Bees make me giggle all the time, I suppose that makes me weird but I believe in putting out positive vibes when dealing with them & they are some of the coolest insects if not the coolest insects on the planet! Thanks for watching, appreciate it! ✌️🐝✌️
How to get calm bees on a log to swarm all over? Keep watching. On more vids than just this. Usually u use a bee vac or get the queen (cage) LONG before shaking them all up & disturbing them. Usually u keep the box open with frames out & shake the bees in it, but he shakes bees in the air, shakes them on the closed lid etc. He breaks all the norms. No wonder they swarmed, he harrasses them!
Awesome removal! The bees always find the weirdest places to build. Great to see your notification JP. Thanks for sharing part of your day -- take care!
Now that was a challenging lady! She defines "dynamite comes in small packages". That is a massive hive and they were willing to follow her in a heartbeat. I can't wait to see how they do in a better home. Thanks for letting us share this adventure.
That Queen wanted to be free and kept trying to get free. She is a experienced escape artist. lol She must be a GREAT Queen because they followed her every move and very willingly too. Glad you were able to get this huge hive to cooperate. Great work JP have a wonderful day
So happy to see you're uploading videos again! I guess it must be the active season for them... You're starting to get calls for help again... Keep up the amazing work! I watch everything you upload as soon as I can...
I love honeybees. They are so sweet and docile. The other day, one was busy on a big purple clover flower, and I gently touched it. So soft and didnt flinch! Bumble bees arent too bad, but I m cautious. Bees, spiders and even ants are amazing creatures!!!
That was totally insane! Whew!! You looked like you were going to melt along with the combs! So glad you are back posting videos JP, made my day! Can't wait for the next one!!! 😊 🐝
Hello JP, Good to see you back, has been a long time hope you are well, Always enjoyed to watch your videos and see a man with such dedication to his work and see you at action. Take care and keep safe
I didn’t charge a dime for this one, with the idea I was definitely going to video it, hoping what I make on the video would help supplement my time & efforts. Thanks for watching! ✌️🐝
JP, I'm new to beekeeping and just recently found your channel. I've watched many of your videos, and I like how gentle you are with the bees. I think it says a lot about you as a person. Great stuff. I love it!!
Dont learn the bad traits. Dont throw bees around, he makes triple the work. Take a couple frames out of the box, shake in the bees & close the lid. A few times & youre done. No swarms, no endangering beighbors, quick & simple.
Hey JP I'm glad to see you back catching bee's ! You were the first bee catcher channel I watched and I like how you do it and inform people of their habits . Also you you make it look so easy ! Keep your videos coming !!
J.p. we have a medium sized box up in our oak tree in the front yard and a swarm of bee's decided to take a new home in it. Originally the box was made for the squirrels to hang out in. Should we just leave them be and let them make Honey & enjoy all the flowers on our 8 acres . ❤
My stepdaughtepfather bad 14 hives on his farm in Michigan and I remember working the hives, extracting honey and shaking sworms . You have brought back some fantastic memories,👍
Thanks for another amazing video JP. Hope you're doing well. I feel kind of silly that I hadn't thought of the bees swarming and flying off during a removal. Then again, with how easy you make the extractions look, I guess you took the possibly of this happening out of my mind. Amazing work man!
Another interesting adventure in the life of a swarm catcher. when they cooperate it is so much easier. this one made you work for your catch, and produced some sweat also. You even got to show some nice trees that we don"t get to see here in middle Tennessee. It always brings a sense of joy to an old man's heart to see the dot beside beside J P the beeman in my subscribed column. Thanks for sharing your smiles with us while you save a lot of bees and help others by removing them in a pleasant manner and in words that even children can watch and hear, that is special to many of us I believe.
I'm still binging ur channel I feel so relaxed when I watch your channel u talk to them it's so so Amazing like they r your friends I love it keep up the Amazing work!! Out of all the bee channels I watch your channel is my favorite u treat them so so well.
It sure was an adventure! Loved this one!! Nice going JP. Stainless queen catchers are the worst. Happened to me too. Got rid of those and only use plastic.
I love watching you do what you do, JP. This was crazy...under very thin bark was honeycomb. I don't understand how that happened to the wood? I've seen bees in a hallowed out tree, but not where you could just peel the bark off and expose fresh hive. Can you explain what that was? Maybe I was seeing it incorrectly.
I’m pretty certain they just built into the hollow section of what was left of that yucca tree. The bees can thank the termites for allowing them to take up residency. ✌️🐝
JP... astonishing again good sir. You remain calm and professional throughout what looked to be a stressful job there. Excellent craftsman and you seriously know your bees sir. Stay safe and thank you as always for the content. Thoroughly enjoyed!!
JP WOW what an adventure that rescue was. Your dedication and hard work in saving the bees is much appreciated. Does the Queen have a group of her daughters that regularly tend to her? Or do they all take turns? Thank you. ✨✅✨You’re Awesome!
I believe the nurse bees (which are young) typically take care of the Queen and the brood. But there are always exceptions. If, for example, something ripped open some honey cells and the Queen is covered in honey, all nearby bees will start licking the honey off the Queen. Others will go to the broken cells and start removing the honey so they can repair the cells. The removed honey will be put in other cells. It becomes all available hands on deck situation! I don't remember whose video actually showed that in action, can anyone help my memory out?
@@julieenslow5915 good answer as I understand it. Nurse bees are new bees after coming out of capped cell. They work inside the boxes for 15 days and after that they will start to leave and become the worker bees who bring in the nectar and pollen and water for the rest of their lives which is about 45 days or so as I understand it. Their wings wear out because of their flying so many miles a day while providing their duties for the benefit of the colony. A wonder full thing about the honey bee is their purpose is to fulfill their duty to the benefit of the colony. If only people would see that we are not to look out only for our own interest but also for the interest of others when we are able to do so.
JP love's the little bee's, he takes his time and removes the bee's to a better home. Thank you Jp for the out standing work you do for mankind.
Hey JP , it's your long time friend from Melbourne florida. I'm glad you are still taking care of God's little bee's.
I find it adorable when you are giggling at the bees running all over the neighborhood.
