Arsenal fan here. I didn’t like the way that Adebayor behaved the last season at our club. It was the worst behaviour from a player that I’ve ever seen at my club for 39 years as a fan.
Having said that… it’s vile to witness the abuse he faced from certain sections of our fan base. Disgusting doesn’t even describe it. It’s absolutely criminal to abuse on personal level, family or racist levels.

Arsenal took him from bench warmer at Monaco and Wenger had AC Milan and Barca (or Real? I forgot which) trying to sign him within 2 seasons.... and he was quoted in the paper as saying "I love Arsenal but now I could have a chance to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world"
Literally the fans had just created songs for him in the season that just finished and were singing his praises, and he was eyeballing big money because we literally just sold Henry, Vieira, Cole as we were paying off the Emirates. He was set to be the regen of the Invincibles with Hleb, Fabregas, others and then he saw gold and told the world his inner thoughts.
He literally pulled the rug out from under himself. GTFO with the "Arsenal threw him under the bus" crap; Wenger took him from Monaco's bench and made him white hot just as he did with Henry, and INSTANTLY Ade turns towards "greener" pastures. He couldn't have burned his bridge faster with napalm than that comment.

The old geezer saying if any player is getting any abuse should count to ten and leave it to authorities... clearly lived a privileged life and has never experienced racial abuse 💯

That Adebayor pose is more iconic than Henry's pose infront of the spurs hateful after scoring. Disrespect a man's family after being sold against his wishes.. What was he expected to do, blow kisses

    I'm an Arsenal fan
    I watched this match
Sth touched me today to ask why he celebrated that way
I saw him running and running and running after he scored and i was wondering why is he running? Is this celebration ever happening?
And i saw him slide in front of the fans,my young mine didn't know at the time that was disrespectful and when I found out I was unhappy with his behavior cause I thought he did it without provocation....i never knew the fans were racist...
My God bro.... I stand with Adebayor, the fans deserved worse😡😡😡😡

Impressed by how clued up Americans were on a great English football story. City were really building foundation those times, as Chelsea fans we welcomed the competition.

Well, now that I hear they were racially abusing him, he was right to do that to the Arsenal fans!!!

I swear all those annoying ASF and insufferable arsenal fans who insulted this man and went on to throw shit at him shud have also been kicked out. Like they both player and spectators must have been punished! That's just racism at its purerest form!

I remember this like it was yesterday. I have no ties with any these teams but this was absolutely amazing. He wanted to stay at arsenal but they seen the money and thought that'll do 😂

When fans are rude, it isn't big deal but when players are rude it becomes a deal. Why cannot fans respect the players?

They were throwing racist jabs at him, and insulting his mom and dad, yet he's the bad guy for rubbing the goal on their ugly faces. As he should. It's fair to say Karma has dealt accordingly with Arsenal and it's fans over the years, and they deserved everything they got and more after their treatment of Adebayor.

These fans are crazy. They sing abusive songs about the player and his mother and are surprised he did that? Thank you Adebayor for doing what you did. I would have done the same thing.

What's going to happen if they sell Nico Pépé to another PL team.
This guy is going to perform the most Savage celebration of his repertoire.
