could cause hair loss if not done properly.
To remove them use C-22 on Amazon that’s what I used to take them off thank me later 😘

@@rosasmelchor3485 Personally I find the c22 makes it a sticky mess + makes extensions all sticky n horrible to clean . I use 99% rubbing alcohol + they come right out no problem although I expect it’s drying to my hair not that I’ve noticed tho ! It’s cheap and a lot easier in my opinion 😎

Hi, yes there are different ways, the remover I used is alcohol based, so it evaporates very fast, not wet spots.
After two months her hair grew so much.

Reapply the glue tapes without washing the remover out of the hair and out of the extensions? This is crazy and do wrong on so many levels... You need to apply the tapes on completely clean and dry hair! After having your extensions in for few weeks, wash the extensions as well before reapplying the glue! You should also remove any glue residue from the tapes and apply new glue on a perfectly clean surface. I would feel so much dirt and remover in my hair, I can't....

how come her hair isnt sticky or knotty from the extensions. i wear tape extensions and im a hairdresser and when removing tape extensions their hair is always sticky from the glue and knotty. i always have to wash their remove as much stickiness off and they put it back on
Hi, the tape I use doesn’t leave the hairs stickiness and the alcohol evaporates . Normally I wash the hair but in her case I did a Lot of layers and Extensions, so I didn’t want to lose the style. A lot of my customers bring their own extensions and those extensions make the hair sticky, in that case I a always wash the hair and reapply the extensions. Thank you for the comment😊.

Do you recommend tape in hair extensions for very thin/fine hair? If not, what method do you recommend for making hair more full? I used clip in extensions before and since my hair is so thin, I needed to tease my hair a bit before clipping them in (or else they'd slip!) and that ended up breaking and pulling out a lot of my hair.
Kaitlyn o ,about this solution,i suggust you choice tape in hair extensions.the effect will better than clip in extensions.they come freely and comfortable!
Kaitlyn O do single sided extensions not the sandwich. You have to buy single sided tape separately, look for videos. I have very thin hair and made the mistake of using double sided sandwich and it was super painful I had to take them out

There are certain removers that work so the tapes can be removed and in reapplied without washing. Before commenting acting like you know it all, do some research on the matter

Why arent you taking off the old tape?? I found that if you leave it it makes the tape mushy after time and REALLY hard to take off

You’re putting extensions on top of tape remover. Wtf. Crazy. Crazy. Crazy. You have to remove the old tape first. It causes them to become bulky.

Hi. I’m sorry to hear that😳. Most of the extensions are harmful for your hair , but in my opinion the best ones are the tape ones. Every 4 to 6 weeks you retape them and put them next to the roots again where your hair is stronger.

Hi yes normally you need to wash it but my tapes don’t leave residue and the remover is a base of alcohol and water so it evaporates. hairtalk.com is where I order.

Hola, te cuento que ormalmente el pelo se mantiene bien, pero el tape al cambiarlo se va poniendo cada vez más grueso.
Algunas personas las cambian a las 9 mesrs, otros menos y algunos las usan hasta casi un ano.
Todo depende de la clienta y el tipo de pelo. Si el pelo es muy finito no conviene dejar el tape muy grueso.😘

Hi, all depends of the product that you are using, the tape that I use doesn’t leave a residue and the remover evaporates , that way if the customer comes with her hair clean we just do the extensions work. There are some sticky tapes and oily removers in the market that you can’t use this technique (need to wash and blow and then apply)

Hola, las extensiones vienen con hondas y podes usar acondicionador pero no sobre el tape. Si lo haces con cuidado no vas a tener problemas. 😘

Por q no tienes un orden y decides el cabello con peine en vez de las Uñas 😩
Hola, yo no segui un orden, ni utilicé un peine ya que puse las extensiones sobre el mismo pelo del que la retire. Cuando comense la aplicación la primera vez que ella colocó sus extensiones, utilicé un orden y dividi el pelo con un peine para conseguir las líneas rectas y limpias.
Normalmente retiró todo y lavo el pelo, per o ella tiene mucho pelo y muchas capas y para no perder el corte coloque las piezas en el mismo pelo del cual lo retire.
Mi removedor es a base de alcohol por lo cual se evapora sin dejar húmedo el pelo. 🤗

Hola un removedor de Extenciones de hairtalk, pero hice un video para enseñar cómo removerlas en caso de no tener producto . Normalmente tenes que sacar las extensiones lavar el pelo y luego aplicarlas, pero mi pegamento no deja residuos y el removedor es a base de alcohol y agua y se evapora por eso yo las aplico sin lavar 😜
