One year ago, we started working on an ambitious dream: to make a docuseries about #aerialfirefighting . But, after seven months of applying for permits, we almost gave up. And then one phone call changed everything. Thanks to that call, this week, we're preparing for our first film shoot with #CALFIRE and their #aerialfirefighters. Can you explain the permit needs? Is that a California thing? How is that separate from freedom of the press or no reasonable expectation of privacy in public?

Our goal is to show you what it’s like for aerial firefighters to fight fires from the air. To really take you into their world, we want to film inside aircraft and at airports and we need special permissions to do that because it’s like private property.
