Mmwave is for sure needed in areas like stadiums or anywhere with lots of people. But yet they're putting it in neighborhoods to serve 10-15 customers 🙄
I agree. And once it get better range watch out. Those test have done it at miles...first 4 miles now about 6. If this is applied to real world this would be game changes. Even just a half mile to mile
@@sean07de2k24 Also all the carriers in the States turned off 3G. Very few regional carriers still have it. And only T-Mobile has Edge still available. Otherwise, all the carriers are on LTE or 5G.
To be honest yes! The reason why I say yes is because mmWave is very prevalent in high density area like at a football game, baseball game, concerts, etc. Verizon has the most mmWave but AT&T comes second, if you have T-Mobile then mmWave is kinda pointless.
Interesting video. Technically speaking, in 2:53 when you move the phone around, probably it is not the distance but suboptimal beam that makes such a difference. Your operator (and its network vendor) should implement better beam management.
I’m from Australia & don’t physically pay for 5G but I have the 14 plus & 5G enable sim card which is on a sim only plan I pay $65 a month for 500gb my speeds are good
If not having mmWave means I get to keep my simtray, then I don't even want it. Glad my 14 Pro still has a physical sim. Plus I think these speeds on a phone aren't really necessary at this moment in time.
Don't worry apple will remove the sim card tray in all models in the future. So it's not a question of will they do it it's a matter of when they do it.
I think T-Mobile has it on all their plans but it still starts at $70. US carrier prices charge a lot compared to plans in Europe for similar plans. Regular 5G and mmWave 5G is so congested in my area, I have to turn it off and use LTE sometimes
Carriers should have just heavily focused on C-Band for the 5G push. I wonder if they could have built out C-Band using the same beam forming antennas that MMWave uses for better more accurate coverage? We’ve had a couple of these super high tech Qualcomm beam forming antennas in every iPhone since the 12 pros but I’m guessing less than a few percent of owners have ever had them activate in a MMWave scenario…
Freedom Mobile in Canada has a 99*$ 50GB unlimited calling and texting ANNUAL plan. First year around 120$ and then 110$ after in Alberta that is due to hihg 911 fees. Using an android with LTE cause 5G is traaaash.

Honestly it's a good thing because they can offer fix wireless access which brings more competition.

Wouldnt it be smarter to connect to 3G since people don't use it that much anymore, you would be one of the few on that network
@john0735 yes if 3G had enough spectrum available

Nice to see the new episode.I have an casekoo clear case that I've been using for about 4 months. long lasting
Now I see why most of our flagship phones in Nigeria don't come with this antenna. Thx

I agree mostly just disagree with the part about T-Mobile.

500GB mobile data you say or did I read it wrong?

@@green9227 I don't know if the EU will allow them to. So I don't think it's going to be that easy.

I download this speed testing app because of you. speed up to only 203mbps..I need to change the yellow phone case.
I also have a visible plan and to be honest I turn off 5G most of the time as I find LTE to still be plenty fast
Hopefully it will be worth it when the price of mmWave comes down to where it can go on budget devices.
It slows down to a crawl when the anchors get congested. Because it's NSA
Inside your car, you're greatly reducing your chances of hitting that top speed 5G
in Romania the max speed on mid band is 1.5gbps
I also have 5G sim card for my iphone. the speed is good for now, about the case: it has stronger magnets?available for your car mount?
Android: "What about me?"
Price this phone cover?
I’ve never seen any crazy speeds on T-Mobile. Never over a gb but still good 400 mbps and full bars
I don’t even have access to 5G yet I’m still on 4G or 3G
almost all 5G phones support mmW but apple put the antenna thing there as a showoff
In india jio telecom gives around 800- 1000 mbps speed in 5g network
I updated my 5G iPhone. nothing big change for me.Can you guys do a video on which MagSafe accessories have the strongest magnetic force?
one time, I did a speed test on the same app, but on an iPhone XR, and I got 24.7mbps upload and 420mbps download one time
420mbps download you say 😏📸
Why exactly do we need more than 50mbps in a cellphone ? I think this is overkill.
Honestly, 4G is all we need. Now that we have Gigabit LTE, there’s no need for 5G, recently I got 103mbps on Gigabit LTE.
Im 5th great video favorite part was the car 2:24
Definitely gotta try it out one day haha
Why only USA has 5G mmwave and in EU we don't have, i will never understand. Also most 5G smartphones don't support 5mmwave except the USA versions.
Its coming in other places
Even in middle East and south africa mmwave deployed
With my carrier on 4G, I get up to some times 400 Mb per second
My 4g in Romania is better than 5g anywhere tbh, i get 250mbps in the center of the city and about 120mbps at my place
Price?? Is it unlimited??
@@passionatebeast24 70gb for $2
Keep in mind in Romania internet is very cheap, internet cable is $10/month for 1Gbit unlimited
There are unlimited plans for $15 for the mobile industry but who needs that much if i have wifi at home and at work and at uni

True.... but too expensive for now...
We don't have that problem here in Europe 👍🏻
Hope the case would not turn yellow in a month. nah.
It's almost Out of stock...
$80 isnt that much..
Third (I understand if you don’t care)
🤦🏼😂😂😂
Y e a h if u have a DVR 😁
meanwhile me using 5G for free and unlimited data in India lmao.
3g is so much faster than 5g.
not if you in the US 3G has been shut down.
That's true with majority of UK networks
I don’t need 5G
