rarity only means you'll drop higher rarity items like you'll be more likely to drop rares instead of magic items and more likely to drop uniques instead of rares this doesn't directly mean you're more likely to drop high tier uniques, on average there will just be more of them and thus you'll find better ones more often like lets say in a map 1000 leather belts drop, if your rarity is low lets say like 50 of them drop as uniques if your rarity is high however, it might be more like 300 of them dropping unique, meaning the chance that one of them is a headhunter is much higher

Mageblood can drop anywhere, so it doesn't matter what you run. But the map they ran and dropped it Defiled Cathetral (also drop the card that gives MB).
Groupplay in PoE is rubbish because the game is "overclocked" - A good build will instakill 99% of the mobs. You are literaly running maps. There's no reason to play together, it's just annoying: you have to keep up. Also 2 people -> + 50% drops means 75% for each. Since both should be capable of killing everything as soon as it enters the screen, there is no benefit from playing together.

Either they don't care about your time being used and how it feels, or they're just bad at the gameplay parts of the strat, either way they aren't the people you should be doing such a strategy with.

So you felt like the 90% of normal players do every league lol. The fact the game is tuned for groups with this magic find bs is why most players dont stick around. Or the crafting groups. Or the price fixers. Lol this game is made for like 1% of the population I swear.
Hosting random maps at league start was attrocious as well. First few days, everyone kept pumping the crucible to 100% and one shotting most group, even if you copy pasta to charge only 50%. The loot was atrocious for host, no map juicing loot cause loot distribution is unfair, so chiseling or alching is near impossible when starting whites without atlas. Not to mention random lvl 60 joins t5 maps, opens 6 essenced monster dies, leaves party. Now my map is bricked cause there is cracked up steroided red beast with 6 essences day 1 of league next to boss. Mapping with guildies was fun, but crucible doesn't reward full item juce to group, only to one, rest get not even half so that kinda didn't work for longer then few maps.

I get about 2-3 apothecaries per 3 000 000+ mobs in a league just running crimson temple without strongboxes sextants or div scarabs.

Yeah, rarity confuses me too. I can roll 600% rarity on expeditions and still get garbage.

If im correct the health scaling is global but the quant scaling is only like 2 screens
