also for those who watched the train wreck of me getting screwed by rng the axe showcased sold for 65d which was pretty much breakeven on all the fails that occured. While letting the video render I proceeded to hit exactly what I was trying to showcase in the next 20d in 30 minutes, hitting another axe with 850pdps reaver worth 120d+ thus making my overall profit close to 50d/hr of time investment. The exclusive mod crafting is very strong and I wish I could have showcased it better but RNG be RNG sometimes. Hope this video highlights the most powerful use case for recombinators for your own crafts, may rng be better in your favor than mine exiles!

Farm modifiers with cloak of tamw'r isley. When gold fever hits, the one that makes the most profit is the one selling the pickaxes
Hey, i think for your very first example, the way you want to do it is to have as many crafted modifiers in the suffixes as possible. So I think to maximize your chances, you could scour the suffixes ( "strength" and stun duration), add another Aspect to the axe and multi mod. that way, across the 2 axes you would have essentially only exclusive mods on the suffixes and making it higher chance to not get those on the prefix.

Exclusive chosen mods means you have to craft different chosen mods on each axe to increase the outcome, you locked pen on both axes a bunch and that caused the brick I think
You missunderstood. Doubling up the Mods (in this case the same pen on both sides) does not change anything about what lance was trying to achieve here. And in other cases it is even preferable to do so because it adds Mods to the total pool (which increases the odds of getting more modifiers) which can't be added to the final product as you can't have duplicate mods.
@@ragganmore6113 Not really, by putting lets say 4 Exlusive chosen mods you can only get one of them maybe - which is 1/4. If you for example will craft ele pen ele pen on both weapons you increase chance of THIS mod to shift to final base which can potentially effect if mods you desire will transfer to new item (You will more likely get crafted mod and maybe your third prefix that you want will not transfer to a new item), by putting 1 chaos pen + one ele pen + lets say ele as extra chaos you half the chance of receiving this mod at all to have 1/3 instead of 2/3 in case of Lance crafting similar mod.
They all in fact chosen, but by putting 2 same mods you increase chance of this mod to stay when you actully dont want for this to happen
@@Evil_Arthas Ye that's not even close to how it works. As the Recombinator first chooses it's side on where affixes are being picked (prefix or suffix) and then respectively goes through the mods.
It regards every single Mod on the Item as it's own Mod. When choosing an exclusive Mod it discards every other exclusive Mod (including the 2nd Ele Pen). So while it may look like having doubled up Mods may increase the odds of getting that Mod on your final Item, it does not. It only looks this way because we saw it here happen and the available mods to pick where only pen. If lance would have used 4 different crafted named prefixes instead of 2 twice we just would have seen him hit more different prefixes, but not more positive crafting outcomes.
When the boss calls, you drop everything. Also, crafting can be so brutal.
Pretty sure you don't want to keep those shitty suffix's on your items. Isn't the whole point of crafting 6 bench mods to increase the mod pool, so the outcome has more mods, while forcing it to choose your desired mods since it can only choose one of the 6 crafted mods? Maybe I'm wrong, not positive.
Prefixes and suffixes are rolled independently of eachother
On the 12:30 axe, should have prefixes cannot be changed, scour on the left axe then multimod prefix, suffix, and beast craft.
watching him fail 10 times in a row was very similar to my attempts recombinating earlier today. I did win in the end as you cant ever fail and can always recover a failed attempt by recombinating. But my god it ate x3 as much divines as i wanted it to.

Trying this to make a 2h mace for my berserker. Doing your build with volcanic fissure of snaky. Would you use a piledriver as a base? I was thinking coronal maul but im not sure how important the attack speed diff is

In 18:15 you had the chaos mod on the left and right would it have been better to have 3 different exclusive prefixes?

Working on a 2p2s shaper shield rn in SSF but getting the prefixes down has been a pain in the ass.
i dont remember what i crafted then but i still remember that i mathed out my chance of failing that often was 1/128 xd. god was i annoyed.
I am fairly certain that you should craft different exclusive mods on the two items and not double up on them.
Double or not it doesn't matter, the odds of choosing the desired non-crafted mod is same.
The reason why doubling gives greater chance of appearing is because it can have 2/6 chance to choose it (simplified math)
would love some more highlights if you craft more with them. Feel like it more or less works the same if you want to make a prefix or suffix base but you can boost your odds by spending a butt load more currency on multi mod tech to increase your odds. Also if you do the multi mod tech you don't need to get 2 items with 2 mods one being an over lap like before?
burning up three times as much currency as i farmed all league long to get a minor success. i'd rather see a tut on how to get the crafting currency in the first place :)

this is good example why you need to be rich in order to win because you gonna loose a lot and gonna win once and if you cant keep going until that win you just loose and for that you need to be rich to sustain it
i dont do those 3 crafted but, i roll worth of inventory t1 - t3 mods with alteration and combine them for good prefixes. its the only way to craft in ssf if you dont wanna spend your whole life farming essences. with this way i got 1150 dps two handed crit fleshripper that worth probably a lot of divines. at least 30 div i guess
(i still dont know if im doing right or wrong. but its cheap if you dont count consuming alterations)
farming essences doesnt work as theyre exclusive modifiers. Eveyrone crafting these does is through alt, fossiil or harvest. For SSF you definitely should go harvest reforges, very cheap and is easy to farm compared to fossils anyway. Alts you use as you get them, but its a finite source you cant target farm unless you scry some alt div card I guess but even then harvest is going to be more efficient. Spawns every map, and with t17s having insane quantity bonus you get probably like 100 rerolls running a single t17 map with good altar spawns. Would be equilivalent to thousands of alts.
@@MyNameIsSalo for ssf alts are more common than harvest. Also you don't get many garbo prefixes.
If you were to have ONLY exclusive mods on your suffixes and have enough in total to have no chance it picking 0 suffixes then you should never get able to get an exclusive prefix and you will only get the mods that you want and the only rng will be 2-mod vs 3-mod.
For these crafts you need to clean the suffixes off and for a greater guarantee you need two prefixes one each item that you want since filling up all mods with exclusives is hard.
The real TLDR here though is step 1: Be Rich. Step 2: Profit.
But then you only have 2 prefixes in the pool and it can roll with 1 prefix as the result. You have better odds overall by having some exclusive modifers as prefixes
Hi Lance, how would you go about crafting an RF helmet with lvl 20 conc & burning damage support, 30% more elemental damage, and t1 life? 30% more elemental damage is an exclusive suffix mod so i don't think the meta mod trick will work. I'm guessing it has to be 4 mods with 2 doubling in prefix and 4 mods with 2 doubling in suffix?

yes. It rolls a 50/50 when chosing prefixes or suffixes first, and if it choses to recombinate suffixes first then it will select one exclusive modifier (as theres nothing else to pick really) so when it does prefixes after there is only 3 possible options in the pool of 6.
But he lost that 50/50 like 5 times in a row. Not to mention losing the elder quality base 50/50 every single time too.

It's been interesting to see people pivot from "Recombs are absolute trash" to "Recombs are absolute S-tier". I never played Sentinel league, and the videos I watched never made any sense, so I have no dog in this fight, I'm just interested in seeing how opinions change so dramatically.

basically they chaged the rules, what recombinators were good for got changed and how to use them got changed, so everybody trying to craft based on the old ruleset was screwing themselves, and the use case is different. Very strong for the new ruleset but different then old variation.
What the Gorrash guy is saying is there was a new patch in this league. Which means they weren't this good on the release of settlers. And what Mr sir captain commander Lancelot is saying is that they are also different from the recomb league.
It's all to say that, people aren't pivoting. The new 3.25.1 patch, which is not the 3.25 settlers release patch, changed recombs and made them useable. They were not useable and way worse on release.
@@armene48 Not from what I saw. I don't remember who did it, but one of those hardcore PoEtubers clarified that they've been powerful since day 1 and no one realized it. The patch changed things a little but according to him, not in a way that made them go trash->god.

Any tips for combining with drop-only mods? I think we can't use the exclusive mods to help force it because the mod we want is itself exclusive?
most the drop only mods are exclusive so you cannot use this method too much, some of the other methods can prove useful for transfering the mod to more ideal base and something setups but you will want to look at the full doc in the reddit post pinned in top comment.
@@CaptainLance9 the reddit post seems to focus on using exclusive mods to get non-exclusive mods like you do here. The only thing I have is you still want to double up mods if possible, but you can't use most crafts to help you do it like we might have done with old recombinators.
@@joeanon8568 the doc goes over not natural mods or whatever he called it, and goes over use cases where it can be transferrable to other bases. Reread over that section. There isn't a lot you can do though

You don’t. You take your 8 div into a Strat and turn it into more divines. Then you do that again and then you have the capital to self craft something
